      We apologize to this member for any confusion. Global Exchange Vacation Club is a timeshare, not a travel company. This member signed multiple documents that there are no discounts on airfare. As for discounted accommodations, we cannot be beat. We guarantee the lowest cost on over ******* hotels or we will pay the difference. We offer over ******* timeshare weeks that can be booked from 2- days to 18 months in advance for an average cost of only $599.00. We offer one-on-one tutorials, or the member can go onto the website for how-to videos on how to use each benefit of the Club.

      We would like to file a claim against Global Exchange Vacation Club with regards to;Global Exchange Vacation Club Account :************ On or about January 29, 2017, my spouse and I attended a presentation hosted by Global Exchange Vacation Club after receiving an enticing invitation in the mail promising a free trip to *********. The meeting, held at a local office building in **********, was attended by numerous couples. During the presentation, we were assured of the club's offerings, including the ability to easily book vacation spots at our convenience.We were swayed by promises of convenience and a bonus marine trip to ************ if we signed up that day. However, once we became members, we encountered significant difficulties in booking any desirable locations, particularly within **********, despite expressing our preference for local destinations prior to purchase.Numerous attempts to secure reservations yielded no availability, leaving us unable to utilize the timeshare effectively. This situation has resulted in substantial financial losses, compounded by unexpected medical expenses stemming from my husband's severe heart attack in August 2017. His subsequent inability to continue his previous employment due to health concerns, coupled with the recent news of the closure of his current workplace, has left us in a precarious financial situation.Given these circumstances and hardships, we believe it is necessary to terminate our membership with Global Exchange Vacation Club Account :************ .       The Membership associated with Mr. and ***************** was foreclosed on in 2023 due to non-payment of maintenance fees for more than three years. It is important to note that the Aldamas are not members of Global Exchange Vacation Club (GEVC) and do not have any outstanding dues with the company. However, if there are any references to the loan they acquired to buy the timeshare, that loan is currently in collections due to non-payment for over four years. They should contact the collection company that has nothing to do with GEVC.

      Utilized Global Exchange Vacation Club to secure a hotel in ********, ** area to attend a basketball game for my nephews. The game has since been cancelled and moved to a location in *******. I contacted GEVC to request a refund or a travel credit to be used at a later date but was told that I can't get either as charges are final. As a fully paid member of this Vacation Club since 2013 there are exceptions to every rule. I have contacted **************** on (2) separate occasions as were told there is nothing they can do. I'm reaching out to the BBB to assist with a resolution to my issue.

      This company is a complete fraud. They tell you that the trips are cheaper they are not. Half of the dates are unavailable. The resorts are not up to par once researched. Not at all as advertised. This is a complete scam and waste of money.

The developers presentation is live on the *** website and all resort and locations visited during the presentation can be booked on a space available basis. Understanding how to leverage the clubs benefits may be challenging, but our *************** team provides personal tutorials, or alternatively, instructional videos are available on our website.The club guarantees the lowest hotel costs, or we will pay the difference all the member has to do is show us. Its important to note that we have never had to reimburse a member for finding a lower rate. GEVC has almost ****** members who would disagree with this member assertion that we are a scam or a waste of money.

      On 1/28/24, having an appointment, we came to the Global Exchange Vacation Club store located in ************. After arriving, we learned that our mother was in the hospital with a stroke. We then told GEVC employees we needed to leave to get to our mother. We requested coming back another day but were encouraged to stay with the assurance that they would get us out quickly. We were repeatedly told only a few minutes longer. Deeply concerned with getting to the hospital we did not fully understanding everything we were being told. Unfortunately, our mother died the next day. We spent the next few days preparing for her funeral. As you can imagine, GEVC was the farthest thing from our mind at this point. On 2/7/24, we attempted to log into the GEVC website to confirm what we were told. We searched the documents for a log-in but could not find one. We then called *****************************, who first told us we should have it already and to check our emails. After confirming we had no emails from GEVC or RCI, ******* stated well it could take up to a month. It should be noted that while waiting for our documents and log-in credentials to arrive we continued to do all the things you would expect when involved in a traumatic event involving a loved one. On 2/22/24, we finally received a letter containing login information. We promptly logged in only to determine that the information we were provided on 1/28 was not what we recalled being told. We promptly called GEVC to request a cancellation. A man answered who despite being made aware of our situation showed no empathy and sternly refused to cancel the contract stating we only had 7 days to cancel. This was the first time we were told of this 7-day cancellation requirement. It should be noted from 1/28 the date of our appointment to 2/22 the time we received log-in credentials was well over 7 days creating a situation where we were already past this arbitrary date before we could not fully understand what we had purchased.

      Obviously there is nothing anyone can say that will cause them to do the right thing. We have cost them nothing, and it would cost them nothing to cancel this relationship. We have not used any service supplied by this company. I'll say it once more they did not disclose that we only had 7 days to cancel. And the fact that we did not received log in credentials until will after there arbitrary cancellation time frame supports the notion that it was intentional to trap us with no way to cancel this agreement

      My husband and I were listened sales pitch today! We showed up skeptics and we left being scammed. We emphasized over and over we did not want a timeshare...their presentation says NOT a TIMESHARE... I wish wed researched it before hand. This was the most misleading presentation. They recorded our conversation. I hope they saved it. You hear us clearly state we were glad this was not a timeshare...then they have us sign on this notepad giving us the 'highlights' of the document. We go to read the documents on the drive they gave us OVER 326 pages. It took us over a week to read. Then on the bottom of a middle document it says we have 7 calendar days. We attempted to call but no response.

      I went to a Christmas lights with my family and this company GEVC approached me and told me to play a game. After the game, they said that I won a free trip but I have to attend a seminar for me to get the trip certificate. I went to the seminar and they told us to buy this deal MEMBERSHIP and they told us the benefits that comes with it. I was pressured to sign up and on top of that, I was giving 3 free trips which made it 4 in total. This company have been extorting money from me without holding on to their own bargain. Everything they told me at the seminar was all lies and the fact that they keep taking money from me monthly is affecting my mental health. I called them to cancel the membership and to refund me all my money and the *** they took from me and they refused stating that theres an active loan on it. Please BBB I need you to help me look into this. My mental health is important.

      I wanted to share whats going on with GEVC. We recently contacted them to cancel our membership and request a refund for the payments weve made over the past two years, since we havent received any real value for the money theyve charged us. Unfortunately, instead of addressing our concerns, theyre now threatening to send us to collections just because we want to cancel.

      Its frustrating because we feel that they pressured us into signing up, and the services they promised are nothing like what weve actually experienced. This whole situation feels like fraud, and were no longer interested in having anything to do with GEVC.

      On 7/15/2022 we went to a place of business to learn more about their vacation packages. The presenter pulled up tons of different places that we would be able to stay, at really great prices. He informed us that this company had no bad reviews and that they pride themselves on assisting the customers. We let the presenter know of our dream destination, which is ****************. He let us know that he can't wait for us to visit using this timeshare. My husband and I feel that we were scammed and led on by this company. They were dishonest and what was shown to us on the screen that day during the presentations, we have not been able to pull up on our end once we were able to. The window that they give you to cancel this service is not sufficient since you have to wait to even receive log in information to go online and see what you are actually able to book. **************** is not even an option for travel accommodations with this company. We are only able to speak to anyone that *** be able to offer some type of refund by a letter, to which we got a very snarky letter back stating that we are in the wrong and there is no fault of the company. This company is practicing consumer fraud and are using deceptive business practices to do so.

      This is not a resolution. I have traveled for many years and the website is not the issue with reserving vacation spots. The issue is that I spent well over $8,000 on this package and have never been able to use it. The places that I would like to travel to are not listed for use at all because the business has no hotels that they are associated with in said locations. When I look to book in the locations that are available, I must use the points that I have already paid for but also add another $1,000 of additional money. This company is very much a scam and steals money from their customers. They do not tell you all the information and once I found out it was past the time to cancel services. Which they only give you seven days. Also. I reached out to the board via a letter, which is the only way I was told is available to ask for a refund. I requesting a refund as I have never used the services from this company. I was sent a letter that I must sign to cancel future annual payments. In the letter it expresses that I also lose the points that I have already accumulated and paid for. Once again I am requesting a refund.

      I view this as a scam due to not being allowed to log into the system to see what listings are offered before the cancellation period. I was not able to log in until well after the seven day cancellation period. I have paid a total of more than $8,000 to this company and have not been able to take advantage of the sole reason we purchased this package. We did receive a call from someone by the name of *****, I believe who also confirmed what was stated about not being able to use this package to travel to Turks and Caicos. He was able to log in and find just one hotel option in ****************, but we are not able to use our points on this hotel. He also confirmed that this hotel would cost us close to $2,500 for a week stay there. This representative also stated that in ********** (where his office is) they usually log in and show the options available. We were not given that option for our presentation in *******. For that reason alone, we are requesting a refund. The sales person knew exactly where we wanted to go, and did not log in to see if it was available. We were not given an option to see any vacation spots for that matter. I truly believe what was shown on the screen while the presenter was presenting was false and misleading compared to the options I see when I log in. Again, we are requesting a refund as this company is not able to provide the services that we were led to believe they could.

      We "won" a free trip from the ***** Polka Festival 5/2023 and to claim it, we had to come to their presentation one day that week or it would be forfeited. We attended that Friday night 6/23/23. They upselled their services for their business' anniversary and gifted us with a free 7nt/8 day trip to anywhere in the world. We have been trying for 6mos to use it before it expires. We have attempted to use the GEVC, RCI and resortcerts websites to no avail. Nothing is free as claimed (included with our membership we have been paying for and financed) unless you can just go anywhere at anytime, which is not realistic. we are in our 40's with 4 kids and want to use this to travel. We have researched many of the diff sites and possible locations and nothing is usable in the US. They even explained how much cheaper regular hotels are if you want to just pull over one night and stay for $40/nt. All lies. We've checked regular hotel rooms and they are more expensive than if we booked individually. We signed up assuming that even if we only used the free week they advertised, it would have been worth the cost and our kids can use it when deeded to them. The free trips were a joke and horrible to work through so we didn't end up using at all thus far. So disappointed in the lies of this company. We couldn't even get reception in the building during the seminar which should have been a red flag since so many bad reviews. We've tried to call many times but they have never called us back.
