The Academic and credentials records evaluation and verification imposing as genuine agency that is working on credentials for foreign degrees. Unfortunately today we encountered a lady that was definitely intending to make money from the customers. When we called yesterday to inquire about the required documents to get our foreign transcripts evaluated. They told us the requirements and we travelled over 2 hours to this location and the lady at the front took the certificates that we had. Then she said there were some more documents needed. Which she clearly knew we did not have. We had the consolidated marks memo which gives you an aggregated marks for all years course by course, but she insisted that they also need the year by year document. When we said we do not have that. She said if we can pay $65 for each year of bachelors that is good. The fee structure on the website to what is being demanded is outrageous. She even charged us $35 for giving back the originals that we handed over 5 minutes ago. She said that was consultation fee. Institutions like these are similar to loan sharks squeezing every single dollar they can. They need to be investigated.

We have called the credentials services a day prior in asking all the requirements and we have talked with a gentlemen who said consolidated marks memo along with degree certificates and marriage certificate or passport are sufficient in getting the degree evaluated. When we get there the next morning, a lady at the door asks us for individual year on year marks sheets along with he consolidated marks sheet. We tell her that we talked with her colleague yesterday and he never mentions about that requirement. The lady then says they will charge $65 for each year. Here is where we smelled the corrupted nature of behavior, if they truly needed the year on year marks sheet they should have told us that and ended the conversation. But taking money in lieu of documents and processing the transcripts is illegal in my eyes. That's when we requested the lady to give back our originals that we gave her 5 minutes ago and she says we need to pay $35 for her time she spent in giving us this fraudulent scheme l. I wonder how many people got foreign evaluations by simply paying them versus having the right documents. So we had to pay $35 and return back. We called another company and spoke to them and they said the consolidated marks list is good to go. I felt it's my moral obligation as a citizen of ************* to report fraud if this nature
