Date: March 18, 2024 phone call at 12:25pm spoke first with ******, front line customer service rep. I phd about an increase in billing. When I signed up with Spectrum the promotional rep. assured me that there would be zero increases that would be incurred by Spectrum, that any increases could occur from the broadcast fees which Spectrum doesn't control. I accepted their word, after asking/clarifying numerous times that there would be no increases. When this service was established we were charged $135/mo. now our bill is $157.16 Some of the increase was from broadcast fee increase. This current bill shows Spectrum increase of both the receiver and wi-fi service (two areas of increase). That was the purpose of my call, to see if customer service could offer a credit bc I was misinformed from the Spectrum person who signed up this account.****** said he couldn't do anything for me. I asked to speak with his supervisor, ****. Will spoke with me for a few minutes and repeated the same, that they couldn't do anything for me. They both apologized for the misinformation. I would like a one time credit. I stated to Will that I did not expect the credit to be perpetual/monthly, just one time as a customer service courtesy. This would address the misinformation and me believing what the Spectrum promotional rep. told me. Neither ****** or **** were able to remedy the situation. **** stated that information to promotional reps would be informed, and possible re-training could occur. While that is helpful for future customers, it does not satisfy my request. I notified Will that I would be pursuing this via BBB, he still was unwilling to remedy with a simple one time courtesy credit. I have numerous extended family members who are looking into broadcast providers, this will be part of me sharing about Spectrum with them as a company that doesn't keep its word. I'm looking for the BBB to help remedy this situation. I appreciate the assistance.
