Subject: Consumer Warning Olympus Garage Door and Gate Repair To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to share a concerning experience with Olympus Garage Door and Gate Repair, in hopes of warning other potential customers. On March 31, 2025, around 6:00 PM, I contacted this company to install a garage screen door and submitted a deposit of $1,350 via a one-page payment link sent to me by email. This link contained no terms or conditions of sale. I decided to cancel the order the next morning, on April 1, 2025, at 8:15 AM, approximately 14 hours later.I immediately contacted ***********, which temporarily refunded my deposit. However, this was later reversed after Olympus submitted a false five-page document to the bank, which included fabricated terms and conditionscreated after the fact. One of the claims in this document was:"I completed my job professionally to the customer's satisfaction."This is entirely false. No work was performed. As mentioned, I canceled the order well before any service was rendered. When I followed up with ***********, they informed me that they would not pursue the refund unless I could provide proof that the company accepted the cancellation. They advised me to contact Olympus directly to resolve the issue.Unfortunately, Olympus Garage Door and Gate Repair has refused to issue a refund, claiming they no longer have the funds and that the bank retains the money. When I requested a business address, I was told they "work remotely" and do not have a physical location. Additionally, I noticed they appear to change their phone number on their website two to three times per day, making communication even more difficult. This experience has been extremely frustrating and unethical. I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this business.

On a Sunday evening, my garage door came off track. One of the rollers came out of the track. With the door stuck open the top was open to air, I called a garage door repair service Olympus out of ************* and they called me back saying they will be here within hour. Man said you needed all new rollers because that one couldnt go back in. I said OK he went to his truck. He took an old box out with a bunch of miscellaneous rollers, different sizesand shapes obviously use. He said He told me it would be $250 being desperate. I said go ahead and do it after the job was done. He said the rollers cost 650 that the cost was 250 that it was 650 for the rollers And then all kinds of other fees adding up to almost $1000. Not knowing anything about it, I googled some things, rollers were $1.75 each at **********. It didnt make much sense to me. I told the gentleman Ill give him $250. This is ridiculous Until I find out further . Monday morning I see a charge on my card for $850 .On Monday morning, however other repair places that I had called that were not open-on Sunday night started calling me back. Ive asked several of them does that sound right? The price that the man quoted me after doing the job when he changed the price, 3 places said absolutely not scam going around that people out of ************* are doing that. I could not believe that it was I was ridiculously off Plus the man changed the price after I put the card in. He did it on his phone. I have no idea. I dont know that stuff. I cant believe the audacity. I did call and reach out to the company with my concerns. I spoke to a woman would would not give me her name. Told me a supervisor would be calling me back, however, that never happened. I called my credit card company to tell them that price was changed. I never agreed to that. Theyre just disputing it for me, but theyre investigating First. I dont know what else to do.please help phone number for garage business is ***********

On 5/14/2025, this company replaced springs in my garage door. They failed to provide the quote before starting the job. They charged me $1585 when typically other contractors quoted below $500.

Do not use this company! They are the absolute worst. I had a broken garage door spring, after making a morning appointment, they didn't show up until late in the day, then told me the spring repair would be $1200, when most companies only charge between $350-$500. Since I couldn't get my car out of the garage I finally agreed to pay them $550, just to get the job done. Then 8 months later, my garage door was not going up properly. I called a different company, who then told me Olympus used mismatched springs (one spring was 37" and the other was 25" which is un-heard of. After dozens of phone calls, they finally came back out and told me that it would cost another $365 to redo the garage door with the same size springs. This company is a mobile company with multiple names and no physical address if you ever have a problem. Olympus aka Gate and Garage are not registered by either name in the State of Florida which makes legal recourse impossible. Additionally, they are not a registered company with the ***************************. Just ****** them and you will see other dissatisfied customers who were taken advantage of.

Our garage door didn't open correctly, it went off the pulley. I called the Olympus garage doors, the repairman came the same day and said the springs weren't strong enough to open the door correctly. He said we needed new springs, even though the springs were not broken. We took his word about the issue. He replaced the springs. 10 days later the same issue. I called the company, customer service was extremely rude. I then spoke with the supervisor after getting the run around. He was able to contact the repairman who originally worked on the door. He came out and again put the door straight. The repairman gave us his direct number in case we had any further issues. 10 days later the same issue again. We tried the number the repairman gave us but it doesn't go through. We have now called another garage door company. He said the springs were not the issue and we were ripped off. The garage door is now operating correctly. This company should not be in business and I would like my money back. It is a shame that people take advantage of disabled seniors.

Absolutely terrible experience!! It was a stressful situation already with our garage door sticking since winter; called for help-made the mistake of trusting Olympus Garage Door Albion; got ripped off for $19.76; PLUS took ********************************************** and leave! No joke, not kidding at all! He had absolutely NO IDEA what was wrong (by his own admission) but insisted first that we had to redo the entire installation (it's worked beautifully for over 5 years exactly as it's installed) then fixated on replacing parts that were not broken or worn (said I dont know when I asked him to show me where they were broken our worn), then tried to play the price is right game despite my continued NO I dont want you to do anything and kept exclaiming that he was "trying to help me"! He just would not stop and would not leave! I called the company to complain, they rushed me off the phone and the supervisor never returned my call! I want my $19.76 back for this ridiculous experience!

********************************************** ****** ad. Website modifies company name based on location - "Olympia Garage *********** Repair implying it was local."******" showed up 10/29/25 said he was from 'the garage door company'. Quickly determined springs too small and could break and the motor was "a piece of shit" (his words). Spring options $350 (*****, no warranty), $500 (US, 3 yr warranty) or $750 (US, 10yr warranty). Seemed like way too much but went with option 2. Declined replacing the motor. I asked ****** for a written warranty and he said to call the office - they said to call ******. Neither have responded.Started researching all this after he left.Multiple 'shell' companies owned by ********* Tchoubikin that seem to just be an answering service that contracts out to local handymen.********************************** ******************************************************************* ********************************************************************************* *************************************************************************************** *************************************************************************************** My credit card statement listed "5D5O0 GARAGEGAT ************ OR and that # ties back to *********************************************************** and similar complaints about a locksmith ********************************************************************************************** **************************************************** shows other 'companies' and complaints ************************************************************************************************************** has a long list of complaints.********************************** (without /olympia.php in the url) lists Contractor's License #******* Bond Number #******** Hung Right Doors (legit company in *******) said old springs didn't need replacing, motor would outlast the springs, new springs were not adjusted properly (putting extra strain on the motor), and nothing was lubricated.

On January 21, 2025 the company came to complete work in my garage. While doing the work, the contractors damaged both vehicles that were parked in the garage. When engaging with the company to begin repairs of the damage, they refused to offer any evidence of insurance and now will not return our calls. After the first call they changed their tone and have now been very rude and belligerent. I made the mistake of not checking with the BBB due to being in an emergency situation (cars stuck in a garage). I want to ensure others are aware that this business is misrepresenting itself and its state licensing. I will also be following up with the Secretary.

On Aug. 3rd, our garage door wouldn't open. I Googled "*** *****", a company we had used in the past. A woman answered the phone. I couldn't hear how she answered but I "knew" I had called *** ***** so I didn't really care. I explained the problem and she offered to have someone over the next day. I asked if there was an extra charge for the weekend because my husband and I had managed to prop the door open and we could wait until Monday. She said they don't charge extra for the weekend. I still wasn't concerned (my mother had fallen the previous day and was staying with us so I was stressed and just needed it fixed). A guy came out the next day in an unmarked truck. I assumed *** ***** was now using sub-contractors. My husband went out and explained the problem. The guy put new springs and rollers. My husband was figuring on about $600. The guy charged $2006. My husband was shocked but it had been a long time since we needed garage repair. We attempted to pay with a credit card but it was declined as "potential fraud." He then tried a different credit card and the same thing happened. At this point, neither of us saw it as a red flag because it was "*** *****." I approved the purchase thinking it was declined because it was such a large amount. We found out later when we filed a dispute with our credit card company, this guy took a picture of my husband signing the receipt, without his knowledge. This was one of the things Discover Card used as a reason to side with the guy and make us pay him the $2006. Within 24 hours of him leaving, our garage door was not working properly. Sometimes it opens. Sometimes it doesn't and it takes 4 or 5 tries. Same with closing. We had to pay the real *** ***** to come out and make adjustments. *** ***** informed us that the guy used the wrong size spring and the garage will not truly work properly until we either replace the springs again or get a new door.

Date of transaction: 10/16/2024 Amount of money paid: $1,000.00 (cash)Committed: to repair my mother's (******) backyard sliding door.Nature of dispute: Three weeks after the sliding door was repaired, the glass door detached from the frame. The service was provided to an 87-year-old woman who can sustain severe injuries had the glass fallen on her. My sister (blind of one eye) who lives at home with my mother called the company three times: number ****************. Spoke to someone named ****** who kept saying someone will call you back. Three weeks have passed, and my son called the same number and spoke to the same person, same answer, no call back.On January 6, 2025, I called the same number and spoke to *********. She said that a supervisor named ***** will call me back. No one called me back. January 7, I sent them an email to *************************************************************** as suggested on the invoice, no response. January 8, 2025, I received a text message from ************ Max is asking for a time frame to go to my mother's property to see the door. I asked to be called and confirmed with Max that it is the same company since he mentioned that ***** was supposed to call me back. Max never showed up or called. I sent him a F/u message, no response. Their license number CSLB ****** on the invoice has expired since 1981, when checked. They have different phone numbers. Business also called Olympus garage door and gate repair I believe.
