1 starFollowed a link from a restaurant and they tried to charge me $20. Both declined thankfully because of a FRAUD ALERT with my credit union. Never had any idea I even signed up for this site, just followed a link at a restaurant's website and got this charge later, but I know I NEVER consented to a subscription service that I will not use.Smarty

I reached out to my *********** had to cancel my bank card & had to send them notice of reverse payment. This is a fraudulent company. 1 starAfter canceling my subscription in February of 2025, Smarty continued to charge my account the monthly fee even after I had a confirmation of cancelation and changed debit cards through my bank. I called the number on their website and requested my money be returned, a back pay of three months totaling $75, I was told my subscription was still active. I told the representative that this was untrue and even forwarded the cancelation email, he then finally agreed to refund me and at the time of writing this I'm still waiting for my return. Stay clear of this business, it's not worth it.Smarty

1 starDifferent claim numbers were generated on the same day during the trial period. The trial period ended before the rebate was sent and the support team based in ***** kept lying about the invoice not having a date visible. After sending what seemed 16 emails with the date visible, a $25 fee was supposedly required to obtain the initial rebate that was valid during the trial. A different name attached to each reply asking for a receipt that clearly shows the complete order and time it was delivered.These people intentionally tried to scam a membership fee, placing the rebate on hold so the trial could expire. They will send the same response to make you seem crazy.540-666-****called and repeated the receipt, but I got another stating something different.This response team was based in ***** and will act as if the software is slow or not functioning. Guarding a refund as if they're paying it of their own salary. Customer signed up and cancelled with us twice and one rebate for each. Both subscriptions were on a 7-day trial and offer rebates for trialing our SmartyPlus **************** If a subscription is not cancelled within the trial period, it rolls over to a monthly membership. For each subscription, someone clicked on our cash back rebate ad and filled out a multi-field signup form which included entering payment information. The last item to be completed is an "I agree" checkbox that requires user interaction to be clicked in order for the subscription to be activated and gives consent and authorization for us to charge the account. Next to that checkbox are disclosures stating the price to be charged and outlining our terms with links provided to the full text details. We also sent a welcome confirmation to the email address on file immediately after the last step is completed confirming the purchase. This signup flow is very clearly identified as belonging to us. It's very difficult to sign up with us inadvertently, unknowingly or unaware that there will be monthly charges incurred. First subscription under email ************************ from 24Nov2024 to 5Jan2025 & claimed and received our $15.00 First Purchase rebate (2704006968-8894403093). Second subscription under email ****************** from 12Feb2025 to 19Feb2025 & claimed and received a $1.37 Food Delivery Rebate (1260986332-5812725168).K. Y.

No one in their right mind would claim a rebate for $1.37. (**SSN**-**SSN**) was an invalid order that generated and never delivered on February 12, 2025. The actual order for rebate **SSN**-**SSN** in the amount of $13.40 and confirmed the same day after being provided. Yes, this was the trial period, however the business attempted to place the rebate on hold while the issue for the first rebate was being researched. This gave the business the opportunity to allow the account to lapse and bill me $25.00 just to get $15.00. This happened before with the other sign up, relying on time to avoid sending the rebate. It had to be sent via ****** by *****. This time was different because the business actually lengthened the time frame for the check to be mailed. So even if the trial was for 7 days, the time frame is being drawn out so the business can keep receiving payments for a membership that is barely used. The majority of the cashback survey's were not working to even participate in the membership. None of these people are illiterate, it is a money grab. I received so many emails claiming rebate **SSN**-**SSN** wasn't valid, but the app showed how the $1.37 was on the same day as not delivered. The support team also kept antagonizing e about the invoice not having a date visible, when it clearly displayed the time and date it had been dropped with the actual price. No one is using a delivery service to order anything for $1.37 when the fees would be greater than that. It makes no sense. Each email was an intentional ploy to terrorize me for a rebate that they didn't want to send.15-20 days to verify the information and once approved then 6-8 days weeks to receive $15 while you keep getting billed $25 is unrealistic. I received an email 3/9 stating the same rebate **SSN**-**SSN** has been approved. That number is associated with $1.37 in the app. That's the invisible order that was never placed.**********Posting my email addresses is just lame and tacky.K. Y.

1 star100% Scam. They've been taking ***** a month from me for 13 months for a subscription I never agreed to. I don't know how I didn't see it or why my bank just now flagged it as fraud, but I didn't and they just did. When I called them they offered a 2 month refund and refused to let me speak to whoever would be allowed to refund the rest of what they stole from me. They wanted to confirm my email. I had no idea what email they had on file because I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THE SERVICE. I hope the *** has better luck getting answers out of them. This was all because of a pop-up in the *** theaters application and any business partner of Smarty (*** theaters or otherwise) should also be investigated and held liable.Smarty

We note that you intentionally signed up and immediately applied for our First Purchase Rebate (2561103649-6715565052) by signing into your SmartyPlus account. You emailed us a proof-of-purchase for your *** Movie Tickets to see ******** on 26Nov2023. You chose the rebate payout in gift card format that was fulfilled on 6Dec2023. We obtained user information directly from your inputted information after visiting a Movie Ticket site (***). Someone clicked on our cash back rebate ad and filled out a multi-field signup form which included entering payment information. 1 starWish I could give 0 stars but I am the one that fell for the scam. I signed up and downloaded the app, then realized something didnt seem right about their services. I cancelled my account through the app as per instructions on their terms and conditions only moments after signing up. Ive been getting charged $13 every month since. I e-mailed their customer support through a different email address than what I had signed up with originally and they stated that they do not have record of anyone with my full name (in which I did not provide in the e-mail) nor did they have record of anyone with the e-mail address I had actually signed up with (in which I did not provide in the email). They couldnt possibly know this information unless in fact they had it on their recordSmarty

We're certainly not clairvoyant nor do we have access to any information that is not supplied to us. This same accusation was covered at great length in an email exchange. The customer contacted us through our Support inbox using an iCloud email address without a full name and Data Protection inbox using an alternate Hotmail email address with a full name. There's no record of any subscription or payments from the name "***** *****" or email addresses ******************** or ********************* After we replied with this information, the latest customer response on the same day this review (6Nov2024) is "Hello, Oh my. My sincere apologies for the accusation. I figured out I sent out two emails. One to ************************************ from my hotmail account and one to ************************************** and didnt realize I sent two separate emails from two separate email accounts and was fully led to believe I caught a scam! You really cannot trust anything on the internet these days. My guard is up with attitude. Again, I am so sorry. I will send the information with charges over tomorrow once I can get access to the information.
