    My mother (**** ********) passed away on 11/07/2023. At that time, while closing out her estate, I had her mail temporarily forwarded to my house. Apparently the Union Rescue Mission took that as meaning my mother was now residing at my address as I shortly began receiving regular, ongoing solicitations for donations from their organization (they were addressed to my mothers name but mailed directly to my house). These mail solicitations began in early 2024 and have not ceased. I sent back a number of them with a notation that my mother was deceased and not residing at my house but to no avail. Finally, I sent a formal cease & desist/opt-out request to URM via their website on 12/02/2024 to which I received an email response from ******* ***** confirming my request and that it would take 4-6 weeks to complete. However, despite this I have continued to receive ongoing mail solicitations addressed to my mother from URM; three in just the last month alone. I sent a follow-up email on 03/17/2025 demanding they cease immediately but received no response, and the mail solicitations have continued unabated. I need the BBBs assistance in getting *** to stop sending donation letters to my home. I am concurrently filing a complaint with the ******************************.

    On June 30, 2023 , I got food poisoning from union rescue mission . I got sick in *********. I was not present in the mission when I first got sick . I was told by residents that they put stuff in your food to make yourself sick . I believe they don't do back ground checks on their cooking staff and just hire anyone. This place deserves to be shut down. Residents complained about bed bugs crawling on them which were found on the beds and so did i. This place is not in clean conditions . And they keep it extremely freezing cold all day . I am writing this report for the safety and well being of all residents at Union Rescue Mission , and I hope a final solution can be resolved.
