1 starI am writing to express my deep disappointment with the dishonest and misleading business practices I encountered at Spreen Honda of **********, ***********Recently, I purchased a set of cross bar racks for my HR-V. When I made the purchase, I was informed by the sales clerk that installation would cost around $100 and would take about an hour to complete. Based on this information, I made an appointment to have the racks installed the following week. However, when I arrived for my appointment, the service person I spoke with informed me that the installation would cost $570excluding taxand would take three hours of labor. This was a shock, as it was drastically different from what I was originally told. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the service person claimed it was because the racks had numerous parts, comparing them to something like **** furniture.Skeptical of this explanation, I decided to take the racks home. To my surprise, upon opening the box, I found that the racks consisted of only four parts, along with some rubber cushions to prevent scratching the car. It only took me 30 minutes to install them myself.I am writing to inform you that I believe this situation reflects dishonesty on the part of your business. It seems to me that the staff was attempting to take advantage of me, likely because I am a senior citizen.I hope this email serves as constructive feedback and that necessary steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen to other customers.Spreen Honda, Inc.

1 starI recently encountered a deeply troubling issue with the service department at Spreen Honda that I feel compelled to share. I brought my 2024 Honda Pilot in for service due to a problem with the supplemental restraint system, under repair order number *****. The technician resolved the issue by simply reconnecting a wire harness related to the airbag indicator. They claimed that debris under the driver's seat caused the disconnection. However, when pressed for specifics, they could not specify what type of debris could have been substantial enough to disconnect the harness. Moreover, no photographic evidence was provided in my invoice, and upon immediate inspection post-service, the area under the seat was completely clean, showing no signs of such debris. It seems more likely that the issue was due to a loosely connected wire harness prior to my ownership, rather than any action on my part. Despite the simplicity of the repair and the vehicle being under warranty, the dealership attributed the problem to user error and charged $189 for one hour of labor. This decision came even after an ******* discussion about the service charges, during which the service advisor exhibited significant agitation. This prompted me to request assistance from a manager. Surprisingly, the assistant service manager, ****, initially offered to release the vehicle for a mere $30 after hearing my concerns. However, this turned out to be misleading, as my wife was later coerced into paying the full amount under the pretense that the vehicle would be withheld otherwise. To address this, I am documenting all relevant interactions and communications and plan to file a formal complaint with both the dealership and Hondas corporate customer service. I also intend to explore my rights under consumer protection laws and share this experience publicly to ensure potential customers are aware and similar situations may be prevented.Spreen Honda, Inc.

Good morning,
Spreen Honda has no issues assisting you as our customer. You mentioned the tech simply had to reconnect the *** connector. Connectors especially an *** connector does not simply come apart on its own. Usually by outside influence is found by someone tampering or simply disconnecting it for many nefarious reasons. The assigned advisor had mentioned you vehicle was full of items under the seat and in many areas limiting any access to the technicians. A picture was provided to you as your non discretionary warranty does not cover this type of repair when found. I will be waiving this diagnostic fee and voiding this fee that was charged to you for customer satisfaction to you as a customer of **********************. Please feel free to reach out me personally if you ever need anything. Thank you / *********************************

1 starDo not go to this dealership for service. They are not reputable. I was issued two extended warranties from Honda for my 2016 Civic due to A/C issues. The issue had to do with both the condenser and compressor. Both of these parts failed and they diagnosed the condenser as my fault and would not cover the warranty. The compressor they charged my extended warranty company instead of Honda. This dealership will lie to you and will not cover Honda warranties.Review fromAnthony S

1 starI had been casually lnternet browsing for cars, made contact via text with ******* over a month or two I had been corresponding with *******, this ***** lady with very respectable and patient. Finally I saw the car I was interested in, I reached out and texted her the car took interest in, she sent me their inventory we dialogued more and she helped to narrow it down I picked the car, she sent a credit app. I completed the app, then another sale person by the name ** began to text me, I explained I felt comfortable with ******* he seemed to personalize that and the energy definitely shifted, I politely told him to escalate the process to the financial team as he did not comprehend elements of consumer law. ******** began to disclose personal information that I did not give him permission to do ( after I requested to escalate to application process to the financial underwriters ) this came off dishonorably as i had already established the need to escalate the call. I felt violated because I didnt want him looking in my credit file without at least asking my permission which is definitely unlawful according to Equal Credit Opportunity Act as well as 15 U.S.C. **** and 15 U.S.C. **** b,cReview fromIsac A

1 starI've been going to this location to get my 2003 honda accord serviced a hand full of times and never had any issues until recently. Friday, June 23 I went early in the morning to get a simple oil change and that was it. I had Representative Ambrosio come to me and tell me that my drain plug was stripped and that I needed a new one, the only way an oil drain plug can be stripped is by overtightening it and they have done that the last time I went to them for an oil change, which was March 24th of this year. I failed to ask how it was stripped or even ask them to cover it since one of their techs messed up and stripped my oil drain plug. I came home and noticed an oil stain on my driveway and went to look down. When I looked at the oil pan, I noticed some kind of substance around the actual drain plug, which I have never seen before nor did they tell me what and why it was there. I called and they told me it was a "Honda Bond" to help leaks from happening but never informed me that they put it on. It was a sort of bandage since they have stripped not only my drain plug once but now it is the oil pan. I have called and asked for them to replace the oil pan and fix their mistake but they refuse to since, in their eyes, the reason it's stripped is because of wear and tear which makes no sense since the only way you can strip those two items is user error from the techs at spreen honda. I am beyond upset and I just want what I paid for but they have screwed me. If I do my oil change next time I have to deal with the error Spreen Honda has done with my oil pan.Spreen Honda, Inc.

i have reviewed your case in detail. You started changing your oil with us 7/28/2021
@ 208,300 miles. Your car now has approx. 230,000 miles on it. We have changed your oil now 5 times over that period.
I have no issue with you if you would like to bring the car in for a detailed inspection of your oil pan. Your car has from the factory an aluminum oil pan. The drain plug is steel. Over the life of the vehicle and the times that steel drain plug gets torqued and loosed especially if you do not replace the aluminum crush washer the inside thread will start pulling down causing this issue. It's not a mystery and no one here at Spreen Honda stripped it out as our factory trained techs use specialized factory equipment & tools specified for this type of service that we do every day. I have not seen yours personally so lets set up inspection together and see what we both see. From there we can come together on the best solution and repair. I can review this with you and we can both agree on the best solution. I welcome any BBB rep to this inspection. Thank you for reaching out...Review fromDavid C

3 starsThe service quality has gone down the last couple of years. I find it hard to justify the extra expense for the level of service I now receive. 6 times (almost in a row) they failed to place an oil change sticker. My last visit I mentioned they forgot that TWICE in a row the previous trip (they had to order a part so I had to come in the following day). On the previous trip I was also disappointed because I made an appointment the previous day to have the window regulator and they didn't order the part in.
Additionally, this is the 3rd time they failed to reset the MAINT light. Now I have to drive around with the light on all the time.
Another disappointment is Spreen no longer apparently inspects your vehicle when you bring them in and advise what service you need. I recently inquired about a recommended service (per their flyer) via their live chat on their website. I asked for the service department and I got somebody who didn't know ANYTHING about the service department. I gave my info up front. When the person said he'd have to get someone to get in touch with me and then asked for my information. Apparently they didn't know anything about customer information.
Why am I paying a premium for the same service I get at the local shop (and at this point may have better service)??
Twice I requested a manager to contact me. I guess keeping their job instead of taking care of the customer is the priority because nobody ever contacted me...
