I enrolled in this credit card program approximately one month ago, under the understanding that it would function as a standard credit card. However, it operates as a secured card with a periodically debited spending limit, and incurs an $8 monthly service fee. Despite repeated requests, I have yet to receive a physical card. Furthermore, customer service is unavailable via phone, relying solely on automated text messages.

Atlas card offers for the applicant to apply. After applying you get approved for a ridiculously low credit limit such as $10 USD. By default the app is set to automatically take funds from your checking account, as the application required banking details. I have other card services that require banking details, however, no such default debit exist. In regards to my concerns I have reached out to the customer service team via chat, phone call, and text message only to received auto generated responses. I have filed a dispute with my bank and deactivated any possible type of authorization in the app that would randomly withdraw funds from my checking account without my knowledge or permission. Not only has $30 been taken from my account they didn't send a card. The last step when completing the application said that I needed to pay 8.99 to get started. So if they didn't get 8.99 from me two weeks ago when I applied what made them think it wise to widraw randomly from my account. After reviewing the website I found this provided info very unacceptable "Please note, while we can cancel your account, to stay compliant we cannot delete information but we can completely deactivate and close your account." Stay compliant to what? I do not recommend this application/card. It is definitely giving scam vibes. I hope that this information is taken seriously by the better business bureau so that no other persons may fall privy to this type of business practice.

I have attempted to make a pmt on the account 6 times and each time the app tells me there is an error while also charging me a late fee. I then asked over a week ago to cancel the app. They only respond every ***** hours and never with the information I asked for. I asked how to pay the balance and to close the account, they told me with a money order or cash app but didnt include the contact information. I asked for the cash app information to make the pmt and they respond with a definition of what cash app is and not the cash app contact information to make the pmt. They are deliberately drawing this out so they can charge and collect late fees.

    Hello,

This complaint was submitted for the wrong company. ************************* is not an Atlas cardholder (***********************************) and is not associated with our program.

We believe this was sent to us in error. This could be the company in question with a similar name - Atlas Fin (******************************************).

    Thank you.

I have an Atlas Card ( Prepaid) which is secure card that helps build credit based on the amount you put on there. I have been adding $50 on the card and making monthly payments on what was used. I get an advertisement that said if you signup for direct deposit from your employer they would match you. Ok so i went inti my employer and added the account and direct deposit $250 into this account to help build my credit. Ok, i get *********** from (Roundpoint Mortgage -***********) and Atlas blocked my account as 0f 1/10/24. The message i got they said it was blocked due toast name wasnt the same. Well i advise them that its me everything matches all but the the hyphened name, *** , first name, middle name , etc. i had just went to vegas a week ago and got married . But as of today 1.14.24 my account is still locked and hasnt been released. Its terrible that they send advertise to add a direct deposit and as soon as you do they lock your account . It wasnt much that i added $250.00. Im glad I didnt add my who pay check because the bills i had going in there has bounced back to the creditors and caused me issues where i had to go in and let the creditors know to use my wellsfargo account. Which wellsfaro account is the one i use to pay the Atlas account and they never had any problems accepting my payments to pay the secured card it its setup with my new hyphened last name. As this point i want my $250.00 released to me and Im taking my $250 and stopping my amount with my employer and sending to another card whom doesnt treat their customers like dirt. The phone numbers they have listed is voicemail only and when communicating they have a 4 hour window but doesnt get back to you within that time. They respond late at night or over in the morning in a chat. No way of communicating other than chat! They want to hold my funds , they need to be looked into for these simple reasons you are a secured card but your customers cant call and talk to customer service and its only chat or email

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlas Card.  After trying to pull up your account, I believe you are wanting to reach Atlas Fin which is a different company than Atlas Card.  Here is their website: ******************************************, ours is *****************************************; We cannot find a record of you having an account with us, and the nature of the problem seems to be a different product than ours.  With that being said, I hope you are able to get in touch with them swiftly and that they take care of your issue promptly. Thank you, and we wish you the very the best.
