We have gone through a very long process with our Lender and our Closer (ServiceLink) to close on our assumable loan. We signed all closing documents on November 23, 2022 and funds were disbursed the next day. ***************************** at ServiceLink was our assigned Closing Coordinator for this transaction. Money that was supposed to be held by ServiceLink until our Deed recorded was disbursed to the Sellers before we were on record. It has now been 2 months and our Deed still has not recorded. We have made phone calls almost on a daily basis to our Title Company, Lender, and ServiceLink. ServiceLink has done nothing but pretend they are escalating the issue to management or re-word the current status to make it seem like progress has been made since the last time we called. In our more recent discussion with our Title Company, they stated they are waiting on a copy of the signed Settlement Statement to be able to get the Deed recorded. This seemed like a simple task, so we called ServiceLink and our Lender a week ago and neither seem to know where the document is and have escalated the issue to find the document and we have yet to hear anything back. We have attempted to contact ServiceLink numerous times since then and all we get is radio silence. No returned calls and nobody will answer us. We paid for a service that we have not received from ServiceLink. In fact, according to a local attorney we have spoken with, our funds being disbursed prior to recording the Deed is already a huge red flag and something that should have never happened. We need the Deed to our home recorded, and the complete disregard and lack of urgency we have received from ServiceLink is concerning to say the least.
