Make sure they inform you about their "Service Fee" and get a quote up front. They are sneaky and will do everything to steal your money. Good luck should they ever call you back and if they do they have a CSR call you and they in turn do NOTHING. it has not been over 6 months and still No call back from the General Manager as promised. Again they tried to trick my neighbor into paying $900 to install a toilet (in which he bought and was told it would not work, again the lies they will tell you. but they did not tell him what the Service Fee was and he paid $800.) I wound up paying $2600 ( $1500 for Labor (which is the service fee too). If you look into their background you will see that they have had a class action lawsuit on them for over charging folks. So please use ANYONE else to do your plumbing needs. Again if you want to be overcharged and have no idea is you even have a warranty that is valid than go with this company. Oh before I forget I was told by the tech that he would come back the next day around 9 am... He did not show up till **** and I had to call him to remind him of our appointment. Yup Poor Service, over inflated prices... DO NOT GO Here folks.Review from Alison I.

Outrageous bill for 19 hours work - nearly $5 thousand dollars. They quoted their normal rate for their plumbers as $325 an hour. DO NOT provide your credit card or sign an estimate, especially in an emergency! In fact avoid calling this plumbing company at all costs. They quote their high overheads to justify billing five times what an independent licensed plumber would charge, and take advantage of clients' distress in a difficult situation. Let me start with the Techs were overall good, however, there is no customer ********************** at the ******* ** location. I called the number on my invoice, and got a recording that it was this lady's last day, Dec 27 2023 here it is Jan 22 ****. I had even tried to email the lady on my invoice and would get a response a day or two later, I emailed back and suddenly no return emails, so I tried calling and just this recording about this lady's last day. So due to this, I sent in my cc information via the invoice and after about a week and a half no charge until today and it was to the wrong credit card and the wrong amount, which was a difference of $29. Now due to the poor admin/customer **********************, I wrote a bad review on ******* I then get an call from a manager regarding my review, then another manager, I think the ******* Manager calls and emails me several times harassing me to change my ****** review. If they had some customer **********************, I would not of made the poor review. I would stay away from them, and use a plumber or another company that treats their customers with great customer ********************** to start with. I will NEVER use Roto Rooter ever again. Nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. Good Techs should find somewhere else to work. Prices are overcharged for a clogged tub, they wanted $330. after paying them good money for other services. Use a local plumber and or company that knows about customer **********************.Review from Corey H

The employee that came out lied to me about what he was going to accomplish at the property. After completing half of what he promised he said he was done and charged me the agreed upon price for completing all the work. Very unethical company!Review from Shan W

Unfortunately, they charged me $1100 for something that I later found out (from multiple other plumbers) should be anywhere from $200-$350. I was so disappointed and truly felt like I was taken advantage of. I wish I had gotten a second opinion!Review from Mags R

We called them because our water bill trippled and we were not sure why. He showed up, charged us $140 for the visit. He told us we dont have a water pressure regulator but needed one desperately. He said this costs thousands of dollars but he'd give us a deal, only $1300.My husband found the regulator this morning. He replaced it for $40. We still don't know why our water bill is so high. ********************** on people that want to scam you.Review from Dominique W.

We had a horrible experience using roto-rooter remediation service. We were made many promises and guarantees that were not kept. The workers they had completing the clean up completely gutted our basement and we were told over and over the insurance will cover any items or work they need to do. Needless to say, that was not the case. They did way more than was required because we were filing with insurance and they wanted to get a bigger payout. One of the workers could be overheard saying to another worker at one point "Anything that you see that would make us money do it." We were hesitant on a lot of the work they were doing, because it seemed over the top for the circumstances, but they used scare tactics to get us to comply, saying if we don't allow them to do it then the insurance may not cover our claim. Our insurance is not covering all the costs anyway and we are stuck paying the cost to repair our basement and replacing all of our items. The crew threw out several items without asking first leaving us to wonder what we did and didn't have to replace. When we asked if we needed to move things before they started working we were told no and we were charged an extra fee for them "having" to move our items. On the last day we were told to sign a document to confirmed to pickup the equipment but the document signed was a document saying everything was done to our satisfaction. Also once we saw Roto-Rooter finalized paperwork it says the homeowner was not available on the last day of pick up when we have proof we reached out to your company to pick up your equipment because we did not want to be billed extra. We have a lot of other complaints as well and fell that Roto-Rooter falsified documents and manipulated the whole situation in order to get paid at our expense.Review from Edgar M

I had a small leak on the wall on Friday 5-20-22 I did open the claim with my insurance and I call Roto Rooter Water restoration Service of ***** *******.Sales person of Roto Rooter arrived and agreed to make the water restoration under $3000 which was the *** the my home insurance can pay for water restoration service.In the afternoon Roto Rooter technician start working without waiting that the leak to be fixed or without closing the main water line and accidentally he heat the pipe and flooded the other 2 rooms and my living room.I called the manager of water restoration of Roto Rooter in ***** and I he was not polite at all with me by phone ,the company needs to train the managers how to treat the customer.Water restoration start working and trying to dry without removing the laminate,the machines worked 4 days and today I removed the laminate by myself and found water all over and smell of mold in all rooms.Roto Rooter told me that they will take care but I don't hear anything from them so I'm going to call ad attorney.I found Roto Rooter very unprofessional in working and handling my case ,they damaged my house and are doing nothing to help me out and declined to my insurance even was not a leak but a flooding caused by Roro Rooter Water restoration teamReview from john p

I feel that Roto-Rooter greatly overcharged me for replacing a hot water heater, both for the water heater and the labor cost. Make sure you get a breakdown of the charges and whenever possible get additional bids as well.Review from Cynthia T

Although the plumbing service was good, we were given misleading information. We had previous work done back in June of 2021 which cost ****. We were told by Roto Rooter that we could apply for financing through ************** in which we were approved. We were also told that we could use that card for other purchases relating to plumbing. When the plumber came out last week and we tried to use the card, the plumber was unsuccessful resulting in us paying out of pocket. I immediately contacted Roto Rooter about the incident and was told by a rep named ***** that we could not use that card as we would have to reapply with synchrony again. I told her that did not make sense as we already have available credit through the bank. ***** asked me to give her a couple of days to speak to her manager last week, I called her on Friday and she asked for more time. Today I called and a very rude admin answered cutting me off when I tried explaining why I was calling. I then asked to speak to ***** and she responded rudely saying ***** is only an admin and cant help me. I then got frustrated and asked to speak to ***** and the lady put me on hold then came back saying we would have to reapply with synchrony and if approved provide them with the confirmation. Just ridiculous and poor customer ********************** on their end!
