I am a patient of Athenix in ********, ** who was left permanently disfigured by one their surgeons several years ago. When I had gone in for a consultation, the girls at the front desk continuously touted the many qualifications of ************************* and what an amazing doctor he was. I was initially happy with my results, but as the healing progressed I noticed many issues with poorly done areas and severe lumpiness. The surgery itself was a nightmare, as he didnt fully sedate me and staff could be heard laughing and conversing throughout. Music blaring through the surgery suite. When **************** was terminated after numerous patient complaints and issues, **************** took over and did some corrective work to address my poorly done surgery. At one point he asked me to come back in a year when he anticipated advancements in surgery options to address an area on my abdomen that he was unable to correct at that time. When I came back a year later, as suggested, ****- who I believe is the practice manager, told me of their new surgeon who was absolutely amazing and his board certified statusthe same girl who had previously and enthusiastically talked up how wonderful **************** was and of his qualifications. Elle was well aware of what Id been through to this point. And it was **************** who suggested this visit. But it was extremely offensive when she curtly announced rather loudly in the office waiting area that There will be no more free surgeries framed as if I was some opportunist.I suggest that Elle might wish to check her attitude and conduct herself with some professionalism. Put yourself in your customers position. I guarantee if you wound up with the results I did, you would feel the same and would want it corrected. I very easily could have gone after Athenix legally for what happened under their care- but I chose not to. To this day, I am still scarred from what their alleged amazing plastic surgeon did to my body.
