I am very disappointed in the quality of work performed by a College Works Painting crew in *********. I contracted with Zach to paint the exterior of our house. Once he informed me that he and his one man crew had completed one side, I inspected their work. I was shocked at the poor quality. There remained an abundance of failed paint beneath the fresh, thin and uneven coating of paint. Bubbled paint and flaking paint was easily flicked away with a finger. Vertical joints were not caulked and over spray was evident on the downspouts although I was assured that they were removed prior to painting. Pointing out the poor quality, Zach assured me that he could fix it and wanted to show better, quality of work by the end of the day. At the end of the day he came to me to reinspect his work. Unfortunately and disappointingly it was little better than the morning and I determined it best they not continue. I sent a complaint, along with pictures, an invite to see the work firsthand and a request for a refund from his supervisor. His supervisor (****) contacted me by phone, refused to see the work firsthand, relied on photos to stand behind Zach's poor quality work and refused refunding any portion of the refund. The cost of paint and labor was just over half of the $2000 deposit. Zach stated when he left that day that he didn't make money, I'm out $2000 with nothing to show for it. I suspect his supervisor made money and did nothing.

By far the worst customer experience I have ever had. They destroyed our gutters by improperly painting over the factory finish without cleaning them after we had asked them not to paint the gutters at all. They painted over our wood siding without scraping most of the peeling paint. They dribbled paint all over our sidewalks, limestone porch caps, and roof. They dumped the paint in multiple areas in our backyard which killed our grass. We asked that they figure out a fix for the gutter issue, and for them to try again on the scraping and painting, however, they responded by saying it is not worth it to them to clean up or complete the project.100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. IF I COULD GIVE "0" OR NEGATIVE STARS I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD.

difficult company - trying to get down payment back do not recommend

It was a horrible experience. Very inexperienced painters. They left a mess, they didn't paint everything as agreed upon, they didn't show up when they said they would. I placed a formal complaint with headquarters and the manager over my project, three days ago and have yet to hear from them. Horrible work and horrible customer service. What a rip off. "

I had my house painted by Collegeworks during the week of May 31 through June 4, 2021. I didn't feel that the manager listened or paid attention to my issues with the work as it was happening. The pressure washing and other prep work was spotty at best and caused the new paint to bubble up and could be flaked off with just a finger wiped over it. My house is brick and I do not believe they really knew how to handle painting brick. I was quite a harrowing experience. I have no faith that it will hold up over the long haul in WI weather."

Potential customers - DO NOT CONTRACT WITH College Works. We have tried to get our problems resolved or a credit on our contract since summer 2020. They just refuse to give an inch. They were late to start, late to finish, sprayed on the paint (that was supposed to be 2 coats). Told we would have a 3 person crew. Only 2 (and they didn't speak English so we couldn't communicate with them). 3rd man came only to see what was going on. Left paint on surfaces not to be painted. NOTE: They even painted our gas dryer vent so it didn't let any exhaust out - talk about carbon death!! They trampled on our plantings. We are totally disgusted with this company. I would not let them paint a dog house!! Wanted to leave a zero star rating but can't.
