This business is yet, another one of those businesses that intentionally mislead potential customers into believing that they are finally receiving the help they so desperately need by repeatedly mailing out letters stating that said customer is approved for a loan. However, when the customer goes to the website, utilizing the pre approval code provided in the aforementioned letter to accept the loan, they deny you even before the full webpage is finished loading. Are they the only ones that do this heartless, predatory, practice? No. However, its BEYOND time that these types of misleading, unnecessary, scam-esque, types of tricks from these types of companies are exposed and ceased. Its hard enough in this economy, not only actually receiving the financial help, or life raft, if you will, that people DESPERATELY need, but also, to fully accomplish repairing your credit. So, to do these insensitive, unnecessary, scamming/misleading/tricking, types of operations, that causes even more damage to the credit youre attempting to repair is foul, repulsive, uncouth, and a few additional words I cant say here. So, if youre able to, go to and use another business that doesnt do the aforementioned negative practices. Go to and use a business that treats their customers in ways that show that they ACTUALLY care and want to help, opposed to simply get over on and trick you. Thank you for taking the time to read this. God bless.

This client was unfortunately not meeting the credit requirements for the loan at the time the application was submitted.  A decline letter will be mailed to the client that explains this in more detail.  The submission uses a soft credit inquiry, which has no impact to the credit.  We wish the client the best in finding a solution.

These people are using false advertising tactics. I was offered a loan, and then told I was only qualified for debt relief.

Management attempted to call this client and left a message regarding his feedback.  The client applied for a loan but unfortunately wasn't meeting the credit requirements needed to secure a loan at this time.  He will receive a decline letter in the mail providing the details for the decline, but the client is welcome to call us back to verbally discuss any of the specifics.  It's not appropriate to provide them in this response.  Debt Resolution was merely mentioned as another option available for him to consider.  We encourage the client to contact us with any questions.

I was told a loan would be offered based on my monthly income, NOT creditworthiness. This is false advertising and it’s written in your ads. I’m taking this a step further, and contacting the district attorney to see if there’s legal action available.

I got nonstop mail offers in the mail by this slimy company. I was attended by ***********************. I was looking for a loan to consolidate debt that had accumulated during summer time plus invest in my own business as I am awaiting for a money settlement from my injury lawyer. **** was good until he went to underwriting. I got a separate email of him doing an analysis of my debt pulled from my credit report. He was talking so fast that he was forcing me to get without my consent into a debt consolidation program. I called it a scam as he talked fast and forcibly, and he got angry that he told me that no one would approve me of a loan. Before I could throw him a fit of insults at him for being humiliated after I explained my current financial situation, I hung up on him. I may also file and sue this company at civil court/consumer rights for this unprofessional and predatory behavior I will not stand for such white collar criminal act!

Management spoke to the client today and advised we take customer service complaints very seriously, and we'll be reviewing the call in question.  We placed the client on our do not mail list moving forward.  The client appreciated our call and steps we're taking to address any mishandling.

This company continually sends me things after I have asked to not receive their garbage. PreSelected is just fancy misleading to Pre Approved. They dupe their customers to signing up for debt relief not a loan. The bait you with great repayment options and say you've been selected!! Like it's a prize. But in reality they sent it to everyone. Not as advertised, and reading the other complaints Im apparently not the only one this happens too. The way they operate is terrible. Which is misleading and scam likely. There are many companies like this and they should have to state on their mail that they are out to ruin your credit with the "relief" program. I take the continued mailing as harassment for not going with their program. STOP SENDING ME JUNK PLEASEEEE!! I know the scam and I am not having it. Junk mail should be illegal if we are trying to save this planet!! But this company doesnt care, and will spend thousands on JUNK MAIL to be sent out, and then pay it in fees from the people they trick. Please leave me alone, I dont want any part of your company! I want all my information removed from you systems, backup systems etc. My social, number, whatever you have on me delete it. I dont want my information in your hands and I dont want to be in contact with you at all. This is a scamming company, and should be ashamed. If I receive mail again or my information is still in your files I will take legal action! Thank you and goodbye.

You have been added to all of our Do Not Call lists and will start to be worked out of the system. I imagine that after 30 days, you will never get something in the mail from us ever again. We are so sorry the inconvenience this has caused you. We understand how precious your mailbox is and having to discard these is an annoyance. It will stop!

Simple Path Financial approached me for marketing an unsecured personal loan to reduce credit card debt. I expressed interest and possibly filled out a form. The said the underwriting report was completed and to set up a time to "discuss". At the onset of the phone call, they said they were on a recorded line, they then repeated my current exact dollar financial status into the phone 2x. I did not give them permission to: a. discuss my personal finances over the phone: b. Create a Financial Analysis of my debt and present it to me as a different company called Rescue One Financial and then present me with a debt consolidation offer,

Thank you for your feedback.  Unfortunately, you weren't meeting the credit requirements for the personal loan at this time.  Alternatives options available through affiliates are presented for consideration only.  Your file has been cancelled, and you have been removed from future solicitations.  We wish you the best in paying down your debts and achieving your financial objectives.

I was sent a letter offering a loan stating I was "guaranteed" a deposit to my bank account. I wanted to pay off some credit card bills with a debt consolidation loan. Even though I pay my bills every month and am a responsible consumer, I was told that I was utilizing too much of my available credit and that the company reneged on its offer of a loan. Instead, I was asked to join Simple Path's debt consolidation program where I would stop paying some of my creditors directly and get my balances lowered. I had previously taken this route with another company and did not want to do that again. I declined. This company needs to stop sending its "fake check" letters to customers and send something that TRULY explains what is being offered.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/11/2024

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for any confusion.  The letter you received was an offer to apply for a loan, not a guarantee you would be approved.  If you would like any further clarification on why you weren't approved at this time, please contact us.  Any applicant that is declined will also get a letter in the mail explaining this.  Alternative options to resolve your debt are only presented for your consideration to try and help.  We wish you best of luck in achieving your financial goals.

I was contacted by this business, by an employee of the name Eric Aday, who offered to check and see if I would quality for a debt consolidation loan. I was not approved for the loan so he referred me to a partner by the name of Freedom Debt Relief. Eric calculated my monthly payments and told me after 6 months of on time payments, I would be offered a debt consolidation loan that would pay off my credit cards. I agreed to this for this reason and this reason only. This was on March 3, 2023. It is now March 1, 2024 and I still have not been offered a loan. After the 6 moth mark, I have had several conversations with Eric and Freedom Debt Relief about the status of the loan. I have made 11 on time payments and haven't heard anything yet. At first they told me they switched loan companies and that was the reason for the hold up. Now they are telling me I haven't paid off enough of my debt, even though I've been making the exact payments they told me to make. I have stopped paying my credit cards for a year now and paying them directly as they told me to but with how much I've paid them - I could've had so much of the debt paid down already. They are liars and predatory.

I applied for a personal loan with Simple Path and went through the application process with an individual that told me I was approved for a loan and would be transferred to another professional to finalize the details. Upon speaking to this person, he told me that I qualified for a loan and took further personal information. Halfway through the call we got disconnected and I could not get ahold of him for 2 days despite calling numerous times and being told by others that he was the only person that could help me. Finally, I received a call from a very condescending individual trying to sell me on a debt relief program because I did not qualify for a personal loan. When I told him I wasnt interested, he back pedaled and told me that I did qualify for a loan and then quickly transferred me to another company entirely called ***************************. The gentleman on the other side of the phone had no warning about who I was nor was I told that I was being transferred to a completely different company. I had read the other reviews prior to calling Simple Path so I should have known better but because they are BBB accredited I took the reviews with a grain of salt, only to experience the exact same thing. Simple Path is a scam and advertising as something they are not. You absolutely will get the run around only to be sold on a debt relief program that will ruin your credit and reputation with creditors. Anyone looking for a real personal loan option should beware of this company. Im not sure how they are keeping their accreditation. Ive never been more frustrated with a company in my life.

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for any confusion.  We reviewed the call and agree your consultant should have done a better job explaining things.  You weren't meeting the credit requirements for our lending option, a decline letter is being mailed to you that will explain why as it's not appropriate to mention here.  Debt resolution was mentioned for your consideration, and when you weren't interested in that option, you were transferred to a lending partner to try and assist you further.  A manager has tried to contact you a couple times.  Please get back to him directly if you have any additional concerns or specific questions.  Thank you.

I received a letter saying I was reapproved for a 30k loan. I filled out the information and received an email stating underwriting made a decision and I needed to set up a phone call. I set up the call and they didnt call at the designated time. I found they had the phone number wrong but figured I may have typed it incorrectly. Finally got a hold of someone one that had been emailing me and they took ALL of my info all over again like I was applying over the phone. Then said they had to call back after underwriting went over the file. They called back and I was declined for a loan and instead told In qualified for the Federal Debt Relief program. I asked to see the details and it was emailed to me but what was emailed and told to me made it seem like I was getting a loan for some of my high interest credit cards and in turn my monthly payments were cut in half. I signed up and was told I had to have a final phone call 3 days later. Immediately after the first phone call I started thinking something was off. I tried calling them back and no response. I found that you pay a certain amount into an account and they negotiate lower pay offs with your creditors AFTER you stop paying them and ruin your credit more than it may already be. I sent an email to the person asking for clarification, no response. I sent an email asking to be removed from the program, no response. I sent an email stating they do not have authorization to debit my account and to please confirm my removal from the program, no response. Its been a week and still no response and I never had my call 3 days after signing. I need to know for sure that Ive been removed from the program. Its bad practice to ignore calls and emails.
