    January 4, 2025 I purchased a "package" from Varsity for the on-line driving test required by *** for my daughter to get her driver's permit and the 6 hours of behind the wheel training that is required. The cost was $495. Today my daughter got her permit and needs the first behind the wheel course to begin driving, as required by CA Law. The first afterschool (3pm or later) appointment Varsity had was a MONTH away on March 6th. The first anytime appointment was 2 weeks away on Feb 19th. Nowhere did it warn me in purchasing this package that I would not be able to schedule the ******s timely. Although the scheduler I talked to on the phone said "we are always booked and scheduling several weeks out." Very frustrating and very misleading in that my receipt even says *********** is closed Saturday and Sunday. However, our instructors' work 7 days a week, so we can accommodate most appointment times within reason." Unfortunately the truth is that they cannot accommodate most schedules within reason! I don't think one month out is reasonable. Nor do I think 2 weeks out and missing school is reasonable. I called another driving school I found on ****** (GNC Driving) and they scheduled my daughter for afterschool TOMORROW. I feel like Varsity either falsely advertised and/or prioritizes people who have not pre-paid. Either way, I think it is an unfair business practice. I would request that they either refund me the full $495 and we will go elsewhere, or refund me the $150 I paid to *** for the one ****** to get her permit signed off timely and honor the packages I purchased from them.
