I purchased an 85 TV from Best Buy. Once I plugged the TV in there was horizontal and vertical lines on the TV. It was past the date to be able to return it to Best Buy when I opened it up. So Best Buy said to contact TCL ****************** After sending description and pics of what was wrong with my NEW TV. They said it was NOT covered under warranty. They said it LOOKED like physical damage and Physical damages arent covered under warranty. I explained to them that there was NO damage to their Box or NO damage to the TV. They continue to not honor their warranty. I told them it had to be a bad TV from the factory. They didnt care. How can a company send you a DEFECTIVE Product and then not cover it? I just want a NEW TV to replace a defective one. By the way. I have spent over $10000 on TVs from TCL I have also purchased 4 98 TVs and a 65 TCL TVs in the last 3 months. My 75 inch TCL tv quit working within 11 months.We spent 2 hours on the phone with them, and we sent videos of the tv not working. That was 14 days ago. we continue to send TCL messages with no responses for the last 7 days. We have a 3 year warranty on this tv. 14 days without our tv being repaired or replaced is ridiculous, especially after no responses in last 7 days.Initial Complaint

I bought my tcl television through ****** in August 2024. It has a one year warranty. I started experiencing issues in February 2025. I contacted customer support in May 2025. I went through extensive troubleshooting over the phone and via email. When none of this fixed the issue, TCL support agreed to send a technician to repair the TV. This did not fix the issue and led to further issues that make the television unresponsive nearly every time it is used. When I contacted the company again to tell them this, the continued to provide troubleshooting steps that I have completed and asked that I provide more evidence of the issue despite the fact that I had already provided extensive evidence over the past several months on numerous occasions. It has become clear that they are giving me the runaround given I have been in contact with them for four months to resolve this issue. I am requesting that they replace my TV or refund me as they are obligated to do under the warranty.Initial Complaint

Bought the air conditioner 3 months ******* it does not work and the company will not replace under factory warranty and neither will ********** I need a resolution on getting them to replace it or refund my money The ** will not shut off.The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.The fan will not ******* cannot use the remote or any of the buttons.The compressor continues to run until you unplug it I have tried all the troubleshooting on their website and nothing works.I need to know what to do to get this resolved quickly.Initial Complaint

We bought a TCL air conditioner on Sept. 10, 2024 from *******. It has a manufacturers warranty for one year. In mid-July the evaporator coils in the front of the air conditioner froze and had a significant amount of ice on it. I did not take pictures of it. We shut it off, let it thaw and turned it back on. It worked fine for about a week and a half and then it froze again, this time it froze on the side of the evaporator coils close to the controls. We contacted TCL. We sent the majority of the pictures we were asked to send but they told us they were blurry or they did not receive them. This took up time. As you can see in the pictures we needed to remove the casing to get the serial number and barcode that ********************** was asking for. They are claiming that the window air conditioner was exposed to the elements and that is why it froze. The only time the casing was removed was to take the last set of pictures. TCL is refusing to honor the warranty.Initial Complaint

The LED backlight on my 55" TCL TV died after only 3 years of moderate use. The screen is now black and doesn't display picture. Upon researching the issue, there are hundreds if not thousands of reviews and comments online about this issue happening between 2-5 years of purchasing the TV. Upon calling TCL customer support you will be told the manufacturers warranty is only 1 year so the only option is having the TV repaired somewhere. This is an obvious product defect they are choosing to ignore and is the reason they offer only a 1 year warranty.Initial Complaint

I have communicated to TCL support all requested information to include images, videos, serial number, original receipt, and I still have the original box.This purchase was made 4 ago. There is no resolution to a case I opened 1 months ago. I have updated the suggested software with no resolve of the ongoing issues. They have said they have escalated the issue WITH ZERO COMMUNICATION SINCE. I. When did the issue start to happen?Within 12 months after purchase.II. Are there any external devices connected to the TV?Yes, a Bose Smart Bar is connected. However, the issue occurs regardless of whether the soundbar is connected or not.III. Does the issue happen on all built-in streaming applications and regular channels?Yes, particularly on Prime Video, ******** and Paramount+ but the instability appears across all apps.IV. Does the issue occur with any connected devices?No video/audio issue with the Bose Smart Bar (connected via HDMI ARC), but this doesnt seem to be related to the display/app problems.V. Does the issue happen while it is on the home screen?No, the home screen loads fine which further indicates this is a software malfunction within the app layer or memory ***********. How often does the issue happen?Routinely applications crash and exit either back to the apps home or the TCL home screen. This happens several times per day, making it frustrating and unreliable for streaming content.Additional **************drain the TV every other day as a preventative measure.The software is confirmed to be fully up-to-date.Automatic updates are enabled, and Ive verified this is not the root cause.All issues persist despite clean startup, no external app installation, and proper device environment.This appears to be a software or internal memory handling fault that affects daily functionality.Request for Resolution:This level of degradation and instability within the first few months is unacceptable for normal use.Initial Complaint

On May 27th of this year I purchased a TCL 43 Inch hdtv from *******. From day one the tv had a small black substance in the corner of the screen. After 2 months the tv stopped working. I contacted TCL to replace or refund the set and they refused even though the tv comes with a 1 year warranty. I recently bought a TV (maybe 3 months at most), and it started developing a very unpleasant problem that completely prevents me from using it.Images move, distort, and flicker incessantly. TCL acknowledged the problem via email and demanded I wait 3 weeks for a solution because it was a problem with FIRE *** partner of the brand. They offered a workaround involving pressing several buttons and unplugging it, which didn't solve the problem; on the contrary, it made the problem worse!Today, I have a $600 TV in my living room, brand new, much-desired, and I can't use it!I contacted them and requested a replacement based on Florida consumer law, but the brand simply ignored me and hasn't resolved the issue. We're now in our third week without being able to use the TV, and no solution has been provided, nor has the TV been replaced.
