Im writing to report a serious issue with LAX Transmissions. My vehicles transmission failed in early March 2025, and I was referred to them for repairs. On April 4, I approved the repair after involving my father for an estimate, and was told the car would be ready by April 18.That date passed with no update. After multiple calls, I was told there was a hole in the transmission (never mentioned before), and they now needed to replace it. I suspect this damage may have occurred under their care.Since then, *** had to initiate every follow-up. After threats of legal action, they said the transmission would be ready by May 9. I received no call that day. When I followed up, they told me the new transmission was installed, but the car still wouldnt drive and that it could be a computer issue. They promised to test it and update me by the end of the day. Its now May 17, and Ive heard nothing back despite multiple texts and ******** a full-time student, this delay has left me without transportation for nearly two months. Ive had to rely on **** daily, which has severely strained my limited ********* concerned about their lack of transparency, repeated delays, poor communication, and the possibility of mishandling the vehicle. Id like to understand whether legal action is possible and what next steps you recommend, including whether to report them to the ****************************I can provide texts, receipts, or any supporting documents you need.

Vehicle arrived in tow truck early March. Almost a month later we got the ok to start working on vehicle. Once transmission was brought down there was a very noticeable hole. We called Ms. ****** about the hole in transmission and asked if she can come by so she can see for herself. Her father came to the the shop April 23 to see it. Unfortunately only the girl at the front desk was there, and didn't know what part the father was there to see. She informed him that if he would like to wait for 10 mins he can wait for the gentlemen ****** so he can show him the issue. He didn't have time to wait. A picture was sent to him instead. He was informed that a transmission case will need to be located to rebuilt transmission as the case was no good. It is impossible for anyone to make that hole in  transmission specially the location. It is rare for a case to be damage but it does happen. Happens when a big friction happens internal in the transmission and something blows up internal hitting the case on a big impact. A week later father send a legal threat. Called Ms. ****** that if she would like she can pick up her vehicle anytime she liked as no deposit or payment was received. We were still having issues with her vehicle and determined she is also having a issue with the computer since there was no communication between her transmission and computer. We were trying to resolve her issue with the case and computer at no extra cost to her. We Did call her multiple times and left her a message to return our call. Unfortunately, her car is till not fix. As stated to her she can pick up her car as no payments were made. Ms. ****** believes we are acting in bad faith but we have not asked for any money or trying to sell her anything else. We just asked for patience so we can figure out what is wrong with her car so we can fix it at no extra cost to her.  At this point it is best she picks up her vehicle and takes it to other shop.
