    I received notice that my personal information was recently sold by Background Alert. I did not provide my personal information to this company nor did I grant ********** for any of my personal information to be disclosed, sold or otherwise. I went to the website (********************************************), attempted to request that my information be removed from their site. As a requirement to confirming my identify, I was asked to upload my driver's license. Given that this company has already violated my privacy and sold my information, it seems as though this is yet an additional scam to gain private information that they can further use and or sale that leaves me vulnerable to scammers and predators. I would like my information removed from this website.

    Background alert came up on Norton as having my personal information and that I should go to their site to remove it. I see I am not the only person concerned if requesting my photo ID by ********************** to remove my information is legitimate. I feel giving them additional information could put me more at risk. I also feel ****** should remove information for me as a customer.

    Like many others have described, I too use Norton to protect my devices, and this site was discovered selling my personal info. The site refuses to remove my data without my drivers license. I'm not comfortable sending such personal information in order to have my other personal information removed from their site; this seems extremely counterintuitive. I would like my information removed without the risk of exploiting more of my personal information. Please remove my info!

    I have attempted to opt-out of Background Alert and they are requiring a copy of my driver's license. I do not feel comfortable sharing this information online and with Background Alert. I would like my information removed from Background Alert. Please advise me on this matter.Thank you,******************

    I want my personal information removed from this website but theyre requiring that I upload my drivers license which I refuse to do. This is an outrageous scam! I dont understand how this is legal. Please remove my personal information from your website immediately.

    I asked for my personal information to be removed and they would like an ID I am not giving them a picture ID I don't think it's totally wrong what they are doing I requested to have my information removed and I would like it removed thank you

    I was notified by a security application that my information was for sale and linked me to BackgroundAlert.com to request removal of my information. Since I never authorized the sale of my personal information I refuse to provide them a copy of my identification for verification purposes. Ive read other complaints regarding the same situation. How is this legal?!

    They have requested that I send them a copy of my drivers license in order to have my personal information removed from their site! This will not be happening and they need to remove any information that they have about me from their site immediately!

    This company needs to remove my information. I tried to opt out of their site to remove my information. However, it asks me for my Government ID. I DO NOT WANT TO POST MY FEDERAL ID to anyone; let alone a website that generates revenue by selling my personal information. The Opt-Out option is another scam to get more information about myself. Please REMOVE MY INFORMATION FROM YOUR SITE.
