    Backgroundalert.com has my data without my permission. I tried to opt out on their website, but they require me to upload an ID in order to remove myself from their website. It will only INCREASE my risk of potential fraud and ID theft of my personal information, by providing them MORE information about myself. I want my names and any other information pertaining to me to be removed from their database without providing an ID or any additional personal and private information.

    Today I tried to opt out on www.backgroundalert.com. I do not want my information used or shared on their website. They require me to send a copy of my license or other ID to them so they can verify me. I am not at all comfortable sending my personal documents to them and I do not think this is a safe thing to do. I do not want my personal information displayed on their website and I would like for them to remove it.

    Background Alert has aggregated personal data about me and made it available to the users of its website. If they had a simple opt out process, I wouldn't be here. Instead, they try and force you to upload, fax, or mail a copy of your ID to them, as if that doesn't put your private information at even MORE risk than their awful website does. I should NOT have to send a company capitalizing off of the US' lax privacy laws, my personal information in order to opt out of having a profile I never asked for to be hosted on their site.

    My personal information has been displayed by Background Alert without my permission. I went to the website to opt out of having my personal information displayed on the web by this site. In filling out the form to opt out of this website, Background Alert states that:"ID is required You will be asked to provide proof of your identity before we can complete your request.Takes 5 days Although we will try to process your request as fast as possible, this process can take up to 5 business days once you have submitted all the required information and documentation." I should not have to provide identification to this website that is already displaying my personal information without my permission just to opt out of this website. Providing Background Alert with a copy of my identification would just give this site more of my personal information that they should not have. Please help me opt out of having my information displayed on this site without having to provide them with more of my personal information.

    I have the same complaint as everyone else - my personal information is on this site and I want it removed. To opt out, the website is requiring me to upload my ID which should not be necessary and in fact puts me at further risk. This company is putting my life at risk due to Selling my personal information and I have an order of protection against a party and now theyll be be able to get my personal information. Without my consent!

    Background Alert requires a user to send in identification to remove personal information from their website which was never authorized to be put there in the first place and could put more personal information at risk.
