06/17/2025 I took my car in to be inspected by AAMCO and was highly disappointed. Not only could they not provide me with a cost rundown for repair but they left my car a complete mess. Broken items scattered across the car like eggs in bushes during Easter. Water soaked into the passenger seat as well as in the middle by e-brake. I just wanted some help with my car but instead was grossly disrespected by this establishment. I took my car elsewhere and was quoted $300 cheaper than here. Not that it matters since the cost of detailing my car and replacing the broken items is going to be just as much. All l ask for is respect and accountability and unfortunately you won't find those here. I had to leave with my car more damaged than when I dropped it off

I brought my car in as my transmission was grinding quite hard when I started it up cold. I do some mechanic work myself so I was able to diagnose it as the transmission, given that a) it had barely any fluid in it, b) there was a bolt and chunk of metal missing from the case, and c) there was severe metal flakes in the fluid left that I drained. I gave my AAMCO all the evidence and photo and video footage with the grinding, metal flakes, and the chunk missing from the transmission case. They took my car and repaired it and claimed my transmission was fine and that the real issue was the coupling between the transmission and the engine. Next I know, once I get my car back they tell me it was the axles between the transmission to the wheels that they replaced. They were adamant that my front suspension was completely blown and that's what was causing the grinding, which anyone who knows a thing about cars know that is ridiculous. My steering wheel electronics and airbag, since I got the car back, are non-operational. The grinding has continued after I got my car back. They charged me for "premium front struts" for $245 a piece, even though they replaced the CV axles, which are by no means that expensive (and the two CV axles are two different kinds of parts. How would they both be the same price?). I was also charged the labor rate for what is required for front struts, not for replacing CV axles. I asked for my old CV axles and I got them, and they're by no means in bad condition. I got a repair I didn't need. I spoke to them about all of the preceding info and they admitted they quoted me the wrong part and just scratched it out on my invoice order but didn't refund me anything. They deny any wrongdoing, and wanted me to give my car back to them so they can try to quote me on some repair I didn't need. I'm feeling very deceived and this has a bad look on AAMCO. I feel as if my entire encounter with them was a sales pitch rather than mechanics looking to fix my car.
