1 starI used Legal Zoom in 2022 to open an ************* which was dissolved and have been charged for a registered agent that is NON-Existent, the address provided for this so called agent was some random communication business that has no links to being a registered agent. I have been charged for these registered agent fees since 2022 of $299 three times and now as of 9/7/25 it was $499 and the business is already dissolved. Legal Zoom is a fraudulent company working shady business deals. Check out your credit card statements regularly, as I am now disputing this with my credit card company and changing the account number to prevent them from getting my new card information, which they mysteriously got when I just ordered a new card three months ago! Never use this service again, go to a local lawyer or an accountant to get set up!Review fromZach K

1 starThis is specifically concerning their registered agent process. They make themselves your registered agent when you form an LLC with them explaining how you need one and they sell you fear. They never inform you that you can be your own registered agent for free. They then set this process up on auto-renewal but you better hope your auto-renewal date doesnt fall on a weekend, because they arent open to process your cancellation. This is just another company milking every dollar they can out of people.

1 starLegal Zoom FAILED to register my trademark 2 times and their lawyer they reffered to me allowed it to happen not only 1 time but 2 times. I called to get help and "********" who failed to give us her last name on legal zoom's phone services, did not even listen to my concerns and told me there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she kept telling me I couldn't. I have paid $1,000's of dollars and they have all been wasted. Not to mention that we started this process in 2021 and NOW i am being notified that it never was registered and it is now permanetly abandoned. The lawyer I worked with is named "**** *********- Trademark Attorney." Don't work with him and best wishes if you do!LegalZoom

1 starI used this company to create a living Trust in 2022. I wanted to amend a part of the Trust I created in2022. I wanted to amend some of the bank information. This all started on August 15 2025. LegalZoom automatically sign you up for a 14 day trail period. After the 14 days you are charged some kind of extended service for $25.00 a month. I contacted LegalZoom a few days before the expiration of the trail period to advise I did not want any additional service. I did a chat with a *** name ***** she assured me I would not be charges for that additional service. this was on August 26, 2022. I was still in the 14 day trail period and my c- card was charged anyway. please be carful with these guys. I hope i never have to make any more amendments. I had to unrecommend them to a friend. and now I have to dispute the charge through by ****.LegalZoom

1 starI would give them 0 stars if I can. The person filing my LLC spelled the name of my LLC wrong and then when I wanted to change the name to what I had initially told them it should be, demanded $60 from me for an amendment. They also charged me $200 for another filing which I never authorized them to do for me.When I called them, I was constantly talked down by every single **** and sales person for not having the biggest package. In fact, one rep pretty much told me that since I wasn't on the highest tier, they can't put too much focus on my file (I only wanted the name I told them I wanted).They are really nice and friendly when you're a new customer but once you're in the door, they are a bunch of condescending, demeaning ****** and the most useless customer support I've seen.Avoid and find another service offering Registered Agents. The prices are exorbitant.LegalZoom

1 starI used legal zoom to do a quick deed transfer and they sent it over to godeeds. This has by far been the worst experience godeeds ignores calls and emails, and legal zoom says theres nothing they can do.I called godeeds ten times with no return call, I finally emailed and got a few replies and now its been another 12 days with three unanswered emails. Its been almost two months of zero communication, I could have went and done this myself for a lot less stress, thats why I went with them because I live about 2 hours away from the land Im getting, so I didnt want to have to drive down and spend a day going and filing stuff, but now Ive spent much longer being ignoredLegalZoom

1 starI closed a business in 2021 and they won't let me close my account with them. I have called the Secretary of State and the ********************* and closed everything myself but LegalZoom tells me that I need to spend $700+ to have them close out my accounts... but there's nothing to close! And they've been billing me $300/year since 2021 for nothing. Infuriating; I will sort it out but would strongly discourage doing business with them!LegalZoom

1 stari have canceled and switched my business to another company and for last two years are still being charged by Legal Zoom for a service which i do not require from them, I provided all the documentation they asked for and still was charged. **************** is far below par and legal action has been started against this company, I was notified of the charges until i was checking my bank statement as they slid the charge in and after speaking with customer service, all they could say they cant help me in any way. Don't fall for the trap.LegalZoom

1 starI signed up online with Legal Zoom to start up a new small business in ******* at the beginning of July 2024. It took several phone calls to finally get the them to complete the process. The business was finally established on 23rd August 2025. This was the only service I required from Legal Zoom, as I had experience setting up a business in the past and filed all required forms directly once established. I did not expect Legal Zoom to complete any further filings on my behalf, I'm not sure how they could continue to file anything, as they do not have access to my own filings or my business information. I called them today and an ***** told me I was qualified for a refund, but he had to transfer me to another ***** who he said was process the refund. This second ***** told me that I didn't quailify for the refund for the filing I did not request, as I had a subscription. I told him I only signed up for the initial filing forms to be handled by Legal Zoom, I had already emailed them previously to advise I personally had already submitted all required forms myself. I received an email request from Legal Zoom today requesting my feedback on my call today. I provided my complaint to them but have yet to receive a response. Legal Zoom's business practices were not satisfactory to me.LegalZoom
