I purchase a Kingsdown Mattress from Sit n Sleep on 6/24/2022 and delivered on July 2. 14 months later (August 2023) the mattress started to sag on both sides and formed a hump down the middle of the mattress (very uncomfortable to sleep). Called **************** (CS) and told them of the problem. They sent an Inspector to the house to inspect the mattress. His comment upon seeing the box spring and mattress was it looks like new. He did his inspection and said we could contact CS to get the results. Prior to the inspection, my wife received a call from CS and the lady she talked with said if the inspection report shows a defect, they would either replace the mattress or refund our money. The Inspection Report said the mattress is defective. CS refuses to refund our purchase price and conviently CS can't find who told my wife about the refund.. They will only replace the defective mattress. If we choose a lesser priced mattress they MAY refund the difference. I am afraid if we replace the mattress we will have the same problem down stream. I want a refund of the purchase price. My dealing with Sit n Sleep has left a bad tast in my mouth and I now don't trust them. I need your help to resolve this issue. We have approval to replace a defective mattress for ************, under warranty. Per the manufactures guidelines, we can offer only a replacement for the defective mattress as we do not offer refunds. We did offer the opportunity to allow the customer to select a mattress of lesser value so we may refund the price difference as a way to compromise with him. We do understand the hesitation to trust our company based on the experience but we are standing by our obligations under the warranty guidelines. I am rejecting this response because: SnS sold us a defective mattress as verified by their own inspection & further substanciated by a Proffessional Mattress Salesman stateing that the ridge in the mattress was caused by standing or storeing the mattress on its side for a long period of time causing the weight of the mattress on itself, causing the ridge. The lady (*****?) that called my wife & told her they would write us a check & refund our money, in full, if the inspection found the mattress defective & they claim it was someone from the ****************** who called (I would put nothing passed SnS company). It was like pulling teeth to have SnS finally offer a lower priced mattress & refund the difference (this should have been one of the first things they offererd). SnS is a very big company & they take advantage of it's customers. They are the worst company we have ever done business with in over 63 years. They just want to push another problem under the rug & loose another customer.Thank you,

After reviewing account details, I see we did process a warranty claim for this mattress, however, we did not receive an approval for replacement as there are stains on the mattress, which void the warranty. I bought a bed for my mom before we used it within 4 days we asked then we want to exchange it and we went to the store and had to take my 84 disabled mom so she can pick an alternative but they didnt help at all and told us that she must use it for 30 days before she can decide its not comfortable. We went back home she tried it and still when she recliners it she slips and her feet stick out of the bed more than 18 inches even if we recliner it from both sides more over she fell down . We offer a 120 night sleep trial - the customer's trial period is available until September 13th. I do see notes she requested the exchange before the 30 day required waiting period but don't have any other indication she attempted to exchange again after the 30 days. We are able to offer an exchange - in order to take advantage of your comfort exchange, the customer must visit any ********************** location to select a replacement and complete the transaction. I am rejecting this response because:I visited the store before quite some time they accepted to exchange the mattress for a another one with a higher price but its has to be the same size of the original one and that they will not agree to exchange the base (which is almost three times the price of the original mattress) so there was no use of exchanging the mattress if the base is not exchanged as well .
My mom is 86 and totally disabled so we couldnt wait longer so we had to buy her a bed from another source.
I heard from BBB only last week so at this point and since we bought another bed we wish to return and get back our money .

I purchased a mattress in the amount of $1782.92 on 3/11 /2015. I also purchased an adjustable base along with some other items. My total bill was $4171.80.About a month ago, my bed started sinking in, and I went to sit and sleep with all intentions of purchasing a new mattress. The sales person looked up my invoice and told me that my mattress was still under warranty and they would send someone out to take a look at it. The gentleman that came out told me my information would be uploaded in the computer and to call in about three days. When I called the woman on the phone told me that my mattress was defective, but that it had a stain on it so that I did not qualify for a credit I am attaching the picture that the gentleman took and the picture that I took. If you expand both of the pictures you can see gray shadows on both pictures they are not stains and if the gray shadows that I see are stains than the fabric and the whole mattress is defective. I feel like because I am coming to the end of my warranty. I am being given the runaround. I have sent an email to the corporate office as well as to customer service that I disagree with the report that they sent me and I have received no response. I am not asking for a refund. I am just asking for credit to purchase a new mattress at sit and sleep and for my warranty on my defective mattress to be honored.Business Response

Sit 'n Sleep does not make the decision to approve or deny a warranty claim, the decision is based on the outcome of the inspection report and the warranty guidelines set forth by the manufacturer. Our records indicate she spoke to a representative on 03/24 who recommended she contact ******* of the mattress protector who can come out to clean the mattress. The customer was not happy and disconnected the call. We did not hear back again. We always try to offer options after a claim is denied, when possible. If the guest is not willing to have the mattress professionally cleaned by the mattress pad company, we can reach out to the manufacturer to request consideration for an exception. If ******* does not approve the claim, the warranty is null/void because of the stain. I am rejecting this response because: the mattress was purchased at Sit and sleep, not purchased through the manufacturer. It has a warranty. They cannot resell the mattress, and should honor the the warranty on products they sell. It doesnt make sense for them to tell me to get the mattress clean and they will look at it again. What is the difference? The mattress is defective.

I purchased a mattress from Sit n Sleep on Hammer Street in the ************* in 2019. When we purchased the mattress we were told that the mattress had a 10 year warranty and even sold us a cover for the mattress. Cause we were told if there were and stains or tears the warranty would be voided. Three years later and the mattress is sinking on the on sides. I called Sit n Sleep and was told that the mattress is out of warranty and they have no idea why their employee told me that the mattress had a 10 year warranty. The mattress was about $1200.00. Our records indicate the customer purchased a closeout model which only carries a 3-year warranty. Original retail price of the mattress purchased was $3399.99 but customer's closeout price was $1700- which is the main reason it does not carry a full manufacturer's 10 year warranty. Although warranty period expired in June of 2019, we reached out to the customer after receiving a bad Yelp review in April of 2023 to offer to file a warranty claim. We would like to set up an inspection by a third party to determine if the mattress is defective. If defective, we can offer a replacement. We bought a mattress on 2/26/23. The salesman was very nice. On March 8th a called to let the salesman know that I was not happy with my mattress. Its too hard for me and Im having back pain. The mattress that was purchased is eligible for a 365-day comfort trial. We recommend and encourage all of our customers to give it as much time as possible to break in (normally require at least 30 days before we can exchange, per the policy terms) as it is common for the mattress to take some time to become accustomed to & to break in. Customer spoke to one of our customer service representatives on 03/09, who explained we can approve an early exchange and there is no restocking fee to exchange. The only reason the customer would have to pay more money is if they are exchanging to a more expensive mattress. We do not offer returns/refunds. I bought a mattress from Sit & Sleep about 10 years ago which came with 10 years warranty. The mattress gradually started loosing firmness on the right side and the left side. We did rotate the mattress at least twice/year. I called Sit & Sleep and filed a claim and they sent an inspector to look at the mattress. a couple of weeks later I called back to check on the status of the claim and was told that the claim was denied because there was a stain on the mattress. This does not make sense at all. what does a stain have to do with the mattress loosing firmness. This is like taking your car to the dealer for a mechanical problem under warranty and they tell you warranty doesn't work because your car seats are dirty.Business Response

Thank you for your email. I understand how upsetting it can be to receive the results of your inspection.
You will find that all mattress manufacturers will void a warranty if there is a stain. Their warranty coverage card recommends that you protect your mattress against liquid stains or moisture in order to protect the durability of the mattress and your warranty.
Mattresses are made of upholstery and foams which do start to break down faster if they are not protected from moisture or liquid.
This is a manufacturer's warranty so we, the retailer, can not make the decision to approve your claim. We did send your inspection report to the manufacturer for re-consideration; however, they did not approve a replacement given the age of the mattress and the fact that it is stained.
As an alternative, we, Sit 'n Sleep, would still like to offer you a partial return credit OR a discount on the purchase of a new mattress (whichever is greater)

On 3/19/22 I purchased a Cloudtech Stratus medium Eurotop mattress for Sit n Sleep in Redlands, Ca. Sales person was *************************. Total price for the mattress, ************* support, and mattress was *******. Order #*********. By July of 2022 there was a problem with the mattress, like the support had given way, and you were sleeping in a hole. Mattress has a 10 yr. warranty. Contacted Sit n Sleep and was told I had to go thru the warranty company. ( Dreamcloud ) Contacted them and an inspection was set up on 7/16/22 thru Precise Mattress Inspections. Inspecting Tech *************************** came to my home and did his inspection. I asked for his supervisor's name and phone. Name - *************************, **************. ************ stated the the impressions were within normal parameters. I ask him to sit on the bed so he would witness the problem. His statement was, "He is not permitted to sit on the bed" He took pictures of the mattress, a a 1/4 in. dirt spot that was caused by my dog jumping up on the mattress while he was there. Received a letter from Sit n Sleep dated 7/20/22 denying the claim for the following reasons. 1. Mattress body impressions measured within normal warranty parameters. 2 Product stained of soiled. As I stated above, if the inspection tech would have sat of laid on the mattress, the defect would have been obvious. My dog jumped on the mattress when the tech was in the room, noticed the small piece of dirt that was on one of her paws. Brushing it off the mattress, you can hardly see the ***** Repeated attempts to contact Sit n Sleep customer service by emails have resulted in negative results. They want pictures of the mattress, sales receipt, . They have all this info from the inspection, and the store where it was purchased. The problem with this mattress has gone on long enough. It is now turning into a medical issue. Sit n Sleep can replace the mattress with a new mattress, or provide a full purchase price refund.Business Response

We are attaching a copy of the inspection report that took place in July along with a copy of the warranty coverage and requirements. Based on inspection results, the mattress is likely not performing and supporting the customer as intended because it is not properly supported. The mattress is sitting on a bunky board and a standard metal frame. Bunky boards are intended for use with bunk beds or slatted platform beds only. The type of metal frame support the customer has, must be used with a standard foundation. We can offer to exchange the bunky board to a low profile foundation that will provide better support for the mattress. This should help improve the mattress performance. If this does not help to correct the mattress performance, we can inspect the set again to see if the mattress impressions have worsened.

************************; I am rejecting the response from Sit n Sleep. When I purchased the mattress, the sales person was told and knew that I had a metal frame. Why would he have sold the mattress with a bunky board support that would cause the mattress to fail? Because he wanted the sale. The mattress has failed the support along with the bunky board. Sit n Sleep can only correct this problem which has now developed into a medical problem/issue to my satisfaction by replacing the bunky board with a 5" low profile support, and a new mattress. If Sit n Sleep does not correct this issue by what I have requested since it was error in selling me something that was going to fail, I should have no problem taking legal action.Business Response

I purchased the PureCare Omniguard Advance Total Encasement Mattress Protector and PureCare Mattress Protection Tencel 5-sided Protector from Sit 'n Sleep in *********** on 12/26/22. The product was advertised as follows:1) "Will not change the comfort of your mattress"2) "Breathable and Lightweight". "that allows air to flow through the moisture barrier".Upon delivery and installation by Sit 'n Sleep, the two above assertions proved untrue and false. Specifically:1) The protectors completely changed the comfort of the mattress. Instead of feeling a cushy cotton pillowtop, we were instead presented with a stiff and non-flexible plastic polyester feel under our sheets.2) The protectors did not breath or allow air to flow through, instead it captured air pockets that rippled currents of air as we got into and out of bed.We have been unable to obtain replacement products (in case of manufacture defect) or refund from PureCare or Sit 'n Sleep. We have called repeatedly and left messages for **** but now he is not returning our calls. We talked to him prior to that about the issues with the mattress. It has indentations, is uneven and dirty we sent him numerous pictures that showed how bad the problems are with this mattress. We also found out the width is 4" shorter than a standard king so the mattress does not fit the box springs we bought from them. We picked out a new mattress a couple weeks ago to replace this one but have heard nothing. We were initially told by ******* that it was the last one of that series and was a floor model. He also told us that we didn't like the mattress we could exchange it within 90 days.
There is no manager at the store so no one will take responsibility or return our calls. We believe we have been misled and taken advantage of because we are seniors. We want the mattress exchanged for the one we selected at the same price.Business Response

The sit n sleep we had the problem with was in Florida. We received a text after the complaint which told us to go to the store and pick out a new mattress which we did. The matter is resolved.
