    On 12/04/22 my rear windshield cracked completely W/no external impact. I filed a claim w/my insurance & it was a $500 dollar deductible & they scheduled the service for today 12/05/22 to have it replaced. However, on 12/04/22 when I researched if this was a common issue due to safety reasons since I had my kid in the car when it happened; I came across several forums & complaints about the vehicle that I have Acura RDX 2020 and the rear windshield shattering with no external impact. There was even a video on YouTube showing a man just sitting in his 2020 Acura RDX & out of no where his windshield cracked. Upon further investigation, I came across a service bulletin from acura which is bulletin #22-014. It stated that the issue is a rear windshield breaking w/no external impact & that the possible cause is incorrect specification for the rear defroster grid. Which makes absolute sense since I had my rear defroster on. I then called Acura service this morning on 12/05/22 before my insurance windshield repair company came out to my home to fix my windshield and I spoke with ****** ******. I told him what the issue was and stated that my car wouldnt be covered since its not under normal warranty. I had informed him that I had extended warranty as well. ****** stated that I needed to email him pictures which I did, the VIN and mileage and I did that. He was aware that my repair company was coming out between 12-4pm and then decided to call me at 350 pm to tell me that he got the approval for the windshield repair. I informed him that he knew I needed answer earlier and that I would like a reimbursement on my deductible since ultimately it was approved by supposedly the extended warranty according to ******. He told me to call acura relations for reimbursement and acura relations is giving me the run around without getting me the proper information to obtain a reimbursement for my $500 deductible THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PAY SINCE THIS IS A MANUFACTURE ISSUE!!!

    EVERYTIME I TAKE MY VEHICLE TO GET SERVICED THEY OVER CHARGE. they mechanics are not knowledgeable of their job. they have inaccurate findings when it comes to my cars maintenance. and provide me false information that my car needs to be fixed. I've lost all confidence in the service reps in Fresno Acura location. if I could go elsewhere I would. they seriously don't care about the customers warranty or not.
