I bought a home in the Grove 3 neighborhood in clovis in July of 2019. I paid to upgrade my flooring prior to the house being built. Within 30 days of moving in we had requested that our cracked and chipped floor tiles and shower tile be repaired. We were told that our concerns would be taken care of at the end of the 12 month warranty period, so we didn't worry about it too much. Before the warranty period was completed Covid-19 hit. We were told there was no work being done due to the pandemic. We were promised that Builder's Flooring would be in contact and would arrange to make the necessary repairs once the pandemic eased up. At approximately our two year point, or some time shortly thereafter, Builder's Flooring contacted us and came out to repair the problems. When they arrived they were unprepared and informed us that they no longer had our tiles in stock. We reluctantly offered our reserve tiles that were provided at the time, knowing that we would need them if we ever cracked a tile accidentally. We also allowed them to attempt to apply a resin filler to some chips in the tiles because we were trying to be reasonable. Builder's flooring made another appointment and came out and grinded out the cracked tiles and did a terrible job repairing the cracked tiles with our very limited stock. The tiles were uneven and not spaced evenly, one side was higher than the other on some sections, and the filler was very noticeable. Ultimately they used our stock up and did a terrible job. Today they responded to an email after we tried to settle the matter financially with this “There is no more negotiating to be done nor will the Builder be responsible for any repairs should the tile you chose become unavailable because of the delay you have caused in settling this matter.”
