I placed the order July 25th and was told August 24th they sent the static window tint and never did according to *** Tracking. At this point all I want is a refund for my money.Initial Complaint

Appointment date: April 9th.Reasons for refund: There are a lot of reasons for this refund request and I want you to understand it from a customer perspective. I got my windows tinted at Jet Black, at ************************************. First of all, when I got into my car I noticed right away that the tints were purple. normally a tint turns purple after a few months or years if it's a very cheap quality, but in this case, the tint was so cheaply dyed and was purple right away. this is ridiculous. Also, it had a lot of bubbles. So I waited a few weeks, even months for the bubbles to go away, but no, there were lots of bubbles, imperfections, and poorly cut edges. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE! When I asked for a refund at the location I provided above, the manager at the location started coming up with excuses and lies. he refused to give me a refund. When I first took my car at this location, this guy (the manager) told me that It would be done in 4-5 hours. IT TOOK HIM 8+ hours to get it done. Also, there were footprints on the back side of my front seats(probably while installing the back windshield tint), but he didn't even wipe them down. I can not trust this company and the shop with my car to get my window tints redone!. Again this is terrible customer service. I felt very disrespected both times, when I first got there, and the second time when I requested a refund. This is terrible service and terrible customer service. I felt and wanted to write 1-star reviews for both the shop and the company. Thank you for understanding! They charged me $490Initial Complaint

My ************ Shield glass was damaged and I got Replaced by Jet black shop in ***** on 20th June 2024 After replacing , I didn't noticed until They found that whoever has replaced the Glass have damaged the sensor which behind the glass . So It is part of glass replacement required to be checked. Jet Black messed up the Sensor during installation. As I wanted to fix the heating issue, I got Tesla to fix the bad sensor which was damaged during glass installation. I paid 223.00$ to Tesla to fix it. I went to Jet Black in ***** and asked them to re-imburse me 223.00$ . The owner refused to re-imburse . I would request BBB to take a note and help to get me reimbursement from Jet Black ***** as it was their fault. They damaged sensor during glass replacement.Initial Complaint

I had my car windows tinted at Jet Black ******* location on January 27, 2024 in the amount of $300. They messed up all my windows. They put the tints on wrong. They didnt do my back window right with the defrosters. Spots and bubbles were all over my windows and I had to get tints redone. I had to go to Jet Black - ***** location to get tints redone on all windows and now the defrosters are off on my back window. It looks bad now, pieces of the defrosters were removed when they redid the tint. Now my defrosters are spotted here and there on the back window. Guy at Jet Black ***** location informed me that I can get back window replaced and get tint for free. But I do not have the money to get my window replaced. But my back window looks horrible. I paid too much money for my window to look like this. I could have went to any tint shop but I chose Jet Black. I need some kind of resolution to resolve this issue.Initial Complaint

On 4/28/24 I went here to have my back window tinted after having it replaced the day before. They tinted the window but in the process they damage my defrost cable, not only did they damage it they tryed to super glue the cable to the glass so i wouldn't notice. The manager said they didn't do it. He continued to lie by saying he has proof. I told him the window was replaced yesterday and showed a receipt for service. The manager refused responsibility, ****** to speak to the owner he said he was the Owner. He asked me if he can see it again, He snaps a picture of it and says he will be back. After waiting 45 mins, he comes back with and employees phone saying look at this picture. I knew it was the picture he just took. So i say, Give me a business card with your name. The manager and employee both looked at me and walked back into the building. I was completely shocked to be treated like this after being a repeat customer, That manager should be ashamed of himself, that was the most disrespectful and unprofessional situation I've ever experienced with a business. I Feel like the managers unprofessional attitude and unwillingness to accept responsibility for what they did was 100% Racially motivated. The Owner reached out, implying that the situation wasn't racial. To me thats complete B.S, All that concern and kind words only to try and deceive and manipulate me. I received a call 2 days after from the same person who claimed to be the Owner but I suspect is the Manager, The same man that disrespected me. They ask to fix it. We book the appointment 5/4/24. I show up to my appointment, I go in the office, He takes my key and says hold on I need you to sign this. Basically its a contract, Saying if they agree to fix it, I have to agree to not persue them in anyway and take down my Yelp review. I declined and stated, Fix it first and I'll think about signing it. He says if we fix it, I wont give your keys back until you sign. I say but you damaged my vehicle. At this point i realize these people are not going to do the right thing. A customer walked in as we're talking, So the man says I'm going to make a call have a seat ill be right back, Then proceeded to help the customer whlie I'm waiting and been waiting for over a hour now. Do i need to say what the other customer was? Their whole interaction was pleasant, The total opposite of what I've been receiving. He comes back and asked me to speak with someone on the phone. I take the call and they proceed to try and manipulate me to sign the papers. I declined again and gave the man is phone back, Got my key that he threatened to keep after his cohorsion and con-man tactics were failing and I left.Initial Complaint

I brought my car in for a tint with my family and they said that it would only be a few hours, but later when I called, they stated that they would need it overnight, which I was very skeptical about because I never heard that they would need a vehicle overnight for tinting. I get there the next day, and my vehicle is damaged in the front with a very deep chip that it was obvious was made by a tool. They denied that they damaged my vehicle and said that it was there when I got there, which is a complete lie because my car is brand new. I made many complaints online and they were trying to delete my reviews. Every time I call the tinting location they hang up as soon as they hear my voice and they had a very rude person named ***** called me as a president of the company telling me that my reviews were illegal and it was a rock chip when I told him that I know the difference between a rock chip and a deep scratch like the one that I have, he said that they were going to do an investigation that would last four days and this was all last week on Monday and here we are well over a week later, and they have not contacted me, I have been blowing up their number and none of them answer. *** called on other phone numbers and they immediately hang up as soon as I answer. I dont wanna have to go in person to confront them, but at this point, I think thats all Im gonna have to do. Please help me with this issue. I have no idea what to do. I already filed the report with my insurance, but Im gonna have to pay the $1000 deductible out-of-pocket.Initial Complaint

I went in to the Walnut Creek shop to inquire about their $99 special. I asked what windows I could get tinted on my Van for $99. they responded that they would not tint even one window on my vehicle for $99 but instead it would cost me $500 to have my windows tinted. This company offers a lifetime warranty on the product and installation so I paid the $500 up front They say dit would take several hours so I left the shop. when I returned they were still working on it and I walked out to inspect it an found the work was very poor. There is debris under the tint film and poorly cut/fit tint around many of the edges. Since they already had my money there was not much I could do. the employee who took my money told me they would not warranty the work. At that time the tint was still wet and needs several; days to dry. I assumed it would look better once it ha dried but it did not. In fact it looks worse as it is now peeling at many edges. Im unhappy with the service of this company baiting the customer with prices they wont honor a then doing poor work that they will not warranty. I reached out to the company and received a response from a receptionist who told me she couldn't do anything for me .Initial Complaint

From: ******************************* Sent: Monday, February 12, 2024 12:13 PM To: ********** Subject: Complaint for jet black tint Complaint against Jet black tint:On January 19th ***** my 2015 ******** **** c300 was taken to Jet Black tint at ********************************** in ******* **. the manager at the time was upset because he had to fix our tint that had peeled off. Upon arrival my boyfriend seen the key on the hood of the car. When the car was ready they had already started the car so he did not check to see if the key was still on top of the hood. In addition the worker turned off the signal to our car when the key is not being detected. When my boyfriend realized the key was not in the car he did call. The manager stated he put it in the car. January 20 ***** we went to jet black and the manager at the time called out. We asked for the cameras to be ran back so we can figure out what happened to my key. Jet black tint was not willing to do that . Tuesday January 23 I went to jet black tint and was told the manager transferred stores and the new manager would be in Friday. Monday went back to jet black and they told us that they will run the cameras and began to have us go in circle. Jet black tint never ran the cameras and they did not want to pay for the new key of $2099. I got a quote of how much my key will cost for jet black tint and they still did not take any actions. Pre set appointment, service will take about an hour. Three hours not done , no office personnel on site, called customer service line to request cancellation of job, said need to talk to on site manager, not onsite. Called service line again was told they cant help me. Cannot get access to my vehicle to leave and rectify later.
