I purchased a Kingston KF560C40BBK2-32 RAM kit that has caused ongoing issues, including random system crashes and data loss, despite being replaced once under warranty. After extensive troubleshooting and replacing it with a Corsair RAM kit of similar specifications, I confirmed the problem is isolated to the Kingston product. On January 2, 2025, I submitted a service request (********) for a refund. Kingston initially responded by stating they would honor the refund request (per email from ***** ******, Kingston Technical Support, on January 3, 2025). They provided a prepaid label, and I promptly returned the defective RAM, which Kingston received on or around January 7, 2025.Since then, I have repeatedly followed up regarding the refund status but have not received a resolution or meaningful updates. The lack of communication, failure to fulfill the promised refund, and the inconvenience caused by their defective product are unacceptable.I request the following resolution:Immediate processing of the promised refund for the returned RAM.Clear communication and acknowledgment of my concerns going forward.Kingstons handling of this matter has been frustrating and unprofessional, and I would appreciate the BBBs assistance in ensuring its prompt resolution.Relevant Information:Service Request Number: ******** Product: Kingston KF560C40BBK2-32 RAM kit Date of Initial Request: January 2, 2025 I look forward to hearing from Kingston to resolve this matter. Please contact me by email at *******************

We apologize for any delayed response. Once the defective product is returned, it goes through a refund process which involves our accounting department. A refund check is issued and mailed out. We are just waiting on our accounting team to finalize their process and mail out the check. Once we have additional information, we will update you.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Purchased a NEW m2 NVME 1Terabyte Hard Drive from a Human Being in February 2023 and opened the package, installed my Hard Drive I had just purchased into my machine it worked for 3 weeks and then went dead.I contacted Kingston Technology to request an RMA On a Faulty Unit, and they informed me that because I purchased the Hard Drive BRAND NEW from another Human Being rather then a COMPANY they would not cover the Warranty on their Product. Is Buying and selling NEW Items not basic Business practice that occurs every day in trading ?One Business or Individual sells an item to another Business or Individual and that is how the chain of events go ?

Our customer was originally informed by a ******************** customer service agent the product was not covered by warranty due to being purchase from an unauthorized seller on FB Marketplace. Very often used and/or defective products are repackaged to appear new and resold online. We also see a lot of counterfeit products sold this way as well. This is why we recommend purchasing from authorized sellers. In this particular case I spoke with our customer on April 14, 2023. I added that the product he purchased was discontinued by Kingston on September 7, 2022, five months prior to his purchasing the drive. If the drive was not already discontinued, I could have reconsidered the warranty if the place of purchase was the only issue. Unfortunately, he did buy an already discontinued product and was not provided with a receipt from the seller. Before ending the call, our customer stated he understood these reasons. As a small gesture I asked if he would accept a discount code toward the purchase of another Kingston product.
