I went to insurance.com to search for rates for insurance. Shortly after I was bombarded with spam with calls and emails. Many of these calls and emails were phishing. One in particular that stands out were emails from ******************************* and ******************************* These were clearly not initiated as applications for employment had not been submitted on this end. QuinStreet does not ensure that the option to opt out is easily visible; and does not ensure that the entities they are selling customer info to is not associated with fraud.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. QuinStreet takes consumer matters seriously and we will investigate this accordingly. As part of our process, we have added the consumers phone number and/or email address to our internal Do Not Contact database. Regards, QuinStreet, Inc.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: while I appreciate my information being added to the Do Not Call list, I would like to see steps taking of making consumers BETTER aware, upfront, before they enter their information on your site that their information may be sold and they may be at risk of receiving spam/phishing calls, text, and emails. Consumers should also be made aware that each entity that their personal data will be shared with may not have been properly vetted. This information should be bold and visible, clear and concise and not something that needs to be searched for and found at the bottom of the page in small text.
Sincerely,

I am writing to formally voice my complaint against Quinstreet regarding the unjust and troubling withholding of funds owed to me as an affiliate. Throughout my time partnered with them, I have diligently adhered to their guidelines and successfully generated revenue. However, I was taken aback when they recently asserted that I failed to meet their requirements. Alarmingly, Ive noticed a pattern where my accountalong with those of other Jewish affiliateshas been closed without any prior notice, while non-Jewish affiliates seemingly continue to operate without issue. This troubling trend raises serious concerns about possible discriminatory practices at Quinstreet, hinting at an unsettling bias against Jewish affiliates.I am increasingly alarmed by the possibility that Quinstreet's refusal to release my rightful earnings may be influenced by underlying antisemitic sentiments. Therefore, I respectfully demand the immediate release of my full commissions owed, along with any necessary adjustments to address this serious issue. I believe in open, constructive dialogue and am fully prepared to discuss any concerns Quinstreet may have in hopes of arriving at a fair and just resolution. Thank you for your attention to this pressing matter.Initial Complaint

The website insurance.com appears to be a scam. When I googled car insurance, the top result was a company called insurance.com. The text in the search result says "Compare Tennessee Rates - 10 ****************** Quotes". However, when I entered my personal information, I received a phone call from an agent who wanted to connect me to ********************** When I asked about quotes from multiple sources they hung up. Furthermore, when I called the number on the insurance.com website, it connected me directly to Progressive. The website does not provide quotes from multiple companies - it appears to be a front for ***********.Initial Complaint

I am writing to formally file a complaint against Quinstreet regarding their unjust withholding of funds owed to me as an affiliate. Despite my strict adherence to their guidelines and my success in generating revenue, they falsely claim that I have not complied with their requirements.First, I have requested specific proof of any alleged violations, but they have failed to provide any. Additionally, according to our original contract, they are obligated to issue a warning before withholding funds for any alleged violation. While they did send a warning email, I have not engaged in any marketing or advertising since that warning, contrary to their claims. It is evident that their actions appear to be an attempt to unjustly retain my money.Furthermore, I believe they are demonstrating discriminatory behavior, as other affiliates from this specific minority group have faced similar treatment. Therefore, I request the immediate release of my full commissions owed, along with any necessary adjustments.I will not take NO as an answer.Initial Complaint

our payment from August, without any prior warning or opportunity for discussion, has been extremely distressing and seems unfair. We are open to discussing any concerns you may have and would appreciate the opportunity to explore whether there is a way to negotiate this situation. We hope, as fellow human beings and with respect to the efforts we have made to drive sales for all parties involved, that we can find a fair resolution.Initial Complaint

I received a phone call claiming to be insurance.com and they brokered insurance for last year for my father who has been in a state run nursing home and has had dementia for multiple years. They are either scamming people for money or someone is using my fathers identity. The phone call occurred 1/3/2025 at 4:49pm.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Quinstreet regarding the withholding of funds that they *** me as an affiliate. Despite my adherence to their guidelines and successfully generating revenue, they claim that I did not comply with their requirements. I have reached out to them multiple times to resolve this matter, but I have yet to receive a response. I am increasingly concerned that their refusal to release my funds may involve elements of antisemitism.I respectfully request your assistance in addressing this issue and ensuring that Quinstreet is held accountable for their actions. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Initial Complaint

This year I have been getting spam text from auto insurance sites, all of the websites have the phone number for insure.com. Insure.com is owned by QuinStreet. All 40 spam text messages directed to multiple websites and every site has the number to insure.com. They claim they don't own these websites but the toll free numbers all dial to insure.com, owned by QuinStreet. The TCPA protects consumers on the Nation DO NOT CALL list.Quinstreet is liable for any leads that they pay for even if it's affiliate marketing. The text message continue to get sent to my cell phone regardless of being on the *** List both the *** list and Floridas list. I verified the violations were from the large network of sites they have. Next step is litigation.Initial Complaint

Nobody answers the phone number listed on their website. The contact form on the website does not submit. We're not asking for a refund. Just cancel our account.
