I paid $1900 to replace my transmission. The day I got it back, I had issues. I took it back and he fixed it. 2 days later, I noticed a strange noise on my car. I took video, sent it to mechanic. He said he didn't hear it and he had checked the transmission and it was fine. I have continuously had same issue with my car, has gotten worst. I have taken it to other mechanics, they all say it's a transmission issue. I tell this mechanic, he says he installed a good transmission it's just me who is not happy with the transmission. I took my car last week, he asked me to bring it today, Thursday. I take it in, he says to leave it and he'll work on it whenever he has a chance. I asked for a time line. He says at least 15 days. I got 90 days warranty and it is almost over. I need my money back as I no longer trust this mechanic. I feel he will fix the transmission and break something else. As of today, mechanics say the only problem with my car is the transmission.

In the beginning of the year this client came in and needed her transmission replaced. So I proceeded to replace her transmission with a different one along with oil and filter. Few days had gone by and she called me stating that she was hearing noises that she believed were coming from the transmission that had been replaced. I explained to her that she could bring it back to the shop and I'd have it checked out. She asked how long it would take and I explained to her that it would be a few days as I had other vehicles I needed to service. As to which she did not agree with and demanded that it had to be done then and there. Finally came to an agreement that I'd check her vehicle as soon as possible.

I checked for said issues and found nothing of the sort that she was so adamant about hearing and supposedly troubleshooting.
Client would continuously call me telling me about her vehicle not being up to her standards and that she was not satisfied with the transmission.

Since the date of this complaint I had actually just replaced  ANOTHER transmission with new oil and filter once again for this client. Following my 90 day warranty in labor.
And on the 21st of March she picked up her vehicle from my shop. I personally was not in, so my shop assistant handed her the keys to her vehicle. Also in which I did charge her for the oil. She did not want to pay me, but eventually did pay in the form of a check. And when I deposited the check it actually bounced for insufficient funds.
So to say she doesn't trust me as the mechanic although I went ahead and replaced it a second time, but did not state that in her complaint is quite injust.I have also tried reaching out to her in the form of phone calls and text messages, but to no avail have been able to get ahold of this client.

How do I know that when she has taken her vehicle to other mechanics as she stated in complaint that said mechanic(s) did not tamper with the transmission I replaced?

My check did not bounce because I haven't gotten a returned check fee and I have fund. On Jan 4 at 2:36pm he sent me text saying my car was ready. On Jan 4 at 3:54pm I sent him a text saying the letter * on my dash began flashing. I have photos and videos. He did not reply. On Monday Jan 6 at 9:26am I sent him a text and a video where you can clearly hear the noise. I thought it was odd and not normal. On Tues Jan 7, I sent him a diff video, as he insisted that he could not hear anything. At this point he asked me to take the car to the shop to check both, the noise and the * that was flashing. On Fri Jan 10 at 2:06pm he said the car was ready. He said the trans was fine and he couldn't hear a thing. The flashing * was due to a sensor and he fixed it. On Monday Jan 13 at 11:45am I sent him a text assuring him that I was not my intention to bother him, but my car kept making the noise and it was getting worst. I sent him yet a different video showing him the noise I was talking about. He asked me to take it back to the shop. I took the car at 12:27pm as soon as he asked me to. On Jan 14 at 12:37pm he sent me a text telling me he had driven the car everywhere and couldn't hear anything. He told me to pick it up and take it somewhere else. I replied to his tex and then I told it that it was OK, I would take it elsewhere. He did not reply. On Jan 29 I texted him again. I told him I needed to pick my mom up at a airport in ******* ****** if it'dbe ok. He did not reply. I began driving with my sister, 15 mi into the drive the car jerked and began making even worst noises. My sister got scared and asked we go back and we ask my brother for his car, so we did. I spent over $300 with 2 diff mechanics trying to figure out what the problem was. They both said it was the transmission. On March 30th I decided to text him again and that is where he asked me to take it back. At this point my car would only change 2 gear and from there it would not run anymore.

My understanding is that you're stating once again how the transmission was replaced in the beginning of the year. You reached out and I responded back in which resulted me checking the vehicle and not finding any troubleshooting as client stated. Client was not satisfied which resulted in her bringing in vehicle once again to shop and having it checked out. Went out of her way to get second opinions from different mechanics. Some of the times I'd reach out via telephone I would not speak to client directly, but to a family member. Client would return in the month of February.

Client would once again reach out and bring in her vehicle and DEMAND that it be fixed then and there. As I stated in previous reply, the transmission had been REPLACED a SECOND TIME.

The reply you state from March 30th is from when I reached out asking why you had reported me to the BBB? Not vice versa. To which no response. I reached out after receiving the letter from the BBB.

The report to the BBB had been done on the 20th or so. You had already gotten your vehicle once again with another transmission replacement. So why not state that in your complaint and replies? I've exhausted my options at this point with this person. Following my warranty and policies in which I abide by.

I don't demand. I got my car back with a replaced trans,  which was a bad transm. The same day, I began having issues. 2 days later I began hearing the noise. I would ask him about it as I ddnt want to take my car to other mechanics.I knew he would say that another mechanic had damaged the trans. Bad trans kept getting worst bt he insisted in not hearing anything or feeling anything. Which almost made me feel that I was going crazy. When he would take the car in to check, I would agree to his terms. The one time I got upset, was when I took my car in because it wasn't shifting gears anymore. He asked me to drive it until the transmission gave out. I asked who will pay for the town truck. He said dnt drive the car then. He asked me to bring the car next week. I agreed to bring it back the following Thursday. Come next Thurs I took the car in.I sent him a text letting him know I was there with my car. He asked me to leave the car and leave my keys in the car. Then he sends me a text saying that he will work on my vehicle whenever he had a chance to do so. I asked for a timeline. He replied 15 days. I asked him, why would he ask me a week ago yo bring it back on Thurs if he wasn't going to be available.I asked if I could take my car back home and bring it back in 15 days instead. He said no. He stated that he cant hold my spot if my car is not at the shop. I did get upset as he should've said that a week ago, but he said he would fix it on Thurs. I asked for a refund to take my car elsewhere as I couldn't wait 15 more days and warranty by then would have been over. He said no. I decided to leave the car as I had no other choice. At that point, I decided to file the complaint.  As soon as I submitted the complaint, he calls and said he would start working on my car now. The next day, he called saying my car was ready but he was going to need $100 for oil. I don't know if he will try to cash the check or not.
