They told me from the beginning it would take 3-5 days to complete the project, it's now September 2023, and they never finished. I ended up doing a bunch of the finish work myself that was included in my price. I even paid them $10k cash upfront out of a total of $22k when they had only done maybe 20% of the work. After I gave them the first payment, they disappeared for 2 weeks which made me very stressed. They flaked on many days they were to work and had numerous excuses like "brakes went out, crashed the truck, family emergency, it's hot out, it's raining (when not raining), I have allergies, we stayed up all night working on another project, I had a stroke." All that is fine. But don't take people's money if you can't do the work. I did half the glaze and seal finish work myself, I helped these guys do some demo work for a few days, I painted my own patios (all which was included in the price), I stripped some of the forms myself, I helped strip the concrete after they put on the wrong sealer. The only thing I asked them to do was come back and fix the cracks in the gutter. They put some dusty power on the cracks and now I can't get that off and the gutter alone was $3k. I now regret using this company. I even went to the store and helped them load up rebar and payed for materials along the way no questions asked. I even gave them a $500 tip in cash when they complained I did not pay the company that delivers the concrete. They completely lost track of their own cost and they overran their own budget so the responsibility was on them to cover the costs outside of their quoted $22k price. I did not pay one out of the three concrete pours but ended up coving half of it anyways in the form of a tip to them but then they never finished. I want $3,500 back for the gutter plus my tip because the gutter is cracked everywhere. They did not use rebar in the gutter or cut the expansion joints to spec and did not fix the cracks, plus I had to do some of the work myself.
