    I rented a 2 bedrooms 2 baths apartment on ************************************************************** managed by Sky Asset Management. Their office is located in ******, **. When I first looked at the apartment it was a Wednesday early afternoon in April 2024. At first glance when the employee from *** showed me, I realized it was a very old building. I looked at the apartment and laundry room and parking space (not a closed garage but just tandem spaces under the building in the back). I asked the employee from Sky Asset if there were smokers and he lied to me and assured me there wouldnt be anyone smoking there or near the apartment I was viewing. Although the building was old, the apartment I saw was not that bad, so I decided to put in an application. I got approved, signed the lease ad moved in. As soon as I moved in I saw two heavy smokers that were living directly below me. They smoked day and night and the smell of smoke was so heavy and awful, it invaded my living room and both of the bedrooms in my apartment. I had to keep a heavy duty fan ventilating the living room and bedrooms at all times. I reached out to the Manager Fabi for several months, and she refused to help or do anything about and just ignored me. At that point I was about 9 months into the lease (which clearly stated no smokers in any parts of the building) signed by the owner ****. I was so exhausted with the horrible smell of smoke, I gave them the 30 days notice. I moved out it has been over a month and they violated the lease agreement so they still have not paid my deposit back. I called and never heard back. I have the signed lease agreement and I will proceed with filing a claim at the small claims court to retrieve 3 times more than the value of the deposit they owe me. That Sky Asset Management company is dishonest and their buildings are falling apart. I also have pictures of their building ceiling collapsing on top of my car in the parking area due to a water heater leakage.

    I am a tenant of 20 yrs. I have never had roaches. Never had need for an exterminator until 4/2024after the unit next to me was rented. My granddaughter has asthma I now have allergy issues and the roaches are contained in her room and adjoining bathroom. She is unable to sleep in her bedroom. This issue has been ongoing since 4/2024. My unit has been exterminated approximately 5 times. However, the unit that caused the problem was NEVER inspected or exterminated. Finally, November of this year the exterminator was finally sent to the unit. He informed that it was pretty bad he also told me that the tenant did not prep for extermination but he did the best he could. Also, informed me that my smoke detectors are alarming due to roaches in wall. **** company has since agreed to relocate me .but has refused to answer any calls and address alarming of some detectors.
