My wife, son and I lost our home in The ***** California Fire. We were recommended to **** ***** / ***** Building Solutions by neighbors the Mallchoks who have filed BBB complaint. We called **** *****, contacted his references and met personally. He stated Building Solutions would work hand in hand with architect / structural engineer fully rebuilding our home. Consequently we found out he does not hold a contractor's License or a salesperson's license. What follows is an excerpt from an email that was sent to him this morning and his response:**** ***** 11:25AM (4 hours ago)to me, ******** ******** ***** Good afternoon *****, My Previous emails ********* our May 12th, 2025, meeting, you said you wanted to terminate our relationship and said you would provide all the work that you had performed to date. Our email on May 17th, 2025, simply followed up on that conversation, and explained that we are rescinding our contracts. You should have already immediately ceased all work.Your attempt to divide the contract into parts does not make sense because that is not how you presented it to us. You repeatedly represented that you were going to serve as the general contractor and manage the entire rebuilding project under one roof. You said that you would supervise your crews working on the rebuild and that they were currently working on other projects for you. That was why you could guarantee such a low base rate of $350 per square foot. That is how you presented the agreement to us: as a whole. We relied on your representations in good faith. You are trying to rewrite the terms of the deal to avoid the legal consequences of your conduct.Your inability to deliver what you promised is what led to the May 12th, 2025, meeting. We have now learned that you do not have a contractors license, a salesperson license for home improvement contracts, or apparently any insurance. The contract is unenforceable and legally you are required to return all of our money.
