On 4/11/22 I watched an infomercial for ******************************* Meaningful Beauty line of skin care products. It advertised a special price of $49.95 + s/h and tax. I called the phone number provided and was connected to a representative. She confirmed the one-time price for a 90-day kit and said that future 90-day shipments would be billed in 3 payments of $49.95 each. I paid via credit card. I was in a physical rehabilitation facility when they arrived; my daughter brought them to me there. I used them for one week. My face broke out in acne and turned red and itchy. I discontinued use. Because my identity was stolen, I changed all my credit card #s. I received no further shipments and as I didn't want to use the products, I ignored communications stating that they were ready to ship my next 90-day supply but needed an updated credit card #. I've spent most of the last year in bed, as I broke my back. Today, I tried to resolve via phone a notice from a collection agency for a balance of $106.52, which I thought was an odd amount - an error. Meaningful Beauty has placed a "Major Derogatory" complaint with the credit bureaus and my score has decreased over 50 points! I was put through h*** on the phone. North ************ is a Collections scam: you get recorded, consecutive offers for various "deals," and no help whatsoever. I then called Meaningful Beauty's CS #. The 1st rep. told me the balance was valid because it appeared that they shipped me the 90-day supply rather than the 30-day supply. I disputed this reasoning, as I had taken copious notes when purchasing the products. She then offered to send me 3 months' supply for only two $49.95 payments, which I declined.I requested a supervisor, who also gave me the runaround. I've requested an emailed transcript of my phone call ordering the product and a call from a manager. The supervisor advised me to not expect a different response.Long story short, the informercial and phone representative dialog equates to a scam.Business Response

Our records reflect that you enrolled by phone for automatic shipments of Meaningful Beauty on April 11, 2022.
We do make every effort to be forthcoming regarding our promotions and offers for Meaningful Beauty via the website, TV infomercials, inbound sales phone line, print materials, product packaging, and billing. At the time of purchase, customers are provided the option to either begin with a 30-Day Introductory supply or a 90-Day Full-Sized supply. At the time of your initial purchase, the option to begin with a 90-Day supply was explained and agreed to. The products are also shipped with information reiterating the terms and benefits of membership, including each shipment's total cost and installment billing schedule on its invoice. We regret if it was not your intent to agree to this option, or if you found the offer to be unclear in any way.
On April 11, 2022, your first shipment (a 90-day full-sized supply) was sent for a total cost of $159.78 (including $9.93 ** Sales Tax) to be billed in 3 installments over 31-day billing cycles. The first payment of $53.26 was charged when it shipped, leaving a remaining balance of $106.52.
On May 12, 2022, we attempted to process your 2nd installment of $53.26 as scheduled, but the request for payment was declined by your financial institution. This left the remaining balance of $106.52 due and payable to Meaningful Beauty, and so balance due reminders have been sent monthly.
With no response received to our notices, on December 9, 2022, your account was cancelled.
Per your phone inquiry on January 20, 2023, you were transferred to a supervisor as you requested, and the total cost of your initial order as well as the balance remaining due for it were explained. Your request to have your sales call reviewed was submitted at this time for further research.
On January 23, 2023, we attempted to reach you by phone to follow up with your request for call review; a voicemail was left at this time, and an email was sent with direct contact information for further assistance.
Although our records do not reflect your shipment was returned, as a gesture of goodwill and in an effort to fully resolve this matter, the account balance of $106.52 has been removed. North ************ was also notified to remove your account from collections. Please consider any invoices received after the date of this correspondence to have crossed in the mail.
Your Meaningful Beauty account remains closed, and nothing further will be shipped or billed. No further billing statements will be mailed, and nothing has been reported to any credit reporting bureau.

Order # ********, $113.37 During the late summer of 2022, I purchased the original product. I thought that it was a one-time purchase. I did not know or want a subscription. It was not clear that this was a subscription. After reading other complaints, it is quite obvious that their sales tactics are purposely deceptive. I received the original product. One month later, I received the 2nd subscription product and a bill for the unwanted delivery. After a couple of conversations about canceling the unwanted order, we were told to send back the order. They did cancel the subscription. I did send back the order via ***** They continued to send us the bill after we sent back the product. During the next phone conversation, they said they did not get the returned product and asked for a tracking number. They NEVER asked for a tracking number originally. Once again, how convenient for them. I went back to **** to have them try to find the tracking number. This was unsuccessful because our local **** only keeps tracking numbers for 60 days. In summary, the subscribed product was returned. I was told the bill would be canceled. I am still being billed for $113.37 and feel that this should be cleared. I have attached a snip-it of the **** charge to my checking account on Aug. 30th when I sent back the package.Business Response

We do make every effort to be forthcoming regarding our promotions and offers for Meaningful Beauty(r) via the website, TV infomercials, inbound sales phone line, print materials, product packaging, and billing. Information regarding the terms of the online membership offer and the continuity program is provided in the shopping cart prior to any personal information being entered; these terms are bold print and in the same size font as the rest of the page. Before customers may finalize their purchase, they must check a box that states they agree to the provided terms of the purchase.
More specifically, the offer you selected states that "One month after your first order is shipped, and then every three months thereafter, you will be sent a new full-size supply of Meaningful Beauty(r). Each shipment will be charged to the card you provide today, in three monthly payments at the low price of $49.95 plus $3.99 for shipping and handling per month, unless you call to cancel. There is no commitment and no minimum to buy. All orders are subject to applicable sales tax." The products are also shipped with information reiterating the terms and benefits of membership. We regret if you found the offer unclear in any way.
On May 19, 2022, your initial order (a 30-day introductory supply) was sent for a total of $52.70 (including $2.75 ** Sales Tax) and charged to the credit card provided.
Per the terms of the offer, on June 17, 2022, your 2nd shipment (a 90-day full-sized supply) was sent for a total of $170.72 (including $11.97 s&h plus $8.90 ** Sales Tax) to be billed in 3 installments over 31-day billing cycles. The first payment of $57.35 was charged to the credit card on file when it shipped, leaving a remaining balance of $113.37.
On July 18, 2022, we attempted to process your 2nd payment of $56.69 for your 2nd shipment as scheduled, but the request was declined by your financial institution. Monthly balance due reminders have therefore been sent.
On August 29, 2022, per your phone request, your account was cancelled and information regarding the remaining balance was provided.
Per your phone inquiry on December 16, 2022, it was confirmed that your return had not been received as a return to our facilities within the 60-Day Money Back Guarantee. In order to process the credit, tracking information was requested to confirm your return at this time.

I bought some product from Meaningful beauty for my wife for Christmas. About month later they charged me again. I contacted the merchant to see why. They explained that in the fine print I had become a member. I said that I was not interested in being a member and that I did not want to be an auto ship customer. After a back and forth between us they agreed to cancel any future charges for auto ship products. They also say they're are sending a return label so that I may return the product for a refund as well as I would NEVER be charged again. The very next day I'm charged with another ******. This is the reason for the complaint! I did not authorize any of these charges, but the day after they say they're not going to charge me anymore they charge me again. This is nothing more than a hassle for the consumer to have to call the bank and dispute the charges (repeatedly) when its unwarranted. Your initial order (a 30-day introductory supply) was shipped on December 14, 2022, for a total cost of $80.39 (including $5.43 OH Sales Tax) and was charged in full to the PayPal account provided.
On January 12, 2023, per the terms of the offer, your 2nd shipment (a full-sized 90-day supply) was sent for a total of $321.56 (including $14.97 s&h and $21.74 OH sales Tax) to be billed in 3 installments over 31-day billing cycles. The 1st installment of $107.90 was charged to the PayPal account on file at this time, leaving a remaining balance of $213.66.
Please be advised that your payment is submitted to your financial institution for approval at the time when a shipment begins processing for delivery: this may not always be the same date that we charge your credit card, as the authorized payment is not finalized as a charge until the shipment is sent. Funds in the amount authorized may be held for several business days, and may not be available to you during such time. As procedures vary amongst financial institutions, you may want to check with PayPal and/or your financial institution in terms of how they handle authorizations. Typically, in any case, the amount authorized does not appear on your statement - just the amount ultimately charged.
Also on January 12, per your phone request, your account was cancelled and information was provided about the shipment already en route. This company offers a money back guarantee. I purchased a gift box for $85. A few hours later I contacted customer service and canceled the order, because I didn't want a subscription for a gift I purchased for somebody elsewhere. I was told the intial payment would be refunded upon returning the items, because it had already processed to ship. Also an additional $85 monthly for the following 2 consecutive months would be charged if kept the items. I returned their box unopened the same day it was delivered via **** 2 day priority mail. I took photos of package, label, and recept, I also have a cancelation confirmation email.
Today I opened my mailbox an have a $244 past due amount bill from Meaningful Beauty, which is absolutely ridiculous, being that all of this took place a couple of weeks before Christmas 2022.

Also on December 19th, per your Live Chat request, your account was cancelled. Information was provided regarding your order which could no longer be prevented from shipping, as well as return instructions.
On December 20, 2023, your order was shipped and the approved authorization of $80.58 was finalized as a charge, leaving a remaining balance of $161.17.
On January 2, 2023,******* reversed the 1st payment of $80.58 for your 1st shipment. While this chargeback created a credit in your favor with your financial institution, it restored the full amount of $241.75 as due and payable to Meaningful Beauty(r), and so a balance due notice was sent.

Like many other complaints on *** I am a victim of this company taking advantage of honest ******* people that fall for their predatory business practices. I am 80 years old and have always paid my bills and have always had a perfect credit rating. They sent me things that I did not order. The 1st payment of $58.06 was charged at the time of shipping to the credit card on file, leaving a remaining balance of $114.53.
On October 8, 2022, per your phone request, your account was cancelled, the remaining balance to be billed for your 2nd shipment was explained, and return instructions were provided. Per your chat request on February 15, 2022, your account was placed on hold until May 30, 2022, at which time regularly-scheduled shipments would resume. We regret to learn on reviewing this chat that your request to cancel your membership instead was not processed, and we would like to apologize for any inconvenience which resulted. We make every effort to be forthcoming regarding our promotions and offers for Meaningful Beauty(r) via the website, TV infomercials, inbound sales phone line, print materials, product packaging, and billing. At the time of purchase, customers are provided the option to begin a membership with an introductory kit (an offer which includes automatic replenishment shipments) or they may choose instead to place a one-time purchase at retail pricing.
We have reviewed your sales call to confirm that at the time of your purchase you were informed that the SAVE10 TV discount code for a $49.95 introductory kit was only available with membership, as well as to confirm that you agreed to instead place a one-time order and were quoted the correct retail price of $69.95, plus $6.99 s&h and any applicable state sales tax. We regret if you found the offer unclear in any way.
On November 28, 2022, your order was sent for a total of $82.13 (including $6.99 s&h and $5.19 OH Sales Tax) and was charged to the credit card provided.
On December 2, 2022, per your phone inquiry regarding the cost of your order, your call was transferred to a supervisor who confirmed your shipment was correctly priced. However, as a goodwill gesture, a partial refund of $21.35 was issued at that time. Please allow 3-5 business days for credit to post.

I, *********************************, ordered a product from the television commercial from meaningful beauty. They charged my account immediately and sent the product arrived August 19 it was beauty products with a moneyback guarantee. I contacted a supervisor because when I read the fine print it said you needed the invoice in the package with the ***** product bottles, if you want the money back guarantee and they would email The invoice to me. *** it might take a little longer they said they'd granted me a 90 day extensio for moneyback guarantee, I did not like the product I mailed it back getting the estimated delivery date being October 21, 2022. I just called today November 13, 2022 and they said they have not received my package. They continue to tell me that they would refund the money within 3 to 5 business days not asking any questions about my banking information. Speaking to me with no care or concern for why I was upset. Seemed like they were ready to hang up at the first chance they got in my opinion. They were very rude and unprofessional and this was when I was speaking with the supervisor named ****** who told me her employee is if number was # *****. I find the company to be untrustworthy not true to their word and also does not include important information and disclosures and when informing their consumers about how everything works kind of leaving the customer in the dark virtually without a care in their minds about them; the customer. On September 11, 2022, per your phone request, your account was cancelled.
Per your phone inquiries on October 7th and 8th, return instructions were provided. A request for a copy of your invoice to be emailed to you was also submitted at this time, and your 60-Day Money Back Guarantee was also extended to 90 days.
On October 10, 2022, a copy of your shipment's invoice was emailed to the address on file.
On November 13, 2022, per your phone inquiries regarding your return status, we regret to learn that your initial call was disconnected when trying to complete transfer to a supervisor. On your second call this date, transfer was successfully connected to a supervisor, and a refund of your order's purchase price was issued based on the tracking information you provided.
As the refund issued for your return was not accepted by the payment card on file, Refund Check #*****, in the amount of $53.26, was printed on November 17, 2022, and has been mailed to the billing address on file for your account. On February 8, 2022, your first shipment (a 30-day introductory supply) was sent for a total of $52.95 (including $3.00 MD Sales Tax) and billed in full to the credit card provided.
Per the terms of the offer, on March 11, 2021, your 2nd shipment (a 90-day full-sized supply) was sent for a total of $171.53 (including $11.97 s&h plus $9.71 MD Sales Tax) to be billed in 3 installments over 31-day billing cycles. The 1st payment of $57.66 was finalized as a charge to the payment card on file on March 19, 2021; the 2nd and 3rd payments of $56.94 and $56.93 each were charged on April 19, 2021, and May 20, 2021, respectively.
Per the terms of the offer, on June 13, 2021, your 3rd shipment (a 90-day supply) was sent for a total of $139.73 (including $11.97 s&h plus $7.71 MD Sales Tax) to be billed in 3 installments over 31-day billing cycles. Due to an inventory shortage, an out-of-stock item was removed from this kit prior to shipment, and so its price was reduced accordingly. The 1st payment of $47.06 was charged on June 14, 2022, leaving a remaining balance of $92.67.
On June 24, 2021, our records indicate that we received your request to cancel your Meaningful Beauty(r) account, but you instead accepted an offer to postpone your next shipment. It was explained at this time how you could adjust the contents of your kits to include only the items you wished to receive, and information was also provided about the balance remaining to bill for your 3rd shipment. Your account was placed on hold until November 30, 2021, at which time shipments resumed.
On July 15, 2021, the 2nd installment of $46.34 for your 3rd shipment was charged to the payment card on file as scheduled; the 3rd installment of $46.33 was charged on August 15, 2021.
On November 30, 2021, your 4th shipment (a 90-day supply) was sent as scheduled for a total of $171.53 (including $11.97 s&h plus $9.71 MD Sales Tax) to be billed in 3 installments over 31-day billing cycles. The first payment of $57.66 was charged at the time of shipping to the credit card on file; the 2nd and 3rd payments of $56.94 and $56.93 each were charged on December 31, 2021, and January 31, 2022, respectively.
On February 2, 2022, our records indicate that we once more received your request to cancel, however you again accepted an offer to postpone your next shipment, along with trying an item out at no additional cost to you, to determine if you'd like to include that item in your shipments moving forward. Your account was once more placed on hold - until the end of April 2022 - at which time shipments resumed.
Your complimentary item was shipped on February 6, 2022.
On April 28, 2022, your 5th shipment (a 90-day supply) was sent for a total of $171.53 (including $11.97 s&h plus $9.71 MD Sales Tax) to be billed in 3 installments over 31-day billing cycles. The first payment of $57.66 was charged at the time of shipping to the credit card on file, leaving a balance of $92.67.
On May 24, 2022, your financial institution reversed the 1st payment of $57.66 for your 5th shipment. While this chargeback created a credit in your favor with your financial institution, it restored the total cost of $171.53 as due and payable to Meaningful Beauty(r). This activated the past-due billing process which sends monthly balance reminders, and your account was cancelled at this time due to the payment dispute.
On June 8, 2022, per your phone inquiry, it was confirmed that your account was cancelled, and the remaining balance for your 5th shipment was explained as well as return instructions provided.
On October 7, 2022, your 5th shipment was processed as received at our facility, well after the 60-Day Money Back Guarantee had expired, thus the balance due was not automatically removed.
On November 2, 2022, per your phone inquiry regarding the billing notices you received, a request was submitted to review your account for exception to the terms of our 60-Day Money Back Guarantee.
On November 3, 2022, the balance of $171.53 remaining due for your 5th shipment, per return outside the guarantee period, was removed. As the payment received for this shipment was already reversed on May 24, 2022, there is no refund remaining to be issued for your return.

I ordered Meaningful Beauty on August 15, 2022. I feel that the product, price and terms are highly misrepresented. I thought that I was ordering a product for $49.95 plus shipping. I only received an email stating the product had been ordered and shipped. I never received any information or confirmation about the terms and the actual price is $225.00 ! My credit card has been charged a total of $150.00 so far. Also, today is the 59th day since I ordered the product, but Meaningful Beauty requires the product to be returned and received in 60 days. Therefore, the 60 day return policy is also misleading. The TV ad is very misleading and does not explain the terms fully and correctly. The product itself is no better than any over the counter product that I've used. Today I went on Meaningful Beauty website and there they have their correct terms listed for the product. Again, feel this product and the terms are completely misrepresented.
I've been undergoing breast cancer surgeries, treatment for the last 2 plus years and thought this product would help in my healing. It's only cost me money that I shouldn't have wasted it on. I feel that I've been deceived.
Therefore, I feel that I'm entitled to a full refund of the $150.00 that I've been charged.

The first payment of $75.02 was charged at the time of shipping to the credit card provided; the second payment of $75.02 was charged on September 15, 2022, leaving a remaining balance of $75.02.
On October 13, 2022, per your phone request, your account was cancelled. Information regarding the total cost, remaining balance due, and last payment date for your initial order was provided at this time. As a courtesy, it was offered to clear the remaining balance, rather than returning the shipment, as the 60-Day Money Back Guarantee would have expired before your return was received. We regret to note on reviewing your experience however, that due to a processing error the remaining balance due of $75.02 was not removed at this time.
