We experienced an unfortunate business experience with El Dorado Hills Party Rentals and my concern is that they will continue to defraud customers in the future. Their online reviews tell the true story of how this keeps happening to customers. We had a simple order of 2 umbrellas and an outdoor misting fan for a party at our home on 9/4/2022. Payment in full collected in advance by *****************. We picked up the equipment on Friday, 9/2/2022, when we went to set everything up the next day (Saturday), the misting fan would not work at all (even after having an electrician friend of ours look at it) and one of the umbrellas did not have the correct poles and could not be used. We called EDH Party rentals and their message line says they have an Emergency Rental Line to leave messages. Both my husband and I called and left messages and never received a call back. I also sent an email to see if we could get a response and still to this day have never received a message, an apology or contact from *********************. My husband and son drove over on Saturday just to see if anyone was there and the **** son happened to be helping a friend pick up some rental items (this son does not work there) and he was kind enough to call his Dad who told him to give us another misting fan. They brought the 2nd fan home and it started working and then a part fell off into the cannister and stopped working again. My son worked on it for over 45 minutes to get it to work and we were able to use it. We returned all equipment on Tuesday following holiday and the husband (co-owner) was there to receive. I asked him to have ***************** call me. I sent ***************** May an email explaining all of our issues again and requesting a refund for the items that they gave us that did not work but she has never responded. Dispute has had to be filed with our own bank for refund. This is truly fraudulent activity on their part and based on previous reviews, this would not be the first time.
