    I purchased a one-month membership on Catholicchemistry.com. It is a dating website. I deleted my account in late December and could not find a place on their website to stop them from billing me. I spent ten minutes looking, there was none. I deleted my account and emailed them at ***************************** and told them I deleted my account and to stop billing me. They ignored me. I called them and left them a voicemail, they ignored me. I was charged in January. I emailed and called demanding a refund and an explanation. No response. They charged me again in February. I again called and emailed and was ignored. I have called and emailed this fraudulent company almost a dozen times and they will not stop billing me. I have even had to contact the owner's other place of business and have left him multiple voicemails at his office and he refuses to call me back. His name is ******* ******** of El Cajon, ***I want my refund of $40. I can't stop this fraudulent company from billing my debit card unless I cancel it and pay $25 for a new one. This company is ridiculous! I demand a refund for their fraudulent charges!

    The customer's complaint came to my attention April 4th. That is not to say the customer did not attempt to contact us prior. It appears there was a failure in our communication channels on our end. I am appreciative of this customer's persistence for bringing it to my attention. The website UI and backend is supposed to not allow the deletion of an account that has an active subscription without the customer first cancelling the subscription. The inability to locate the (deleted) account may be related to why this issue fell through the cracks and communication failed. In any any event, we are in the process of assessing our communication channels as well the account/subscription deletion mechanism. The customer is requesting a refund for $40, the equivalent of 2 payment periods. However, we found that the customer has been with us for 6 payment periods. As a sign of good faith, on April 4th we issued refunds for all payments made by the customer totaling $119.94. It may take 5 - 10 business days for the refund to post to the customer's card. I personally called the customer on April 4th and left a voice message to express my apologies, make sure the issue has been resolved to their satisfaction, and hear any feedback or remaining concerns.
