I hired ************************* to install a water heater. It was installed on December 26, 2023. I paid him in full that night. He still had to install an outlet box, but said he would do that soon. Two days later my water heater turned off when I washed clothes in hot water. On Dec 30, the water heater turned off when I tried to run a bath. He returned on Jan 6 to fix the water heater. Was unable to. Said he ordered a part on Jan 8, and would come by on the 11th to fix it. Texted him on Jan 13 asking about the part. No response. Texted him on Jan 14 asking about the part. He then replied and said it wasn't in yet. Texted him on Jan 15. No response. Texted him on Jan 16. He replied saying he could come on the 17th - he installed the outlet box, but when he installed it he didn't do it correctly. The fan switch in the laundry room doesn't work on the one outlet. But he couldn't fix the water heater. Supposedly ordered another part. No word from him until I texted Jan 26. Replied saying part wasn't in. Texted Jan 31 asking about the part. No response. Texted Feb 1, no response. Texted Feb 2, telling him I needed my garage door opener back. He replied - still no part. He texted me Feb 6 telling me they didn't have a specific date for the part coming in. Offered to put in a regular water heater. I didn't want him to install anything else, given this situation - it was already taking too long. I called the company and found out the part was in fact in stock and would be delivered in 2-4 days. No delay. Texted him this. No response. Texted him Feb 7 twice before he replied. He said he would order the part right then. Texted him Feb 8 asking for tracking info on the part. No response. Texted him Feb 9 asking for tracking info. No response. Texted him Feb 9 at 6:30 pm telling him I was advised to contact BBB. Then he replied saying he ordered the part the day before and gave more excuses. I don't believe him anymore. Stopped contact with him.
