I went into Daniels Jewelers earlier this year and purchased a ring set on credit. Initially when I went in they added their Daniels Diamond Registration without my consent added in extra $450 to my balance. I went up to the store which I lived an hour away from several times, I called the manager over and over until she finally agreed to remove it. She kept saying that she had to wait a specific day that she can take off the charges. That was finally settled. I have made on time payments my whole term with them and had autopay setup. I had lost my card and got a new one which was not updated with them. They called me ti collect the payment and I told them I would be happy to pay them in full right now if they could promise to remove my negative credit remarks which are crippling to me. I want to pay them back and I want ti make this right. The marks they have put in my credit are going cause such detriment to my wellbeing and I have been a good customer and will pay extra if thats what it takes. They told me they cannot remove charges that only experienced can which is untrue. If they want to deny service to me that is one thing but they are lying but saying they do not have the ability to change their own remarks. They have make mistakes in the future with my payment history and had to correct them. I have had a horrible and dishonest experience here that started when they put add ins that I didnt ask for as soon as I made my first purchase.

I purchased a used Rolex from Daniels Jewelers. As i was driving home that night, the dial did not light up nor did the hour/minute hands. This is a key feature to see what time it is at night. The store said the second i walked out there are NO returns. How would I know that function didn't work when the store was full of light during business hours. I called Rolex and gave them my Serial/Reference numbers and they sent me the correct dial/hour/minute parts in an email. The dial on my watch says "T Swiss Made T". The dial Rolex sent me a picture of says "Swiss Made". The dial on my watch does NOT match what the manufacturer says should be on there. I took it to a 3rd party Rolex authenticator and he said the Crown that winds the watch and the 2 claps that join the bracelet to the watch were also NOT original to my watch/serial number. I have a FrankenParts Rolex and all they are will to do is sell me another watch for $19K that costs 12K brand new from Rolex. This is the most un-ethical, bait an switch practice i've ever experienced. They say lets build a relationship but who in their right mind would over 7K more for a USED watch. They also told me they came down from 12.5K to 10K to make the sale. I keep saying take the watch back and sell it for more and everybody wins. Something is NOT legitimate about this sale/company.

      Business response

      12/19/2023

All our Pre-Owned Rolex watches are inspected and certified for authenticity by a 3rd party.  ************** returned to our store for a refund beyond the specified 10-day period.  We have offered to reduce the price of the watch another $500 as an extension of our good will to satisfy him.  We have also given him a very low price on a different watch if he decides he wants to exchange the one he has.  We would be happy to assist him with either option if he returns to the store within the next 10 days.

      Complaint: 20998523

I am rejecting this response because:

I was never told in the store or in writing on my receipt that there is a no return policy on ROLEX.

I bought the watch in the store, but when i left to drive home a major functionality was not working. the watch did not illuminate.

After I wanted to return it, then i was told about the tritium breakdown/life span, which should have been disclosed up front, and the second i left the store they say no return policy. none of this is in writing and they are NOT transparent about this material either. even the box they gave me is not official rolex. They claim you cant buy a 2nd had rolex with box and papers and i kept showing them listings on local ********************************* you can.

I just want my money back and will wait for a Brand New Rolex from an authorized dealer. I never want to go thru this again !

the watch they are offering me to exchange my watch for would cost 12K out the door from a Rolex Dealer. They are trying to sell me a 2017 used watch for 16.5K plus tax which is close to 18K.  Why would anybody overpay 6K for a USED watch. Their claim about inventory shortage is also not true. Chrono24.com is the **** of watches, and site unseen, i can buy a watch, even ROLEX and i have 14 days no questions asked to return it to the seller.

The sales people at ******'s are not properly trained in selling Rolex's and I trusted them to guide me which was a huge mistake on my part.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

On October 23 2023 I opened a line of credit with 50 % down because Daniels Jewelers advertises that every month they report to all three credit bureaus. I have then payed two payments, First payment on November 7th 2023 and the 2nd payment on November 20th 2023. I want to report false advertisement I am working very promptly with my lender to try and buy a house but Daniels Jewelers has given me two negative Inquiry's before i opened a line of credit, that needs to be removed. I thought Daniels Jewelers would report a Positive Inquiry for my on time payments as advertised, but it has been two months and no report.1- False advertisement 2-Negative Inquiry before opening a line of credit with 50% down

Hello, there is a false reporting problem with my credit report.I sent certified mail of documents with proof I have been a victim of identity theft, my proof of identity & a complete FTC Affidavit to the three credit agencies and to Daniels Jewelers. SMC/Daniels jewelers in regard to account# ********** is claiming I opened this account. I have insisted multiple times to them and the credit agencies that I did not. Identity Theft pursuant to FCRA 605B states that any alleged account resulting from identity theft must be removed within 4 Business days of receipt and SMC/Daniels jewelers has never did it. The company responded saying the debt was verified. But how? Nothing logical or legal about that response. I requested for a debt verification from SMC/Daniels jewelers directly and through the reporting agencies as well And I have yet to be given any contractual agreement that I actually signed off for. I request to see the i.d cards used to form such relationship, or however way you tried to prove my identity before issuing such credit. And again, I was not sent back any proof for the bases of their claim and false reporting. Sec. 809 (a)(b) which state: The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act gives consumer the right to request verification of a debt if a debt collector contacts you about a debt. Debt verification sometimes also called debt validation, is a consumers legal right to get information from a debt collector about the debt thats being collected. I know for a fact they cant validate what they imply on my credit report because I actually never had a relationship with them and never gave anyone permission to open any accounts on my behalf. They obviously dont have any type of solid proof which makes this all so disgusting, negligent, and defaming. I am in pursuit of suing Daniels Jewelers if they dont remove their tradeline off my report immediately. My attorneys have already began plans; drawing up demands and meetings, gearing for litigation.
