      These guys are scammers that harass legitimate businesses, trying to extort exorbitant amounts of money for images that were displayed on the internet under creative Commons licensing. The real market value of any of these images is less than $1 and alternatives are readily available but Pixsy requests licensing fees of $500 to $1200 or more. They probably make a lot of money because businesses are fearful of going to court and choose to pay. That's not the right course of action in my opinion. Should Pixsy choose to go to court, do it. An extremely strong case can be made against them and you can go after them for damages.

      Pixsy is the licensing agent for photographers and agencies worldwide and contacts businesses that our clients instruct us to when an image is used without a valid license.

      When an image use does not adhere to the clearly stated licensing terms or there is no valid license, our client is completely within their rights to request a license fee commensurate with their rate.

      The image user was contacted to be advised of the copyright infringement along with simple steps to resolve the situation and use the image in a lawful licensed way.
