I am filing a formal complaint against California Beemers and Teslers for deceptive and unfair business practices during my attempt to purchase a 2022 Tesla Model Y which the interaction occurred Sunday June 1st 2025.The vehicle was advertised with a sales price of $25,990, which would qualify under the *** Used Clean Vehicle Tax Credit (eligibility requires the price to be under $25,000). I visited the dealership with the intention of securing this credit, and staff assured me they could help make that possible. However, when I sat down to review the deal, the dealership added the following charges without clear prior disclosure:$2,700 for wheel refurbishment,$2,000 for paint protection and dealership fees. Both were described as non-negotiable and permanent, despite not being listed in the online advertisement or disclosed in advance. These fees increased the final price to $34,800, far above the advertised price of $25,990 and disqualifying the vehicle from the federal tax credit they had implied I would receive. This experience appears to involve:False or misleading advertising, in violation of California ********************** Code 17500,Undisclosed or forced add-ons, which may violate the California Car Buyers Bill of Rights,Deceptive pricing tactics that obscure the true cost of the vehicle until the customer is already committed. These practices erode consumer trust and create unfair disadvantages for buyers attempting to make informed financial decisions based on advertised prices and available government programs.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Were genuinely sorry to hear that your experience at our dealership didnt meet your expectations.

We understand the importance of clear communicationespecially when it comes to pricing and eligibility for federal tax incentives like the Used Clean Vehicle Tax Credit. To clarify, the 2022 ***** Model Y you inquired about was listed at $25,990. Unfortunately, under the current IRS guidelines, the vehicle must be $25,000 or less to qualify for the credit. As such, this particular vehicle does not meet the criteria and is not eligible for the tax credit.

During your visit, our team presented a few optional products that many of our customers find valuable, such as wheel refurbishment and paint protection. These products are always optional and can be removed if the customer prefers. Were truly sorry if that wasnt made clear or if you felt pressuredthis is never our intent.

If you're still interested in the vehicle, wed be more than happy to honor the advertised price of $25,990 without any optional add-ons. Wed love the opportunity to make things right and earn your trust. Please feel free to reach out to our Client Relations Manager, *******, at ************ so we can help you move forward in a way that feels fair and transparent.

    Dear ***,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. Were truly sorry to hear that your experience with us on March 23rd did not meet your expectations.

As a repeat customer, we appreciate your prior business and are disappointed that your recent visit left you feeling dissatisfied. While we regret that we were unable to complete a transaction together, we recognize that sometimes it's best for both parties to walk away when expectations are not aligned.

During your visit, there was an interaction with one of our team members that we felt crossed a line in terms of mutual respect. As a result, management made the decision not to move forward with the sale. While we understand that tensions can arise during negotiations, we also stand by the importance of maintaining a respectful environment for both our customers and employees.

Even though a sale was never completed, we were surprised to see a negative review posted, followed by a formal complaint and a request to the BBB for $4,500 in damages for a transaction that ultimately never took place. While we understand your frustration, we believe its important to acknowledge that no financial exchange occurred and no product or service was delivered.

Sometimes in life, its better to part ways peacefully than to let a situation escalate into unnecessary conflict. We sincerely wish you all the best in the future.

Unfortunately, I cannot accept your response as it currently stands. I need a detailed and specific explanation of what your team member believes was said or done that allegedly crossed the line in terms of mutual respect. Vague statements will not suffice.

Please also be aware that the entire interaction was recorded on video, so I strongly advise that your response be fully honest and transparent. Any attempt to misrepresent the facts will only escalate this situation further.

Additionally, let me be absolutely clear: I will not accept anything less than a sincere and direct apology for the harassment and threats that were directed at me. This matter is serious, and I expect it to be treated as such.

On June 14 i bought a used 202 tesla model Y from this company. No complaints on that end. After finalizing the purchase the car tires were replaced with the base model tires which were more affordable than their premiums. I requested information regarding this set of tires and whether they were new. They replied by saying that they were in compliance with California regulations, thus i left without any worry. June 29 I go to drive my car and find a tire is fully flat. I go to a repair person and we discover that the tires were in such poor conditions (huge holes all over the rim) that normal driving created a whole (no nail or puncturing object). I take matters into my own hands and repair the tire, while still containing Teslers beemers for them to respond for it. I hear nothing from them. Come July 16 and i found a completely different tire has gone flat. I had to buy a new set of tires to replace them. At the tire shop the worker tells me all four tires that the dealership placed on my car are absolutely garbage. I contact Teslers to make them aware of the situation which was quite dangerous and they replied that their tires were up to California standards. My tire couldve exploded on the highway or I couldve been left stranded somewhere without reception or service to come help me. This is unacceptable scammer

They pressured and pushed me to buy a Tesla and put my down payment of 15k down before I got car insurance. They said the car was 38k, but after everything it was 45k. I asked for the papers I signed and the manager ***** wouldnt let me until I got insurance. This is ridiculous because ***** the finance guy told me that I would be able to get a copy. ***** gave me a DMV copy of reassignment that states it is not a valid transfer of vehicle. He lied to me and said that he needs to keep **** because of registration fees for the car. I tried telling him in person I was not getting the car anymore but he refused to give me my money back. I spoke to the bank as well. He also said my credit would be ruined but I never received the keys for the car or drove it off the lot. The salesman told me I had 5 days to keep it on the lot after I bought it, but then ***** told me that doesnt matter. They kept calling me relentlessly, pressuring me to buy car insurance instead of me taking my time to shop around. ***** wanted me to ***************** and then change it later because he wanted me to buy the car very badly. I felt disrespected the entire time for being a young woman.
