Since August 2024, Im being charged for parking $35. Every year when I go to sign a new lease, they want to increase the rent and my unit isnt remodeled, but they want to charge me an extra $45 a month? I think this is a subtle way of increasing the rent. It would be $1835 plus $35 for parking.

    Good afternoon,

Please see the following response to the complaint raised.

Parking at the property has now been charged to all of the tenants at the property which was adjusted with a notice for this change of terms of the lease on the renewal. The tenant has signed two leases where this charge is addressed on the lease. We have kept the rent on the renewal lease for the same amount as the previous year without an increase after the tenant came forward and asked if they could renew at the same rent. The rents are subject to the market and we have renewed this tenant at a fair rent which will now be kept the same amount from last year as agreed to with the most recently signed lease.

Should other concerns need to be addressed we ask the tenant speak with the property manager or submit a maintenance work order through the tenant portal.

    Thank you,

I am a resident at *********************** in *********, **. On July 23, 2025, my vehicle was towed from my assigned, paid parking space because the parking permit, which normally hangs from my rearview mirror, was missing. However, the permit had only fallen off inside the car during my last drive it was not removed or lost. Despite this, the apartment management and towing company took no steps to notify me by phone, text, or in person, even though they have my contact information and I was home at the time. The parking lot was nearly empty, and I have always paid for and used the same spot. I was forced to pay $360 to retrieve my vehicle from the tow yard. The towing company initially gave me the wrong location for my car, causing further delay and stress.I believe the apartment management acted unfairly by towing my vehicle without any prior warning or attempt to contact me, especially considering the permit was still in the car but simply not visible.

Thank you for your message regarding the towing of your vehicle on July 23, 2025.

Per our community parking policy, any vehicle parked on the property without a valid parking pass visibly displayed is subject to immediate towing, regardless of whether the vehicle is assigned to a paid space. This policy is in place to ensure parking enforcement is applied consistently and fairly for all residents and guests.

Towing services for the property are handled by an independent, third-party company. We do not set or control their towing or storage fees, and any payment disputes regarding charges would need to be addressed directly with the towing company.

We understand this situation has caused you frustration, and we appreciate your understanding of the importance of maintaining clear and visible parking permits at all times while parked on the property.

    Sincerely,
