    I had rented a small unit from this company and everything went fine until I moved out. I cleaned the apartment to the same standard I recieved it, had a military veteran double check, took video of the place and dropped the key at the business property per power west properties request on 12/31/2023. Once some time had passed, I recieved a deduction from my security deposit for $750 dollars for cleaning fees. I disputed this and asked to meet in person to see what they found that needed to be cleaned. They agreed to meet at their office on January 20th 2024. I drove from ********** and back for this meeting and it was just sad. The first thing I asked for was pictures of the any mess they claim I left, the employees told me they didnt take any. Power West Properties employees told me I had to, "take their word about a mess or *** them." They informed me that an owner of this company was an attorney. I demanded some proof to show any reason for my deposit to be held, the only thing they gave me was an undated, improperly filled out, inspection form. No pictures. No proof. I was stunned. After telling them I will have to *** because they have no proof, they told me to leave, and berated me for being crazy for not believing them. I plan on ***ing this garbage company next month but I was hoping this complaint can resolve the is***. After I left the meeting I drove back to **********. I got an email from them showing pictures( magically generated pictures apparently). These pictures did not show any mess, no damage, no date and time, no context, no proof of any kind to justify $750. I am also worried that this is common for this company because they told me they do this to all renters. The employee I spoke with clearly stated that Power West Properties takes money from all of the deposits for cleaning fees. This feels like bad faith accross the board. The fact that they refused to show me pictures and let me think the pictures didn't exist, is cruel and unethical.
