On September 20th I purchased a 2006 ****** Camry from Lindstrom Auto Sales in *****, ** for $4,000 cash. On the very same day the car overheated less than 30 miles away from the dealership. He picked the vehicle back up, and later told me the head gasket had a small leak. He apparently pulled the engine out and "fixed" the issue. On September 28th I paid $100 for an **** to get to ***** from ******* and get the car. It did make it back to *******, and sat for awhile while I saved up money and went out to the Shoe Fire. On October 23rd I arrived back in town and printed out my insurance cards to drive. On the 26th of October I drove my mother out to **********, ** and when I was attempting to drive back the same problem occurred with the temperature overheating. When checking the fluids in the radiator we noticed a sparkling substance in the liquid, to which he stated he had put a sealant in there. On top of that, the water reservoir had two different colors in the water. Since he failed to resolve the issue the vehicle had immediately from the beginning I asked for my money back and the full amount, not the $2,000 he put on the bill of sale. He replied with, "you can either work with me or kick rocks.." With that being said I would like to handle this legally, since he didn't fix the issue the first time, and is now being aggressive.

So I sold her the vehicle. Car overheated on her immediately after I sold vehicle. I paid for a **** to get them home ($80) and went and picked up vehicle. Got vehicle back ans inspected for overheating. Found the previous owner had put head gasket sealer ( that's the sparkly stuff) We did not install head gasket sealant. Turns out engine had a leak on the backside from head gasket. We installed a recycled engine from another vehicle into vehicle. I personally test drove it after, no further overheating issues. Customer came picked up vehicle  September 26th and drove it from ***** to **********. Almost a month later I get a call from ***** mother I believe. She was hyperventilating, screaming at me and I believe she was intoxicated. From what little I could understand she said they have driven the car only two miles and car is overheating. I profusely apologized, said no problem. I will get it figured out. Middle of the call she had a call come in and handed the phone to some unknown lady. I explained to her I had more questions and to have her call me back when she got off phone. After getting off the phone I had more time to assess situation. After repair they drove the vehicle from ***** to ********** with zero issues. Also they had the  vehicle and were driving it around for almost 30 day days with no issues. So she lied to me saying they only drove 2 miles, had the car for almost 30 day's since repair, was very rude, combative. Even all that I was still willing to help. Tried to explain her that engine we installed obviously isnt problem since they have been driving it for almost a month and that there must be another issue. She mentioned the sparkles. Told her that was from old engine and was just left over. But again she was to busy being rude and yelling to understand me. Told her she has two options. Start being nice, stop screaming at me and I will gladly help or if she continues to be rude, abusive and lie to me. I am going to tell you to kick rocks. Car is and was sold as is. Most places wouldn't of done anything.

I am rejecting this response because: my issue has not been resolved from the first time. The vehicle has only ever been driven 5 times. The 1st and 5th time they both had the same problem, it overheated. I'd like a refund, or a running vehicle.

And I have no problem fixing your vehicle, have a pretty good idea what issue is. However I will not help you further if you continue to yell, be rude, be belligerent and tell me lies. We fixed the vehicle, replaced engine. You drove the vehicle well over 100 miles atleast with zero problems after repair. So obviously issue was fixed and something else is going on. You should be thankful that i stand behind my vehicles and willing to help. So again up to you. You want to be nice, be respectful, and not be rude I will gladly look at your vehicle. You want to continue being the way you are, I will tell you to kick rocks.
