    We have had excellent experiences with First American. Even when the contractors were not on time or didnt show up. First American made it right. Sometimes calling them up instead of relying on electronic communication is best. I have had at least 7 things fixed or repair. 3 very big ticket items!

    This was our first claim. Our first appointment was scheduled a couple of weeks out for the claim on our washing machine. On the day of the service, I received an email that there was no technician available to service the washing machine, and I had to reschedule the appointment for another 2 weeks out. In total, it took over a month to get the washing machine fixed. I understand that our home is in the mountains (******); however, having to go to a laundry mat to do our laundry for a month was quite an inconvenience. Thank goodness this did not happen in winter.

    This company is extremely apologetic. We switched to **** and recently filed our first (and only) claim for a broken **. We explained that where we live it is extremely hot dessert weather and we have an elderly woman living with us. We were told we'd be on their "emergency list" and someone would be out to service our **. Now let me tell you about the contractor (********************). They came in a random truck with a little toolbox to check our **, with my husbands assistance! The contractor had to come out twice and as of now (six weeks later), our ** unit still has not been fixed. We shared all these concerns in detail to **** and were just repeatedly told "I'm sorry". To the point where we said we don't want sorry's, we want this matter resolved. After finally being able to talk to a supervisor, who also said repeatedly said sorry, we found out being on an "emergency list" only means someone will follow-up but there is no real urgency. FYI the only follow-up's were when WE contacted FAMW and waited hours for a call back. We opted to cash out and fix the ** ourselves. Now we are told we have to wait x amount of days for claims to figure out how much we can cash out but at that time nobody could assist us. This company is a scam who hires inexperienced contractors to service their customers. Don't waste your money. **** doesn't even deserve the 1-star.

    Do Not do business with First American Home Warranty!You pay them, then they charge you a fee to use what you paid for, then they send the "claim" to a contractor who demands someone be home for half the day so they can show up according to their workflow and schedule. If you live alone, they demand that you take off of work to "make yourself available." The contractor and First American Home Warranty were both uncooperative because they already got their money and don't care about the customer or doing the necessary work.

    I am filing a complaint against First American Home Warranty for breach of contract, bad faith handling of a valid AC claim, and knowingly assigning a non competent contractor with a documented history of failure My central air conditioning system is blowing warm air and unable to cool the home during a heat wave. I filed a timely service request through First American which I pay for under the terms of their home warranty contract Instead of dispatching a qualified HVAC technician in a timely manner, First American assigned Comfort Pros of *********, ** a contractor with a 1.1 star average rating across public review platforms. This company has dozens of documented complaints for no-shows, poor work, delays and deceptive behavior. First American Home Warranty is aware of this history and still chose to assign them When I raised legitimate concerns for the quality of their provider and stated I have an elderly persons w heart condition:A different in-network provider, or Authorization to use a licensed, fully insured ************ of my own,First American refused ******* delay a basic repair during a heat wave, with full knowledge of the risks, is not just negligence it is intentional stonewalling and breach of contractual obligation. Their only solution was to offer a portable AC unit for $150, which is a temporary deflection, not a repair. This does not fulfill the contract, nor does it meet industry standards for performance The warranty contract requires them to provide timely, competent repair or replacement of covered systems. Their refusal to assign a qualified contractor or allow reasonable alternatives has left me in unsafe living conditions, despite being fully paid on the policy This conduct appears to be a systematic business practice: stall the claim, assign unqualified contractors, and wear down the customer until they give up or pay out of pocket. Thats bad faith plain and simple Ill be filing a complaint with the *** as well

    I've been a customer for 8 years and they are horrible! I live in a rural area so I don't know if that's why I cant get a technician that is knowledgeable to come out instead of the Meth heads they do send. They sent this guy that looked like a meth head to work on my dishwasher and he replaced a part and a few hours later it caught on fire!I told him I wanted it replaced because I don't trust it since it caught on fire and the customer service Pakistan person agreed that they would.But days later I called back about my replacement dishwasher and they said they don't see any notes about that...etc.All they do is give you the runaround over and ******** they refuse to replace it and want to send the same meth head back out here to work on it!!! I said no and CANCELED my contract.

    just signed on with this company & haven't had a problem yet so we will see if they live up to their reputation. For the people complaining they can't get their merchandise repaired? This is the way of the world we live in today. Everyone knows everything, can do everything, wants a big paycheck but actually knows nothing or does nothing!!!! Not being able to get reliable companies to repair is not this company's fault but they should replace whatever it is as they say they do!!!!!

    My Central AC Broke Down. I called First American Home Warranty to have my AC Fixed. 3 Days later They sent a very Incompetent Technician out. He said the Compressor went out on the Unit. The compressor would have to be Ordered. The wait time would be 3 to 5 Business Days. A week went by and the following Monday Still no word about the Compressor. I made Several Phone Calls concerning my work Order. I received Different Responses from Multiple Agents from First American Home Warranty. I was told it would be until the 8th of August or a Much Later date in August or even in September before receiving the Compressor. I decided a Day Later, S**** that S*** I would Call *** *******. I am Glad I did. The Technicians there Helped me Move up to a Trane AC. I Dropped First American Home Warranty like A Bad Habit. It Feels Great to Move on up to A Trane AC. Good Riddance to Bad First American Home Warranty Rubbish. I am looking forward to Receiving my Trane AC from *** ************ of experience: July 28, 2025 Edi **** ********* 1 review Updated a day ago Rated 1 out of 5 stars My Central Air Conditioner Went Out 2My Central Air Conditioner Went Out 2 Weeks Ago. 6 Days later Service Technician said the Compressor was Bad. Would have to be Ordered, with 3 to 5 Business Days wait. It's Monday 07 28 2025. The Compressor hasn't come in. House is hot. First American Home Warranty is Ran by Incompetence. I Spent 1000 Dollars on 4 Air Conditioners to help keep my house cool. First American only Offered me 150 Dollars. That's an Insult. Still Not Fixed. I will not Recommend First American Home Warranty to my Worst Enemy. They Need to be Sued for Everything they Got.     If I could give First American Home Warranty zero stars, I would. This has been hands-down the worst experience I've ever had with any companyhome-related or otherwise.From the start, their customer service was unresponsive, disorganized, and unapologetically unhelpful. Long hold times, contradictory information, and a complete lack of urgency made every interaction incredibly frustrating. I had to call multiple times just to get basic updates on my claim, and even then, the representatives often didnt know what was going on or gave me incorrect information.The contractors they sent out were unreliable and clearly not vetted for quality. One appointment was missed without notice, and another contractor showed up completely unprepared. The work that did get done was subpar and had to be redoneat my own expense, no lessbecause First American refused to take responsibility.When I reached out for help or escalation, I was met with stonewalling and zero accountability. It felt like they were doing everything possible to delay or deny valid claims rather than honor their part of the agreement.This company is not about helping homeownersthey're about collecting premiums and doing the bare minimum in return. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. First American Home Warranty has been an enormous waste of time, energy, and money.

    Ive been trying to get a microwave fixed for a year with no luck. After a full year our replacement is finally delivered but the trim kit and microwave are two different colors. Now I have to start over again with a move date coming up in a few days. This is most ridiculous company *** ever worked with in my life
