  I hired Budget Tree Service in *******, **, to do $17,000 work of tree work, mostly eucalyptus and Brazilian pepper wood and a couple large palms. **** promised to save me my pepper wood, from trees my dad had planted 45+ years ago (very thick trunks and branches), so I could cut them up and make a log slice pathway, which is about 450 square feet, as well as some smaller paths. He also promised not to touch a pile of logs/trunks I had before he began work. After he was finished I was left with almost no pepper wood. Even the trunks/logs I had before he started are gone. When I brought this to his attention he said that I should have paid him more for this work. He promised to replace the pepper wood, but that was a lie. So far he has only dropped off a load of very small dead branches (8 inches wide max but mostly much thinner pieces and sticks), not anything close to what he destroyed or took (***** wide trunks, deep red-orange-brown). Im worried that the wood he dropped off could infect my trees because it looks pale/dead/sick with gray bark. He promised to bring more, but so far hasnt done it, which is what is prompting my complaint. Im very ill and fatigued and cant go get new wood myself. Im devastated and traumatized by this. I want him to replace the thicker logs he took and/or destroyed. At this point, it doesnt have to be pepper wood, just large (***** wide), unsplit round trunks and branches from healthy trees. I can stain them to match the pepper wood.I want him to promise me that going forward he will have a meeting every morning with his crew before they start work so they understand whether or not their other customers want to keep their wood or not, etc. I dont want another person to go through this because he cant control his crew. I really didnt want to file a complaint or bad review like this. He otherwise did an amazing job cleaning up the yard and cutting down some very difficult and dangerous trees. He just over-cleaned up.
