I am filing a complaint regarding Wild Earths Unicorn *** vegan cat food, which is marketed as safe and nutritionally complete for obligate carnivores. This is a biologically and biochemically false claim.Cats are obligate carnivores who require meat-based nutrients like taurine, arachidonic acid, preformed vitamin A, ******, and vitamin D3. Wild Earth claims to provide these in bioavailable supplemented forms, but science and veterinary literature consistently show that cats lack the enzymes to safely or efficiently metabolize synthetic or plant-derived versions of these nutrients. Long-term feeding of vegan diets can cause irreversible harm, including blindness, heart failure, liver damage, and death. The company claims their formulation was developed by veterinarians and nutritionists, yet they are promoting a product that defies basic metabolic facts. This is misleading advertising and potentially dangerous to animal welfare. They have no legitimate scientific backing to claim their product is crafted to meet the needs of obligate carnivores, yet they continue to push this narrative for profit.I believe this is an example of unethical and misleading marketing that puts animals at risk and manipulates well-meaning consumers who want to do the right thing.

WILD EARTH ordered several thousand bags from my company and now refuses to pay for them. Bags were produced to spec and delivered in a timely manner. Everyone involved in the launch of Wild Earths new product have left or been terminated and now the company refuses to pay for the product they ordered. Other businesses need to know not to trust these people.

Nov 2023 I received a package that I canceled of dog food weeks before it arrived. I spoke with a young lady ** customer service. When I received the package I called wild earth and asked why did I receive a package I canceled. I spoke with ********* on the chat explained situation. He basically didnt want to hear what I have to say. I asked for a return label. He said I would have to pay for it and I said I will not pay for it because I never order to talk food in the first place I canceled prior to you sending it while my dog can I eat that food shes allergic to it. I sent several emails from November through December 12, 2023 which was never resolved. I was told by ********* that a specialist will be calling me within one to two days. We are now in January. I have heard from no one I called on January 3, ****. Spoke with a male who stated he was a manager by the name of *****, who was absolutely unprofessional and so rude didnt want to hear anything I had to say, and told me it was too late for me to return the dog food and I said how can I be when I called today I received a package, I want a complete refund and a label for free to return the dog food. Even though I announced my cancelation on June 8, 2023 Wild Earth kept on sending me shipping notifications which I canceled by skipping the shipment. The last notification from August 13 was skipped, immediately, but Wild Earth shipped the order without my consent. 4 bags of 18lbs dog food were shipped in a single box and was left outdoors. Crows got into the bags that were flimsily packed. Wild Earth claimed that they were "unable" to arrange for a *** pick up (although they have a *** account), they demanded that I will pack each 18lbs in 4 individual boxes. Apparently It was very hard to print a single shipping label of 72 lbs. I do not wish to be burdened with shipping back an order that i didn't approve. Wild Earth could easily arrange for a pick up and call it a day. Instead they choose to argue in order to defend their own mistake.I expect a full refund whether they choose to pick the bags up or leave them behind.Sincerely ***********************

I am rejecting this response because: the company stated plainly during a phone conversation that their web page was poorly designed such that it would be easy to create a recurring order instead of a one time order. Regardless, but in addition the company suggests that I would have intentionally made a one time order when I most certainly would not have. Two reasons - first they discontinued food and the order in question would be new food for my dog. New food is tested by a pet in small amounts to see if it's liked. I would not establish a recurring order when testing food. Second, the order was shipped to an address that I moved from. I would not have set up a recurring order shortly before moving. The company now creates an impossible situation for refund which is that I somehow obtain an order that was shipped to an address at which I no longer live. The company response is not in good faith, and I do not consider this response to be acceptable nor satisfactory. I reject the response.

    Sincerely,

***********************roduct was discontinued. I absolutely made a one time purchase because my dog would need to try the food as an introduction to something new. The order number was ****** and the cost to me was $28.74. On **** I was charged for another small bag of food. I did not make this order, and I did not receive the order, as my address had changed. The order number was ****** and the cost to me was $39.01. This is the amount I am seeking a refund for. I also provided an example of the same instance of being charged for an order I did not make, which was on 11-17-22 when I was charged for a large bag of dog food about two months after I was charged for the same large bag of dog food (9-22-22). I did not make a recurring order for this product either. I said I received that food and stored it because it would get used, but that I found it quite odd that I had received it. To summarize. Wild Earth refused to refund $39.01, and gave me preposterous/impossible conditions to get one.

There were not any one time orders made In this case. Customer created 3 separate subscriptions under one account. When a subscription is created it automatically sends out orders based on the frequency selected during sign up. Refunds can be issued when a customer returns their order.  We apologize for any frustration, but we are unable to issue a refund if the order being refunded is not returned to us.
