    *********************** (OWNER) brought the 2008 ****** Highlander (VEHICLE) to Oceanworks (SHOP) to have front brakes serviced due to rotor warp. SHOP advised OWNER that brakes were fine but front CV joints were "leaking excessively" and needed replacing. OWNER had vehicle inspected 5k miles prior and noted no leaking of CV joints. OWNER proceeded with approving CV joint replacement. SHOP replaced with non-OEM axles and joints, which upon delivery shook front end. OWNER returned VEHICLE to SHOP and SHOP admitted parts were faulty, then replaced with same non-OEM parts. SHOP told owner upon delivery that CV joints now make loud noise and said only other option was replacement with OEM parts, which shop could not provide. OWNER took possession of VEHICLE with faulty parts installed and was offered no refund of payment on services or parts. SHOP admitted to faulty parts being installed. At no point did SHOP offer a CV rebuilt using factory axles. When OWNER asked for factory axles to be returned, SHOP said they were thrown away. VEHICLE is still exhibiting symptoms of faulty front axles and CV joints. SHOP did not address initial front brake complaints, which persist. OWNER desires refund of all parts and service fees.
