This complaint had already filed in the past. I never got a response from Ring Central. Now, I am seeking $2500 as a resolution against Ring Central for continuing to steal money from my business checking. Please see the complaint below:desired request now Re: Account #*********** This is **** Y. ********, the owner and administrator of the account.I opened a ****** telephone VoIP desktop service with RingCentral around September 2024. In or about November 2024, there were persistent problems with the service including, but not limited to:- Phone configuration issues - Forwarding call failures - Voicemail malfunctions - Dropped calls - Safety violations on all lines: ************, etc.Despite contacting customer service multiple times, I did not receive a resolution. These issues severely disrupted business operations, and I believe the service was misrepresented when sold.I am requesting that:1. All charges from the time the problems started be reversed.2. The account be fully closed with no further billing.3. A formal written apology or explanation be provided. Also, because of this terrible service, I transferred 2 of those 3 lines to *** Cable since 6 months ago. Ring Central are still until date collecting money for those 2 lines. We requested cancellation of our RingCentral account on March 6, 2024, with an expected end date of March 31. Since then, weve been charged $4,602.57 without access to our account or supporting documentation. Despite repeated follow-ups, weve received only vague replies and no refund.RingCentral acknowledged the cancellation and promised a full refund after a device buyout process, which we completed in June. As of now, the refund status is still listed as For Processing with no estimated completion date, and no way to escalate or confirm progress.Business Response

We resolved an issue with Ring Central related to renewal payment with our annual subscription, which, upon payment by us for an amount over what was part of the final agreement, would result in a refund. The full incorrect payment amount was made as RC claimed it would be required to more promptly restore our critical phone services, but that they would issue a refund to correct the final billing amount. Despite payment, and their affirmed claim that a refund was processed upon payment, no refund has been made and ** has repeatedly ignored our attempts to communicate by email and by live chat despite having active services with them. Attached is an email chain showing the confirmation by RC of a refund being processed to the payment method used (which is still active) within 7-10 days, but 5 months later it has yet to happen despite repeated follow-ups, which have been ignored.They clearly are not acting in good faith and clearly are not making any effort to provide required support in this case.Business Response

I have attempted to close my RingCentral account for several months since May 2025. Each time, I was placed on hold for more than 40 minutes. I have finally been able to reach a person via "chat"; however, that "person" states I might was well keep it for another year, since I "missed the 30 day deadline to cancel." I feel like this is a bait and switch tactic, that is illegal in *****. This could be escalated to the Texas Attorney General, under its ************************ I am seeking the help of BBB as a way to "conservatively" seek help.Customer Answer

We used RingCentral for telephony services. We have no use for those services any longer so we attempted to cancel the account. The "cancel" button on the account page is fake and when clicking it it just tells you to contact support. I contacted support a month ago requesting account cancellation but they refuse to acknowledge that this is a cancellation request. One employee has followed up with an email stating that they tried contacting us about our "concern" but were unable to reach us. We have not been contacted by RingCentral, and we have sent multiple emails reiterating that we want these services cancelled, but RingCentral continues to ignore the requests, and they continue to charge us for services we do not use and have asked repeatedly to cancel.Business Response

I am filing this complaint against RingCentral, Inc. regarding significant service failures and contract-related issues that have negatively impacted our small business, ************* Name].For over six months, we experienced extreme and ongoing service disruptions with RingCentral. These included frequent outages and repeated instances where our customer service agents were unable to receive inbound calls. This directly hurt our business operations and our ability to serve our customers.Despite many attempts to resolve the issue through RingCentrals support team, we were given repeated assurances that the problem had been fixed, yet the issues continued. After months of frustration, we made the decision to port all our numbers to another provider and completely discontinue RingCentrals services.Since making that change, our call volume has increased by approximately 50%, which strongly suggests that RingCentrals system was failing to properly route a large portion of our calls. The financial and reputational impact of this is substantial, though difficult to measure precisely.We were subsequently informed by RingCentral that our account was under a ****** agreement through March 2026. We had not been fully aware of this term, and now RingCentral is attempting to charge us an early termination fee of $9,285 or offering minor discounts on service we no longer use. Given the magnitude of the service failures and RingCentrals advertised ******% uptime guarantee which was clearly not met we believe enforcing this contract is unreasonable and ********* this point, we are requesting the following resolution:Full waiver of all early termination fees;Closure of our account with no further charges.We trusted RingCentral to provide reliable phone services and were let down not only by the technology but also by their customer service process. First, My ring camera is still in warranty My ring camera pro went offline, I called customer service and was instructed to send back my camera ASAP with the provided shipping label, and I will receive either the same or better right away and received email that it was order on June 10th, thats the only email I *********** I shipped it right in only to never receive a replacement device.Upon calling three separate times, the most recent one speaking with a manager, she was unwilling to make the situation right.They keep saying they are out of stock when I see them for sale online on their store I asked for a refund so I could buy a new one, I was trying to work with them with no resolution So now they have my camera that I purchased with no replacement, I also laid for a subscription that will be renewing in a week Another ***** on top of the cost of the ring camera pro. 179.Business Response

When we first signed up for RingCentral, we were promised an incentive of six months of service credit, which played a key role in our decision to choose their platform. Despite this, the credit was never applied, and our requests for resolution have gone unanswered.Additionally, we were given incorrect information about licensing requirements and were pressured into purchasing licenses that we did not need and have not used. I attempted to resolve this issue with their team multiple times over several months but received no meaningful support.Throughout our onboarding and implementation process, we were constantly shuffled between different representativesmany of whom were either fired or reassigned without notice. Each time a new representative was assigned, we had to start the process over, which led to significant delays and confusion.RingCentral also misrepresented our service activation date. Although we went live in December, they falsely recorded our go-live date as June, which may have affected the terms of our service agreement and credit eligibility.Despite repeated outreach, we have been ignored, given empty reassurances, or sent in circles. I was finally able to connect with someone a few months ago, but since then Ive only been told repeatedly that they would follow upyet no resolution has come.Conclusion:While the service itself is functional, the companys handling of our account has been extremely frustrating and misleading. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and false promises have left us feeling deceived and ignored. I am requesting the BBBs assistance in resolving these matters, including the refund or credit for unused licenses and fulfillment of the original service credit that was promised.Business Response

I recently joined my company as the head of IT. I shortly discovered that this company has been paying RingCentral $1800 per month for services that were not being used. And while digging deeper I found an executed agreement between my company and RingCentral from 2023 stating that our monthly responsibility would be dropped down to $500 per month. RingCentrals invoices did not change and my company had been paying $1800 per month ever since. Ive been trying to address and resolve this issue with them for almost month only to be ignored by management. We will now be taking legal action against them.Business Response

TECHNOLOGY HAS NOW ADVANCED THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE NUMBER PREFIXES A MAJORITY OF THE TIME. I DON'T ADVERTISE THAT NUMBER AS A MAIN NUMBER. I WASN'T TOLD THIS. I PURCHASED ANOTHER SERVICE FROM THEM THAT IS ATTACHED TO MY MAIN LOCAL NUMBER JULY 5, 2025 AND NOW THE SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK. I HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY SINCE 2011.
