This is a bait and switch dishonest rip off. I went in with an online quote to buy my vehicle for $13,410. After ***** inspection he handed me an offer for $11,400. I asked why the write down he said it was because of two dings that were so small that you could barely see them when you looked at them at an angle and for a few minor scratches on the top of the rear bumper. I left and drove to Car *** which had offered $13,400 on line. After they inspected the car and took it for a test drive they offered me the full $13,400. I left with a check within an hour. Barber Honda lures you in with a competitive price then picks ridiculous items to lower the price. Car *** is in the business of making money so they would not pay me more than the car was worth. Barber Honda apparently needs to take you for a sucker and make you a crazy low offer hoping you are desperate for the money and will not go any where else.

Today August 7, the smog testing facility I took my 2020 CRV car to informed me they were unable to communicate with the vehicle. They suggested taking it to a Honda dealer.
I contacted Barber Honda's service department to schedule an appointment. I was told if I come in without an appointment, the car would sit there for 1-1/2 weeks. The first available appointment is in September.
I explained that CA DMV requires the vehicle to be registered within 20 days. So that timelime doesn't work. The service response remained the same; bring it in or wait until September. Since this was totally unacceptable, I asked to speak with the service manager. I was transfered to voice mail. Never received a call back.
If this is the type of unsatisfactory service I can expect from this PRETEND Honda dealer, then I should just get rid of this SUV even though I have owned several Hondas over the years.
As a side note, Visalia Honda could get me in August 22. Auto Nation Honda Valencia scheduled me for this Thursday, August 10. Both are a 1-1/2 hour drive each way.
I believe word of mouth counts. Although no one might read my comments, I posted the same review on DealerRater, Pissed Consumer, Site Jabber, Nextdoor, Honda Customer Service, ...

      ****,
There are many people that need service to their Honda's. A week and a half is about 10 days and you represent that the DMV requires you to correct the issue within 20 days. I can offer to have you bring your car in on August 15, which as long as the potential issue can be repaired on that day should leave you with plenty of time before your 20 days are up.

At the time I reached out to you, Barber Honda, the best you could do was to guarantee my car sitting on your lot for 1-1/2 weeks if I came in without an appointment or an appointment could be made for September. To date, your service manager still hasn't returned my call.
Don't be astonished but let me show you what good service looks like:
      As posted on Nextdoor
For those of you who read my post about the failed smog test and Barber Honda's poor customer service, perhaps will like a story about excellent customer service.
Yesterday, because of my post, **** from ********** & ****** reached out to me and invited me to bring my car to their facility this morning. He wrote, "I will put a scanner on it and see if it’s actually communicating. If it is we can then smog it, ..."
My car communicated just fine and passed the smog test. While I'm happy to be able to finish my registration, I'm also happy that tomorrow I don't have to drive 90 miles each way to Valencia and back. But my greatest joy comes from an individual reaching out to help when they didn't have to.
Thank you, ****. In the future, ********** & ****** is where I'll take my car for service.
I will never use your dealership for any service!

I took my car in for a noise . They said it was the transmission . Promised me I would have my car in a week . I had to keep calling to get updates on my vehicle . I called a week after still my part hasn’t even been ordered . I asked for a rental there saying there’s 7 people ahead of me . At this point I already missed 2 weeks of work because that was my only car I have to drive to work and take my kids to the baby sitter . I called the 3rd week and finally my part was on ordered and would be here on Monday . I asked about the rental still I’m number 7 in line . . I asked when I would get it back .and now they’re saying it can take a lil over a week to put the Transmission in? Are u kidding me ? And still no rental ?? At this point I’m so fusturatted.I missed so much work and money and can’t do anything because of it .called to talk to a supervisor or manager and he was too busy on the floor would call back . Never received a call. They honestly don’t care about there customers.but put yourself in my shoes you would feel the same way .bugging them to get updates on your car.

Barber Honda Service is dishonest and tries to take advantage of its customers. Clearly attempting to take advantage of female customers. They recommended a pricey repair for an "issue". I was skeptical so I took my car to a trusted independent repair shop, letting them know the "issue" - my other repair shop confirmed that there was no issue at all. At another time, I reached out to Barber Honda for help with a potential recall issue and they were entirely unhelpful. These people are dishonest and greedy with zero customer service skills.
