    STAR appliance selected by Fidelity Home Warranty for a fridge not working. Initially had tech out on Thursday. Tech stated he would get report filed that evening and we would hear from them the following day. We did not and so called and were unable to reach STAR as their line was not allowing phone calls in. We contacted our home warranty company and they were able to get in touch and told us that they were waiting for the tech to submit his report. The report was then submitted the following Tuesday and we were not contacted for another week and subsequent appointment scheduled for the following week (this past Thursday). The tech came, told us the wrong part had been ordered and he would have to submit the report again and would do so in the morning. I contacted the business Thursday and spoke with their front desk or whoever answers the phone and asked them to expedite it and she was very rude and kept saying this was not their fault. I told her that the tech had the information they needed and could just call in to give them the info. She said this would cause a delay. I asked multiple times to speak with a manager or have this issue escalated as we have been without a fridge for 3 going on 4 weeks now. She said she would get back to me the following day (yesterday) and she did not. I tried calling yesterday and today and their phone is not allowing calls in.

    On January 24,2024, a service man representing Star Appliance serviced my Subzero refrigerator/freezer. He stated that parts (including the compressor) needed to be ordered to make the repair. I have had no message from him for over a month. I have repeatedly contacted the company at ************ ( seems like an answering service) and received the message: waiting for parts. Taking more than a month to ship parts is not reasonable.

    1/22/24 9am S.T.A.R. Appliance repairman said he didnt know whats the matter with it. Within 15 mins of turning on the oven - whole house fills with black ********** saw it with his owe eye. But he said it could be a mouse being stuck and being cooked or fan not working or it could be many other things and he wont know until he opens it up. But he cant do anything until he gets approval from the warranty company. He said he wont get the approval for 2 weeks so than I said that was the worst warranty company ever. Then he got super defensive & said that was the best there is. Then he goes back & tells warranty company that thats nothing wrong with my oven. This STAR appliance company is sending out unqualified tech & just keep on collecting deductibles from customers and never fix anything. BBB needs to read the review on yelp & investigate. This is not an isolated incident. This is happening to many other costumers.

    Terrible company. A technician came out for our leaking dishwasher. STAR sent someone out and a part was ordered. Today a technician was supposed to come between 2-6pm. I just called to confirm that someone was indeed coming and the employee told me the technician called in sick and she is not sure why nobody called me. I took today off from work to be here for the technician. Needless to say I am upset. Only to come here to read that this company frequently does not show up to appointments and does not give phone calls notifying of cancellations. I told the employee on the phone this is exactly what all the Yelp reviews claim about the company. She said they do not care about Yelp reviews and that they only work with insurance companies. The soonest she can get a technician out here is September 6th. I asked her to move another customer since I was supposed to be today and she said she could not do that.

    Our refrigerator stopped working 1/29/23. Our home warranty (AHS) sent out 2 companies that were unable to resolve our issue. They finally sent out STAR and that is where things went bad. It is now 7/6/23 and we are still without a working fridge! STAR has been been to our home 9 times (about to be 10!) and the issue is still not resolved. They have release the compressor twice, seal system twice, mother board twice, done two diagnostic tests which both showed no leaks and they wrote that in a report and recommended a replacement unit! The last visit was to fix a condenser, which is a repair that they miraculously found even after doing previous diagnostic testing. After they "fixed" that issue, they discovered that the mother board was broken. As of today, we are waiting for our new mother board.Keep in mind, the mother board has already been replaced and the fridge has not been used since January! We are waiting for the latest part to arrive for them to come out for the 10th time! Each time they come, they find something else wrong with my unit. They refuse to acknowledge that the technician has recommended a replacement refrigerator on 2 separate occasions. They refuse to send this updated information to AHS. I have requested a 3 way call with AHS and STAR but STAR refuses. They have installed faulty parts in our fridge and have not been able to fix it after 9 visits. *** has informed me that all STAR has to do is call their ******************* and recommend replacement, but they insist on coming to my home and wasting everyone's time by installing bad parts. Their logo says, "Do It Right The First Time" yet here we are, waiting for their 10th visit. I have been in communication with **** and ***** regarding this issue and they do nothing to help. I sent photos to **** of the report from their technician on 5/17 and she confirmed receipt of them but they refuse to acknowledge the recommendation of a replacement. STAR is so shady and dishonest.

    To whom it may concern Gentlemen,On 2/28/2023 I requested a repair for my ** refrigerator from my Home warranty company. They sent the tech on 3/17/2023 but he did not do it right. They are trying to make it a way to rip me off more and more. The Vendor they assigned ( Star Appliances repair) did not do good job, the refrigerator failed and never worked properly after they fixed it: They were supposed to bring it to its previous working condition, But they did not: The refrigerator does not cool enough, the ice maker is not making any ice, the lower freezer of the same refrigerator is not freezing even a bottled water.I am a senior citizen, on very low social security, and cannot buy a new refrigerator now. And I need your help in this complaint. The person answering the phone call ( ******* is very rude and courteous at all with customers. She keeps hanging up on customers very rudely Please read the file attached with all the attachments.Thank you ********************* *************

    - their repair-people broke one of our k**** on our stove. - they refuse to take responsibility for it - during an investigation with our home warranty company, they lied and said the k*** issue was our fault - the manager of the company threatened my family and me if I called them back for further assistance
