Proceed with caution. Upselling expensive plumbing and remediation services could be in play. Rooter King leaves a lot to be wished for in the quality of contractors they send to your home. Remember that many plumbers work on commission and will try to upsell you everything instead of focusing on your plumbing leak. They also could do nothing and aren't great in their relationships with home warranties and fulfilling the terms of their agreements with such companies. I'd give Rooter King a zero star if it was available simply because they 100% did nothing at my home and collected a 100 service fee with no regard for the leak. I had to call another contractor.

We received a service call for this homeowner thru email. Contacted customer and scheduled for same day service. Notation on service call were Leak (see dampness).. Our technician arrived on location customer took him to kitchen area were leak was located. Leak was behind cabinet, cabinet has a backing also stucco from the outside. Technician then proceeded to call home warranty authorization ***** to get approval to make access. The home warranty did NOT cover access either thru cabinet backing removal or stucco. They stated access is not a covered item through the policy he currently has. Also they do not cover secondary damage.. Therefore we would like to clarify this service call we received through the 2-10 home warranty company regarding the leak that was reported. Our company is contracted directly with the warranty provider, and all service authorizations, coverage decisions, and fees are determined by them not by us. On 7/23/2025, our technician again inspected the leak. Based on findings, the source of the water appeared to be coming from behind the cabinet backing or possibly the exterior stucco. Per the warranty guidelines this was considered an "access issue". The warranty company advised the cabinet backing would need to be removed by homeowner in order for us to re-access and re-evaluate the problem. Once that step was completed , we would have been able to return, re-access, and submit our findings for coverage determination. Because of the situation the warranty company initially placed the work order on hold. When we followed up with the warranty and informed them that no call back was made by homeowner and we told them we didn't do any repairs they actually waived the $100 service fee. At that point, the warranty company instructed us to close work order and again confirmed the service fee of $100 was being waived. Check#**** for $100 that was provided to technician was never cashed or deposited. We are happy to return to customer marked "VOID" for there records. They can call our office or email and let us know were we may send VOIDED check to. Furthermore, it is inaccurate to suggest that we attempted to upsell expensive plumbing work. No repairs were ever performed beyond the initial visit, which was placed on hold solely due to access issues. Homeowner needs to understand service contract is with 2-10 home buyers warranty not with Rooter King. We perform work only under their authorization and within the limits of there coverage they approve. We do not set the rules regarding coverage or fees. We regret any frustration this has caused. For future claims homeowner may always request that another plumbing contractor be assigned if they prefer. Should the warranty provider assign us again, we will of course be happy to assist them under their guidelines. Again homeowner may call our office or email to inform us if he would like VOIDED check mailed to them for there records.

Had the unfortunate experience of crossing paths with this company in the past week regarding a leaking faucet which needed to be replaced. Job was assigned by a home warranty company, AHS, which I also regret having a contract with. (not to be renewed). No use going into the gory details of my experience. One thing I learned. If a home warranty company is using a plumbing contractor for its claims, avoid the plumbing contractor like the plague. They are likely a bottom feeder looking to make money by helping a home warranty company avoid paying claims because they cant compete with competitors doing their job in a professional manner.

I am just disappointed and at a loss. ?? Company came out to fix our main water line, they fixed the issue and left. I went around the house testing our water pressure and our hallway bath was getting no pressure/water. We re-contacted Rooter King and we were advised we would have to pay an additional 1k for them to bust through my closet wall and fix the problem. A problem that didn't exist BEFORE they worked on my main waterline. ?? I just lost hope in them.

Rooter King Plumbing, LLC did indeed go out to this property due to a burst water heater. The h/o home warranty company sent us this dispatch to diagnose the problem. The water heater needed to be replaced, the h/o's warranty company gave us authorization to do so but would not cover what is considered out of pocket charges not covered by the warranty company. This was explained to the h/o by their warranty company with the amount for the charges and was accepted by the h/o or we would not have been able to proceed with the job. It was not a credit card application, it was a credit card authorization form giving us permission to run the credit card for the amount the warranty company would not cover. We do accept credit cards and would have gladly taken the information from the individual with the credit card autho form. We do not take advantage of anyone, nothing was forced upon the h/o, on Sept 10, 2022 we received an email from the warranty company stating the h/o accepted the out of pocket charges and to proceed with scheduling the job. No one was lied to and as a licensed contractor we have to replace the parts so a warranty can be given.
