While at the Home Show in Glendale, Arizona on February 28th,I purchased a hair styling brush from DNA Hair Tools after getting a demonstration.
Then, on March 2nd I plugged it in to try it out and it didn’t turn. I tried different outlets and it still wouldn’t turn on after pressing the switch. It evidently has a faulty swich. It looks like I dot a dud after paying $135.75. The company’s return policy is to pay $29.95 to return it.
I called the company and related this information to the girl that answered and was told someone would call me. No return call. Then I contacted them via text on their website with this info and never heard from them. I would like my money refunded. I don’t want to deal with a company that has no customer service and I’ll gladly return the item.Initial Complaint

In January 2025, after having spent a week with my elderly grandma and demonstrated my own products from DNA Hair Tools on her, she asked me to order her one. I did once returning home. When she received the package, it was the incorrect product. On January 24th I emailed the company after having coached my grandma through taking a picture of what she received. Customer support seemed very attentive and asked her to send the product back and they would replace the item with the correct one. They asked for my receipt and I sent that, along with my email confirmation by January 27. I never heard from them again. On February 4 I emailed for an update and eta for the replacement product. On February 10 I emailed again, this time upset that I had not been contacted in nearly two weeks. I also called and left a voicemail at their business number. Today I called again and left a voicemail. I just want a replacement for my grandma. This is absolutely ridiculous.Initial Complaint

Good afternoon. I purchased two hair wands at a Trade Show in Atlanta. Paid $217. They were going to ship to my home address. They fixed my hair that day. I walked two booths down and my hair was a mess and it harmed my hair. I, in turn, contacted them and they said that they would return my funds once they received the product back. I paid to ship the two unopened boxes back and have never received a dime in return. You will see from the email string they they supposedly "TRIED" to refund the money but my bank said that this never occurred. They never did try to return anything. That is theft. Please someone help me. They refuse to answer any calls or return any messages and refuse to acknowledge emails any longer. Again, this is theft. I really need this money back. Please help.Initial Complaint

On December 6, a DNA Tool representative demonstrated a hair tool on me at the San Antonio Rock n' Roll Marathon expo that I liked and told her I wanted to buy. I attached a picture. When I got home to Illinois, I discovered that that was not the hair tool that she gave me. It was completely different and one that I did not want. I immediately contacted DNA to request the correct hair tool and for a mailing label to send back the one that I did not ask for. To date this issue is not resolved. At one point DNA offered even another tool that I was not interested in. I just want the one she demonstrated on me and that I told her I wanted. If that is not possible, I would like a refund and a mailing label to sent back the one that I did not ask for.Initial Complaint

Took my son to Mr Olympia for graduation present. Looked at DNA Hair Tool booth when at vendor expo Saturday afternoon. Made a full purchase. When we got back home (to our hotel room an hour later), took everything out of the bag, and saw the band to the hair extension was tied and came undone. Also saw I was given the wrong hair tools from the one I selected. We immediately went back over to the convention center (it was a 20 minute walk), and not really worried about anything. Got there, and a lot of the vendors had already packed up, including DNA Hair Tools. There was nobody there to help me. When we got home from our trip 2 days later, I reached out to DNA Hair Tools on their website, described the situation, asked to return the broken hair extension and wrong hair tool for a refund, and was informed they do not accept returns or do refunds. While I would generally agree with this policy, I was given something that was broken and another that was the wrong item and no opportunity to take care of it on site as nobody was there. Everything is still sitting in the bag it was given to me in, and this needs to be accepted for a full refund. I spent $596.06, and it was on October 12th.Initial Complaint

Good afternoon. While attending a trade show in Atlanta for the Peachtree Road Race, I purchased two curling irons. I paid $217. They didn't work. I contacted the company the next day following the race and they said that I could return and they would refund. I did this. Have the confirmation of the return. They even confirmed that they received the items after I kept reaching out. They assured me that they would issue a refund for the two unused in the box items. After months of bck and forth, they kept saying that American Express had a block on them for the credit. American Express denies this in every form. They would never deny a customer a credit. They did, however block them from ever trying to charge me again. I have no product. I returned it to them at their direction and am still out my $217 months later. I am so disgusted at the amount of time that I have spent on this and how many others are likely in the same boat. Please help. Please. I will attach the email from the company claiming that they will issue a refund once they receive the items. I did my part. Again, they failed to do theirs. Lastly, they charged my card twice and refunded once. So don't let that fool you if they show you ONE refund. There needs to be TWO refunds since there were TWO charges. Thank you for your time.Initial Complaint

After one month and only using it one time, the hair iron no longer works. Can’t seem to get a replacement without purchasing a hefty shipping fee.Initial Complaint

I purchased two curling irons at the Peachtree road race expo in Atlanta. I verified my address, email and phone number on their mobile pos. When I received the tracking information my address was incorrect. I have attempted to call and email but have not received a response or solution.Initial Complaint

On April 14th I attended the Boston Marathon Expo where a woman from DNA Hair Tools approached me and asked me if I was interested in seeing how their product worked. She seemed very nice and showed me their curling iron. She explained and went through very clearly all about their products, how it worked, and how amazing they are. She showed me on my hair different curls that could be done. She never mentioned to me that all sales are final, and I thought this would make a great gift. After receiving the package in the mail (Order #100111424), the person I bought it for said she didn't want it and that I should return it. I took out the packing slip and went to the website to see about return details and found that all sales are final. I would have NEVER purchased this if I knew that the sale was final. I emailed the company immediately the day after the package was received asking for a refund and how to make that happen. I did not hear back from them for a few days, so I sent them a second email. The representative who answered shared that all sales are final, and I emailed back again asking for a refund and received a response that this would need to go to higher management and that if I was given a refund that I would need to return the tool which I was happy to do. That email was on April 26th, and it is now May 2nd and no response. I have emailed them trying to follow up and find out how I can return their tool for a full refund. I then went online to see about reviews of this company and now come to this page and see all the complaints on this company and wonder how they are in business and how they get into all these expos and take people for their money and not be honest. Right now, all I want is my refund of the product and to return the unopened tool to the company and have nothing to do with them ever again.
