    On Thursday 6/20, I was notified, by email, from the office manager at Avilla Tanque Verde that my apartment was flooding due to a leak.
    I was not home at the time, and when I got in contact with the manager I was told the water had been shut off and repairs were to be made on the washer valve that caused the flood.
    I went my apt about 2 hrs later and there were signs of how far the water had traveled (through the livingroom, reaching the kitchen, and through the linen closet to the bedroom closet.)
    What I had near the wall I share with my neighbor had to be moved. Also, some of my personal belongings show signs of water/damage.
    Some stuff on the floor of the linen closet shows signs of water and everything on the floor of my bedroom closet had to be removed.
    This puts a strain on my living situation as I don't have immediate access to my daily necessities.
    I sent an email and followed up with a phone call to the office manager asking for some sort of assistance as rent will be due and my electricity was running for more than 24 hours straight. (From Thursday to Monday, to be exact.) His reply was "as far as the valve goes, there was no way of knowing it was going to break."
    However, while on this phone call he did mention that the same situation happened to a different tenant on their move-out day. So this IS and HAS BEEN a known issue.
    On Tuesday 6/25, I was able to get a response from the manager that my unit would be checked on. And upon entering he stated "the plumbing company was taking pictures because the fans have been turned off."
    I stated that I suffer from migraines and can't live with all the noise from the blowers. Also, if they would've told me how long to keep them running, I could've accommodated. I feel like they are trying to blame me for the situation.
    I'm in need of some help with this issue.
    This is NOT the first time I've had a leak in my apt. Summer of 2023 my neighbor's washer valve broke and water seeped through the wall into my apt.
